Joe and Jessica are just one of many A-listers who are stepping up to fight famine in Africa — more than 30,000 children have died in just three months!

Joe Jonas is promoting his new solo album, Jessica Alba just had a baby but these stars aren’t too busy to stand up for what is right! The actors are a part of Bono‘s new ONE PSA titled The F Word: Famine is the Real Obscenity. The PSA was created in an effort to raise awareness for the tens of thousands of children that died of starvation in 2011.

The Horn of Africa is a peninsula in East Africa, which is home to Ethiopia and Somalia. They are currently facing their worst drought in more than 60 years and it’s threatening the lives of more than 12 million people.

“More than 30,000 children have died in just 3 months. Mothers are forced to decide who to feed and who to let die. In 2011? That’s obscene,” Bono says. “This is complicated, no-one’s pretending it’s easy – Somalia has been without a functioning government for 20 years – but droughts don’t have to result in famine, just look at Ethiopia and Kenya who have preventative policies in place. There are things that can be done, and if we really believe the life of a child in East Africa is worth the same as the lives of our own children, we have to act.”

The PSA is calling for world governments to provide the $650 million needed for assistance, and to fulfill their commitment to invest $22 billion in agriculture for African governments.

Who wore Jean Paul Gaultier better?

Who would have thought Kylie Minogue had the same edgy style as Rihanna? Last year, RiRi performed with Jay-Z and Bono as part of the Hope For Haiti Now telethon at The Hospital Club in London. She paired her shimmering couture Jean Paul Gaultier dress with a leather baker boy hat and Christian Louboutin Pigalle heels — but that wasn’t the last time we saw this get-up!

Kylie opted for the same frock when she met Prince William after appearing on the Royal Variety Show. The star wore the hot red version with Emilio Pucci Spring 2011 thigh-high boots.

I like Kylie as much as the next Loco-Motion fan, but I can’t help but think she looks more like Santa Claus than the pop princess she is! The boots were overkill in my opinion. Rihanna rocks the leather with effortless style. Do you agree?

The latest tragedy — a performer fell 30 feet — should be last straw for this problem-filled production!

The problems just keep coming for the ‘upcoming’ Broadway musical Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark. After a string of troubled performances, poor buzz and increasing budget woes, a massive injury Dec. 20 should be the nail in the coffin for the show.

The New York Post reports stunt double Christopher Tierney was the latest victim of the stunt-filled spectacle, where a fall due to a faulty rope left the aerialist with broken ribs and internal bleeding.

Mistakes and errors have been increasingly common on the Broadway production, but this accident — the third before the show has even opened — is by far the most serious. The injury is being investigated by several offices, ranging from the state Department of Labor to the FDNY.

All of these injuries are indicative of a production troubled from the start, which should be shut down before more people fall victim to glitches. We love musicals, and this collaboration between Julie Taymor and U2‘s Bono and The Edge sounds promising — but it’s NOT worth the suffering of those working on it.

And we’re not the only ones concerned:

1. Broadway star Alice Ripley tweeted: DOES SOMEONE HAVE TO DIE? WHERE IS THE LINE FOR THE DECISION MAKERS, I AM CURIOUS. SPIDERMAN SHOULD BE ASHAMED OF ITSELF. THIIS IS COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE AND EMBARRASSING TO WORKING ACTORS EVERYWHERE.
2. Adam Pascal posted to Facebook: “They should put Julie Taymor in Jail for assault! I know what its like to fall and get hurt in front of 2000 people. It’s no fun, but at least it was the one time it happened. I hope whoever was hurt is OK and sues the s**t out of Julie, Bono, Edge and every other a**hole who invested in that steaming pile of actor crippling s**t!”

Spider-Man: Turn Off The Dark needs to have the plug pulled.

Early reports say Spidey’s Broadway debut needs a lot of work before it’s ready for the public.

With a budget of more than $65 million, Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark is the most expensive show in Broadway history — and it also might be the most flawed. The Julie Taymor-directed musical had its first preview performance Nov. 28, and although the high-flying acrobatics left young theater-goers enthralled, The New York Times reports that the show was marred with mistakes and actually stopped five times throughout its run of more than three hours.

Stop No. 1 came during a scene in Peter Parker’s (Reeve Carney) bedroom, when the Times says the star had to be released from a harness. But this minor glitch was nothing compared to the blunder that occurred at the end of Act I. The Times reports that Spider-Man landed on stage with Mary Jane Watson (Jennifer Damiano) in his arms, but instead of following that up with another successful high-jump, Spidey was suspended “several yards up and over the audience, then stopped.”

And what would an unpolished performance be without a good heckler? During a pause in Act II, an angry patron yelled out, “I don’t know how everyone else feels, but I feel like a guinea pig today! I feel like it’s a dress rehearsal!”

The Edge’s daughter, Sian, has beaten cancer, but her mom, Morleigh Steinberg, says that the family struggled to stay positive as she fought for her life.

Morleigh Steinberg, the wife of U2 rocker The Edge — real name David Evans – has described for the first time the “hell” the couple went through as their now 13-year-old daughter, Sian, battled cancer. As any mother would be, Morleigh was devastated in 2006 when she discovered that her daughter had leukemia. ”You’re in shock then you just go into survival mode,” she tells WENN. ”The whole thing is hell but at the same time you stay positive and you really live. You live more because you don’t want to take anything for granted.”

After The Edge, 49, received the news, U2 postponed some of the dates on their Vertigo tour so that the guitarist could be home with his family — Morleigh and The Edge also have a son, Levi, 11. The supportive dad took his daughter to receive treatment in both Los Angeles and his hometown of Dublin, Ireland, and she has now made a solid recovery.  ”She’s through it and she’s fine,” Morleigh says.

In March 2009, The Edge made a comment that he had “a brush with cancer” in his own family — refusing to elaborate — that led him to join the fight against the disease. Now we know that it was Sian who was battling the deadly illness. The Edge is involved with the Angiogenesis Foundation, an organization using new scientific techniques to treat cancer, blinding diseases, wounds, and other serious conditions.

We are happy to hear that Sian has recovered and is doing well!

The older son of Gavin Rossdale and Gwen Stefani packed his long weekend in New York City with a bunch of cool stuff — including sitting in the front row of a runway show at New York Fashion Week!

Kingston Rossdale may only be 4 years old, but he still knows how to be a good New York City tourist! The super-stylish tot took advantage of all the Big Apple has to offer during a long weekend in town with his parents, Gavin Rossdale, 45, and Gwen Stefani, 40.

After he and his little brother Zuma, 2, got a dose of American history with a visit to the USS Intrepid Museum on the Hudson River, Kingston donned his best Batman T-shirt and joined Mom for a mani-pedi before getting his hair gelled and donning a sporty blazer for an outing with Dad, where he sat in the front row at the Edun fashion show (designed by Bono‘s wife, Ali Hewson).

Younger brother Zuma, 2, tagged along for part of the adventure, including a Sunday afternoon trip to the Manhattan Children’s Museum, and Kingston capped it all with a New York staple: the ride in a yellow cab. Welcome to New York, Kiddo! Enjoy your stay while you’re here!

Chelsea was not the only big wedding yesterday, as Alicia walked down the aisle with her rap producer boyfriend in Europe!

A pregnant Alicia Keys tied the knot yesterday with her boyfriend since 2008, rap producer Swizz Beatz. The Daily Mail reports, “The singer, who is due to give birth in November, walked down the aisle yesterday in front of a host of celebrity guests, including U2 rocker Bono and Queen Latifah.” Congratulations!

For the wedding, which took place in Corsica, the bride wore a flowing white Vera Wang gown and headband while her groom wore a white tuxedo and bow tie. Deepak Chopra presided over the ceremony. The night of the wedding Swizz Beats tweeted “Wowwwwwwwwww”, followed by: “It’s a brand new day :) I feel like Nas and Diddy song :) love y’all and blessing!”

The new couple arrived at the popular resort destination about a week ago and had been seen tanning and relaxing in the posh town. This is the first wedding for the 29-year-old singer and the second for 31-year-old Swizz, whose birth name is Kasseem Dean.
