Manute Bol is remembered for his record height of 7 feet, 7 inches, and ability to block more shots on the basketball court than many players could score points. Although the NBA player died in 2010, his son Bol Bol is a rising star in basketball. At already 6 feet, 5 inches in seventh grade, Bol dominated the court at the 2012 Cross Roads Elite Camp in Indianapolis.

Manute Bol, a Sudanese-born basketball player and activist, became famous as one of the tallest players to ever play in the NBA. He spent his career as a player for several NBA teams in the 1980s and ’90s, including the Washington Bullets, Philadelphia 76ers, and Miami Heat.

His son Bol Bol is on his way to follow in his father’s rather large footsteps. A YouTube video of the seventh grader playing at the 2012 Cross Roads Elite Camp in Indianapolis shows the middle schooler displaying an impressive range on the court.
