You may remember that on Oct. 24, 2012, Donald Trump posted a video on his Twitter account, asking President Barack Obama to release his college records and passport application so that “the American people will be happy” — in exchange he would give $5 million to charity. Bill Maher poked fun at Trump on Jan. 7, but now Trump is firing back.

On The Tonight Show With Jay Leno, Maher commented that he would love to write a huge check if Trump could prove he was not the “spawn of his mother having sex with an orangutan.”

Donald Trump Fights Back

The next day, on Jan. 8, Trump’s lawyer, Scott S. Balber, released a letter to Yahoo! It reads:

“Dear Mr. Maher:
I represent Mr. Donald J. Trump.  I write on his behalf to accept your offer (made during the Jay Leno Show on January 7, 2013) that Mr. Trump prove he is not the “spawn of his mother having sex with an orangutan.”
Attached hereto is a copy of Mr. Trump’s birth certificate, demonstrating that he is the son of Fred Trump, not an orangutan. Please remit the $5 million to Mr. Trump immediately and he will ensure that the money be donated to the following five charities in equal amounts: Hurricane Sandy Victims, The Police Athletic League, The American Cancer Society, The March of Dimes, and The Dana-Farber Cancer Institute.

Back in October, President Obama ignored Trumps request, but did poke fun of the demand on Leno saying their feud “dates back to when we were growing up together in Kenya.”
