Bree Van De Kamp
As the final season rolls on, it’s becoming clear just how ‘Desperate’ these housewives really are.
The plot thickened on the Oct. 2 episode of Desperate Housewives, as a visit to Paul Young (Mark Moses) in prison revealed to Bree (Marcia Cross) that her gratuitously shirtless detective boyfriend may be the one who sent her that chilling letter last week! Though honestly, if people would remember to put the return address on their mail, such problems would not exist.
Real talk: Which housewife do you think is most likely to follow Mary-Alice’s lead and shoot herself in the head? Just asking… It’s official: the Desperate Housewives are back — and I’m not just talking about the show itself. Susan (Teri Hatcher), Gaby (Eva Longoria), Lynette (Felicity Huffman) and Bree (Marcia Cross) finally came together…
Eva, Teri, Marcia and Felicity have aged like fine wine during the past seven seasons.
A thought struck us as we pored over the new crop of Desperate Housewives photos from the upcoming eighth season: Not only do Teri Hatcher, Eva Longoria, Marcia Cross and Felicity Huffman look amazing, but they actually look better than they did when the show first premiered back in 2004! Apparently when the women of Wisteria Lane aren’t busy solving — and sometimes committing — murders, they’re busy bathing in the fountain of youth. Browse our gallery of then-and-now pictures and marvel at how incredible the ladies look seven years later.
Is it just me, or is ‘Desperate Housewives’ looking a lot like ‘Pretty Little Liars’ these days?
As if that last sentence wasn’t enough to make me cash in my man card, I’ll also add this: I’m super-excited for the upcoming eighth, and final, season of Desperate Housewives. Covering up a murder is really going to bond Susan (Teri Hatcher), Lynette (Felicity Huffman), Bree (Marcia Cross) and Gabby (Eva Longoria) — and you know this show is at its best when the women are working together.
Paul enlisted the help of his mortal enemy Feb. 13 to find out who tried to kill him. As it turns out, the answer was… kind of obvious.
It was Zach (Cody Kasch), okay? Zach Young shot his daddy (Mark Moses) point blank after last winter’s big riot. I’m sorry to come to right out and say it without a big “spoiler alert,” but wasn’t it obvious at this point? It was even obvious to Paul, who asked Mike (James Denton) to track down his biological drug-addict son personally. But maybe Mike should have been paying less attention to Zach and more attention to his wife…
Season 7, episode 8: ‘Sorry Grateful’ brought crying babies & illegal immigrants galore!
In the spirit of the Nov. 14 episode’s title (yeah, I think I’ll do that from now on) there were definitely things I was “sorry” about and “grateful” for. Obviously I felt sorry for the crumbling families (Gaby’s immigration snafoo, Susan’s crying fits and Beth’s mommy issues) but at the same time, I was grateful for all the same reasons. We’ve got some serious drama on our hands, here — and I’m talking death-threatening-husband-stealing-felony-committing DRAMA.
