January Jones has given birth to a baby boy she has named Xander Danes Jones. What great news! What do you think of the name?

A rep for the 33-year-old confirmed the happy news to People, revealing January and little Xander are both happy and healthy.

The actress has kept the identity of Xander’s father under wraps, and sources say she’s happy to raise her new addition solo.

After her pregnancy was announced, an insider told People, “She’s really looking forward to this new chapter in her life as a single mom.”

Congratulations January and good luck with baby Xander. We can’t wait to see the first photos of this baby boy — he’s bound to be a cutie!

The ‘In Plain Sight’ actress gave birth to baby number three early on Saturday morning, Sept. 10.

Mary McCormack is now a mom to three girls, and she didn’t wasted any time sharing her happy news with followers on Twitter — she logged on within hours of giving birth!

“It’s a girl! She’s not named yet… She’s so great but I’m biased,” Mary tweeted. And on Sept. 15 she added, “Finally our little girl has a name. It’s Lillian. Lil for short.”

The little newborn has two older sisters, Margaret, 7, and four-year-old Rose — 42-year-old Mary’s children with producer husband Michael Morris.

Celebrity pal and fellow new parent David Burtka — Neil Patrick Harris‘ partner — tweeted his congratulations as soon as he heard the news, announcing, “Congrats to our good friend @marycmccormack she just had her 3rd baby!! Another girl! She’s the best mom!”

We sense an adorable play date in the future with David and Neil’s super cute twins Gideon and Harper!

Congratulations Mary and Michael. We can’t wait to meet her!

The director’s third son arrived on Monday morning, September 5, after an emergency Cesarean.

Director Guy Ritchie‘s girlfriend Jacqui Ainsley has given birth to the couple’s first child — a little half brother for Rocco, 11, and David, 5, Guy’s sons from his marriage to Madonna. Great news! The birth wasn’t without drama, model Jacqui, 29, needed an emergency C-section at London’s Portland Hospital, but sources tell the Daily Mirror newspaper the baby boy was born healthy — and both mother and son are both doing fine.

The new parents only began dating in April 2010 and announced their baby news this March — three years after Guy divorced Madonna.

We’re thrilled for them both and can’t wait to see the first photos of the new arrival!

The former Spice Girl’s THIRD daughter arrived at 5am (PST) on Thursday, September 1!

Melanie Brown aka Mel B announced the happy news on Twitter, but not after dramatic photos hit the internet, showing her arriving at Cedar’s Sinai Hospital in Beverly Hills, doubled over in pain and helped along by husband Stephen Belafonte and a bodyguard!

The 36-year-old tweeted on Thursday evening, “Finally our baby arrives, Stephen nearly passed out, Phoenix screamed, I laughed so hard the baby popped out!!! She is just sooo amazing!!’

Her publicist later confirmed, ‘This evening Melanie Brown and husband Stephen Belafonte welcomed their new baby girl in Los Angeles. This is the first child for Mel and Stephen and both mum and baby are happy, healthy and doing well.”

There’s no news of a baby name, yet.

Baby number three didn’t arrive without a struggle. Just this week Mel shared her frustration with followers as she waited in vain for her baby to arrive.

She tweeted,”I’ve tried everything, I’ve tried the hot food, the running, the sex, the violence, I’ve tried it all. It just seems to be stuck and hibernating in there getting bigger and bigger, so it’s coming out this week for sure.”

Former Spice Girls bandmate Mel C was one of the first friends to congratulate her on the birth, hitting twitter to coo, “So so happy for my dear friend @OfficialMelB and @stephenthinks1 another girl #girlpower woo hoo! Congratulations x x x”

Mel already has two daughters; Phoenix Chi, 12, from her marriage to Jimmy Gulzar and Angel, 4, from her relationship with Eddie Murphy.

And the new arrival has already got a playmate in waiting — fellow Spice Girl Victoria Beckham‘s newborn daughter Harper!

Congratulations to Mel and Stephen. We can’t wait to meet the newest Spice Baby!

The singer’s wife gave birth to a baby girl on Sunday, August 28!

Jason Castro and his wife Mandy are celebrating the birth of baby daughter Madeline Emilia Castro. Don’t you just love the name?!Season seven finalist Jason, 24 made sure fans and Twitter followers were kept up to date throughout the labor on Sunday (Aug. 28), by live tweeting from the delivery room!

And he revealed little Madeline arrived after an early morning false alarm! He tweeted, “My wife woke up at 5:30 this morning with contractions… came to the birth center and they sent us home! we werent quite ready.. until now!”

When Madeline finally decided she was ready to pop out, Jason rewarded fans with an adorable Twitpic, showing him cradling his newborn daughter, just hours old!

Madelina is the cutest — we can’t wait to see more photos!

Kimberly is no longer dating Benicio, but they’re both thrilled to be first-time parents!

Rod Stewart‘s socialite daughter Kimberly Stewart gave birth to a baby girl in Los Angeles on Sunday August 21. The new arrival weighs a very healthy eight pounds and seven ounces!Rod and his wife Penny Lancaster were in the labor ward to help 32-year-old Kimberly through the delivery, along with her mom, Rod’s first wife Alana Collins.

Penny was able to give her stepdaughter some expert advice — she only gave birth to her second child with Rod, son Aiden, in February!

It was the pregnancy shocker of the year when Kimberly announced she was expecting Oscar winner Benicio Del Toro’s baby after a brief fling.

The 44-year-old actor didn’t shirk his responsibilities and quickly confirmed he was the daddy. His rep told reporters, “Benicio is the father and very supportive. Although [he and Kimberly] are not a couple, they are looking forward to the arrival of the baby.”

No word if he was present at the birth — but we’re sure he’s racing to the hospital to see his newborn right now, so he and Kimberly can start picking names!

Rocker Rod meanwhile is coming to terms with becoming a grandad at 66! The father of EIGHT recently confided, “I’m going to be a grandfather, I’ve been waiting for that for so long – that and getting my bus pass – the two things I was looking forward to getting.”

We’re in the midst of a global baby boom — an amazing 78 million infants are born EACH YEAR!

Newly released figures reveal the population is growing faster than ever and there’ll be seven billion of us by October this year!

The data, compiled by the United Nations, shows the seven billion mark will be reached by the end of October 2011, and projects there’ll be eight billion of us by 2025 and nine billion by 2050. Whoa!

To show how quickly the population has exploded, there were fewer than one billion people alive in 1800 and just three billion as recently as 1960!

Robert says, “With the population still growing by about 80 million each year, it’s hard not to be alarmed.”

“Right now on Earth, water tables are falling, soil is eroding, glaciers are melting, and fish stocks are vanishing. Close to a billion people go hungry each day.”

“How we’re going to feed 9billion people by 2050 is a daunting question.”

Research shows the biggest boom is in the developing world — where there’s inadequate birth control, and families often struggle to feed and clothe their little ones, and that IS a worry.
