Bianca Lawson may be six feet under on Pretty Little Liars, but she’s alive and kicking on Teen Wolf — with an emphasis on the “kicking” part. Her character, guidance counselor Ms. Morrell, was revealed to have a much more bad-ass agenda on the second season finale, and Bianca tells HollywoodLife.com it’s only going to get more bad ass from here.

Just when I think you can’t be on any more of my favorite shows, you go and join Teen Wolf. 

That’s a really good one! [Executive producer] Jeff Davis is amazing. I’m so excited about that one.

And just like on PLL, we’re getting little nuggets about your character as the season goes on.

Exactly! It’s all super-mysterious. It’s so funny, because on the episode where I’m sitting in the vet’s office and I ask if he’s going to tell them what’s coming, I was literally like, ‘Jeff, can you tell ME what’s coming so I know what I’m talking about? What’s coming? What am I referring to?’ And he was like, ‘I can’t tell you.’ But it’s fun, because I could kind of let my imagination run wild, and it’s really limitless. Each script made me go, ‘Ooh! Ah!’ It’s a similar situation with Pretty Little Liars where I went script by script to see where it went.

And ‘where it went’ ended up being your little leather number at the end of the season finale.

Right, my little leather outfit! Jeff was like, ‘OK, no more counselor. Now it’s time to get bad ass.’

Does that mean we might see you kicking some ass in season three?

I hope so! I don’t know specifically what the story lines are going to be for the next season, but they definitely left it open in that way for my character. The Alphas are coming, [Ms. Morrell and the vet] are on their way to investigate something … something mysterious and cryptic we’ll one day find out about.

Am I crazy, or did you refer to the vet as your dad in that last scene?

No, but I saw that recap and I was dying laughing. I actually thought you were just being funny. I don’t think I referred to him as my dad.

OK, then I think I may have started something terrible.

I actually don’t know what their relationship is. I don’t know if he’s her relative or just a co-worker or whatever. We’ll see.

Are you excited to shoot season three in LA instead of Atlanta?

Yes, it’s moving to LA and I’m so excited! Atlanta’s nice, but I like being able to go home after work at the end of the day.

We’ve seen you on so many shows at this point. Do you have any dream shows to go on?

I love Homeland, and I’m really obsessed with Battleground right now. Everyone says to get into Game of Thrones, but I haven’t started watching that yet. I did love Rome and The Tudors and the Borgais and all that. For sure Homeland, though. It’s amazing. I also used to be really into Dexter, but I started working and lost track.

Please don’t go on Dexter. We’ve all seen you die enough times.

Right? I’d be cut into little pieces on that show!

All right, last question: When are you joining Twitter?

I go back and forth. I was all ready to do it at one point, but then backed out. I know me, and I know I’ll want to respond to every little thing. Some people are really good about tweeting every now and then and not really responding, but I can see myself tweeting all day and night and becoming totally obsessive. I’ll want to answer everyone, but if they catch me at the wrong time, I’ll be really tired and probably reveal something way too personal — and then I can’t take it
back. … Also, I get really stressed out thinking about what my first tweet would be. My friends and I have a couple, like “YOLO!” or crazy ones like, “Revenge is a dish best served cold.” But I don’t know, maybe I’d just say hi. Like, ‘Hi, world!’

There’s some discrepency among fans: Is the betrayer definitely one of the 12 people on ABC Family’s online tracker?

I think we can say that, yes. But there’s a lot that goes on. We find out who killed Maya, and we also find out another member of the “A” team. So there could be multiple betrayals.

Do you think revealing Maya’s killer will help the ‘Emaya’ fans find some closure?

I’ve always subtitled this episode “Justice for Maya,” so I’m hoping the answer is yes.

I spoke with Bianca last week, and she said there’s one more Maya video we haven’t seen. Is that true?

That is true, and you’ll see it tomorrow night!

How far into the episode is the betrayer revealed? Right away, or are you making us sweat it out?

You’re going to have to sweat it out — for a little while, at least. The last half of the episode is a shotgun; It just doesn’t stop. There’s so much that happens, and we’re really proud of this episode. It’s become my all-time favorite episode. I showed it to Shay Mitchell and Ashley Benson the other day, and they were just screaming! I actually video taped them because they were screaming their heads off so much. It feels like a huge season-ending finale, as opposed to a summer finale.

Which of the liars delivers the most heartbreaking performance on the finale?

Because it’s “justice for Maya,” and we’ve been open about that, I think you’ll see that Shay just rocks this episode. It’s a stunning performance. She blows me away every time, and I’ve seen it 10 times.

Do you have a definite list of all the “A” team members, or are you keeping your options open?

We definitely know the list. It’s in my head, not written down anywhere, but if we’re going to attempt to be as smart as we try to be, we have to know the end game.

Emayans will finally get some justice when Maya’s killer is revealed on the Aug. 28 summer finale of Pretty Little Liars, so I decided to bust out my Ouija board and have a little chat with the dearly departed herself. Even though Bianca Lawson said she’s being kept in the dark just as much as we are, she was able to shed some light on a few of Rosewood’s most closely guarded secrets.

The last time we talked, Maya was alive — and now she’s not. I feel like a lot of your TV characters die, or in some cases, start off already dead.

I know, right? It’s really weird. I wonder what that means. … Maybe I’m working something out from a past life.

But even when your characters die, they’re still very much a part of the story.

Yes, my memory stays alive!

What was your reaction when you first found out Maya was going to die?

I wasn’t exactly told. I didn’t get the ‘this is your fate’ phone call, so even I was like, ‘Oh, maybe she’s dead.’ There were rumors going around that someone was going to die, but there wasn’t an official call.

I know you can’t tell me who killed her, but … actually, do YOU even know?

Well… I shot everything, even the surveillance footage, in one little afternoon. So I got my sections of the script, and I remember reading something about someone being accused of killing Maya. I said to somebody on set, ‘Oh, so this is who killed Maya?’ And their response was, ‘As of right now…’ So I don’t actually know, but people ask me all the time, and I’m just like, ‘Dude, I don’t know.’ I’ll literally go into auditions for parts, and after I do my audition for big-time execs, they’ll say, ‘One more thing: Are you really dead on Pretty Little Liars? … And if you are, who killed you?’

So as of right now, you think you know who killed Maya. What was your reaction when you learned who that was?

Honestly, I was pretty shocked. The whole finale is shocking.

Well, I love the little videos Maya recorded for Emily. What was it like shooting those?

I knew I put these things on a website to document my life, but I never shot a death scene. Shooting the videos was really sweet. It was intimate and fun. I wasn’t acting with anyone else, I was just doing little vlogs, so it was nice. I had one of the writers there with me to figure out what I should be conveying, and what Maya was referring to. The writer knew what was coming up in a few episodes, but I didn’t know.

Did you film anything we haven’t seen yet?

I think there’s one more video message that I believe will be on the finale.

Real talk: It didn’t take long after Maya died for Emily to hop back into a relationship with the crazy girl who tried to drown her. How do you feel about Emily and Paige dating?

Well, Emily’s life does have to go on. She does have to find love and all of that. I don’t know too much about Paige, but I want Emily to be happy. So she should be with whoever makes her happy.

I know every episode of Pretty Little Liars is a parade of revelations and other-such discoveries, but this week’s episode was relentless in its shockery. For example: Did you know Garrett (Yani Gellman) wasn’t the last person to see Maya (Bianca Lawson) alive? Or that Emily (Shay Mitchell) might be bisexual? Or that Noel Kahn (Brant Daugherty) is on the football team? Those all came as equal, fantastic surprises to me.

Here’s a breakdown of the evening’s many reveals. (Try not to squee out loud):

1. “Hen” (or “Wranna,” or whatever) is happening:

Though Hanna (Ashley Benson) originally dissed and dismissed Dr. Wren’s (Julian Morris) charming British advancements, an injury she sustained at the Kahns’ cabin — she got stabbed in the leg and it was crazy — drew them together again. Wren came to her house, worked some kind of medical British magic on her leg, then cooked her dinner using whatever he found in the fridge. It sounded really gross and I wouldn’t have eaten a bite of it. (Related question for the group: How old is Wren supposed to be? A full-grown man in a hospital uniform looks ridiculous hitting on underage girls in coffee shops.)

2. Rosewood High has a football team & everyone is on it:

I know I can’t complain about this show’s lack of skin thus far — there has been so much skin, to be honest — but am I the only viewer appalled that we’re just now getting a glimpse into the Rosewood High locker room? We’re midway through season three; How long has Noel Kahn been on the football team? This seems like a very good thing waiting to happen, as Spencer (Troian Bellisario) discovered when she tried snooping through His Royal Eyebrows’ gym locker for a clue about Maya’s death. Though she ended up getting caught, “Noel” (or probably “A”) e-mailed Spencer a shocking video, which leads me to the next revelation…

3. Neither Noel, Jenna nor Garrett killed Maya:

Noel’s e-mail to Spencer contained security footage from the Kahns’ cabin the night of Maya’s death — and it ruled out three of the murder suspects! Noel and Jenna (Tammin Sursok) were seen going inside the cabin alone, and Garrett had already been arrested for allegedly killing Alison. (Side note: Garrett’s life sucks.) So who grabbed her outside the cabin? My money is on Paige (Lindsey Shaw). I already predicted this months ago, and now that she caught Emily kissing Nate (Sterling Sulieman), she’s only two episodes away from going Absolutely InsAne. Oh, right, about that kiss…

4. Emily is maybe, kinda, sorta bisexual — but probably not: 

Yes, Emily kissed Nate — but I believe it was merely a moment of weakness. He was crying and looked very sad in his V-neck t-shirt, so I don’t blame her for going to town on him, though she didn’t seem to be enjoying it. But at the end of the day, does it really matter what Emily was thinking? Paige walked in on them kissing, so regardless of any emotions, the girl is bound to go nuts and try to kill them both.

5. Ella is a hot piece:

Aria (Lucy Hale) got to know her mom’s new boyfriend, Bartender Zack (Steve Talley), and she definitely approves. I give my blessing, too. I’ve always loved Holly Marie Combs — my appreciation goes all the way back to Charmed — and I love seeing her getting to do something fun for once. Prior to this romance, Ella’s story lines either involved being clueless about Aria or being trapped in a tense marriage with Byron. Here’s hoping for more of this new Ella in the coming weeks.

6. Aria’s ex-games with Ezra:

It seems Aria is just as unlucky in love as her mom — and I’m referring to Ella’s horrific divorce, not her current affairs. After pestering Ezra (Ian Harding) about Maggie, his pregnant high-school girlfriend who was payed by Mrs. Fitzgerald to disappear forever, Aria finally learned the truth: Ezra knows exactly where Maggie is today. DELAWARE! (Ok, that’s not exactly her address, but something tells me “A” won’t have any trouble tracking her down.)

Maya may be six feet under on Pretty Little Liars, but even “A” can’t keep Bianca Lawson off our TV screens for long. In fact, Bianca is resurfacing on the June 18 episode of Teen Wolf as Ms. Morell, the new guidance counselor at Beacon Hills High! ”I think viewers will definitely be wondering how much she knows, as opposed to how much she’s letting on,” Bianca told HollywoodLife.com back in February when we first chatted about her new gig.

“It’s fun for me to still be in a school, but now now to sort of be on the other side of things,” she said. “It’s crazy, because I was obviously just playing a student.”

Bianca couldn’t give too much away, but she did admit there’s a “mysterious” aspect to Ms. Morrell. And even though the character’s last name may look like “moral,” it wouldn’t be smart to assume she’s a good guy just yet. We can, however, expect to her to interact quite a bit with Scott (Tyler Posey) and his fellow classmates.

And all you “Emaya” shippers will be happy to know Bianca is thrilled that you’re following her over to Teen Wolf.

“I’ve been very blessed,” Bianca said of her supportive fan base. “Very lucky.”

Pretty Little Liars fans were devastated when Emily’s (Shay Mitchell) girlfriend Maya (Bianca Lawson) was found dead on the second season finale, and it looks like season three will tackle that mystery right away June 5 with the introduction of Maya’s cousin Nathan (Sterling Sulieman). ”He’s a great character,” Shay told HollywoodLife.com and other reporters May 23 on the Rosewood set. ”I think for Emily, in some way, [he's] a reminder of Maya, and it brings a closeness to her.”

“It really does help in that grief period because he understands kind of what she feels, too,” Shay added. “There’s a different kind of connection when it’s family or someone that you love in that sort of way.”

Though it will be hard, Shay said Emily will have to come to terms with Maya’s death this season.

“Emily will eventually have to move on,” Shay said. “That is life. It’s unfortunate, and yes, she is mourning the loss of Maya, as is everybody. But at the same time, I think it’s also important to show that life does go on. So they have to understand that as well, but Maya is definitely a very special character.”

But before you freak out too much, Shay clarified that “as far as right now is concerned,” there are no plans for Emily to dip her toe back into the man pool in season three. Despite misleading photos fans may think they saw online, Emily is not bisexual.

So does that mean Emily will leap into the waiting arms of ex-girlfriend Paige (Lindsey Shaw)? Not so fast!

“Emily isn’t really wanting to jump right back into that whole dating thing again,” Shay revealed. “She and Paige had something before and they were dating for a little bit, but she’s lost her girlfriend, so what I think she needs is just emotional support from a friend more so than from a girlfriend.”

While Pretty Little Liars fans are still reeling from last night’s revelation that Mona (Janel Parrish) is “A”, or at least one member of the “A” Team, I’m here to talk about the other twist of the evening: Maya’s (Bianca Lawson) death! It was a heartbreaking moment for Emily (Shay Mitchell) and ‘Emaya’ fans alike, and I have a feeling the killer is right under Emily’s nose — or rather, attached to her face.

Yes, I’m officially pointing my speculative finger at Emily’s other woman, Paige McCullers (Lindsey Shaw.) Not only was it beyond suspicious that Paige should happen to resurface on the same night Maya’s body was discovered, but a source tells me Lindsey will very much be a part of the show’s upcoming third season “because her storyline is hot.”

Of course, there is a slight possibility that Maya isn’t dead after all. Emily’s mom (Nia Peeples) merely said the police think the body belongs to Maya. We won’t know for sure until Pretty Little Liars returns with all-new episodes June 5.

I’ve got some good news and some bad news for fans of Emily (Shay Mitchell) and Maya (Bianca Lawson) on Pretty Little Liars. For starters, “there will be some hurdles” coming up for Rosewood’s lesbian power couple, and they will be a whole lot worse than the mystery man Maya hooked up with while she was out of town. “There are other things, independent of that situation, that will come in and create tension,” Bianca hints to HollywoodLife.com. “That’s not going to be their biggest hurdle.”

And now for the good news: Bianca assures me that the aforementioned hurdles actually “strengthen and deepen their relationship. It’s like a lot of relationships: It grows and sprouts and is amazing, but nothing can stay the same forever. There will be challenges.”

So could one of those “challenges” be a plucky little redhead named Paige (Lindsey Shaw)?

“In one of the episodes I shot, there was supposed to be a Maya/Paige confrontation,” Bianca reveals. “It was so deliciously written, and I was so excited to meet and work with Lindsey. But then something came up — I think it was just a scheduling conflict — and it never got to happen. So that had to be sort of rewritten and changed.”

Are you as bummed as I am? I was really hoping for a cat fight this season!

Are you fully aware of all the ‘Emaya’ fans out there?

“Yes! They’re amazing. They’re super enthusiastic and supportive and I love them.”

Do you know about their slogan, ‘I perve for Emaya?’

[Laughs.] “I love it! No, I’ve never heard that before. That’s awesome. Hilarious.”

They’re pretty vocal on Twitter. Any chance you’ll be joining yourself?

“This comes up a lot, actually. People always ask me. My own dad has Twitter! I never say never, for sure, but I honestly think I’m incredibly boring. It feels like a really big commitment, and I’ve also seen several people get in trouble on there. I’d take it seriously, it wouldn’t be a haphazard thing. I’ve always sort of kept my head down and did my thing — but maybe one day.”

What do you love about getting to play one-half of Emaya?

“I think it’s handled so beautifully and so sensitively. It’s so great getting to portray a very deep, visceral love like that. I mean, I’d like a love like that! And love playing Maya. She’s impulsive, she’s fearless, she loves deeply, and she fully jumps in head-first into everything. There’s a freedom, and even kind of a recklessness, to her as she’s evolving. As the series goes on, we’re peeling beneath the layers, especially now that she’s back from the ‘camp.’ A lot of times with the sexuality thing on TV, it could be portrayed in a way that’s more for shock and ratings and to be salacious — but this is a real love story, with all of the imperfections and all of the joy and all of the pain and all of the mistakes. It’s very real. They’re teenagers; they’re still figuring out who they are and what their place is in the world — not to mention all of the ‘A’ drama.”

Emily recently admitted to hooking up with a guy while she was away. Will that be a source of tension?

“With him, I think Emily had her explorations when Maya was away, too. Another thing I love about [Emily and Maya] is that this didn’t destroy them. Maya came back, Emily fessed up, then Maya fessed up. I think it’s one thing to be an adult and decide to go away for a while, but Maya was a young adult who was forced to go to this place. She explained she was lonely and isolated. Sometimes, if you can’t be with the one you love, you start to project those feelings onto someone else who’s there with you. Maya was just straight with her about that, and Emily handled it very maturely.”

But their relationship will definitely see some ups and downs this season?

“Peaks and valleys, yes. We definitely break some ground and get to a new level. We reach a new place we’ve never reached before, so it definitely grows in that sense. The relationship expands.”

Any last thoughts on ‘Emaya’ and all the fans?

“I’m so grateful for all of their support and enthusiasm and kindness about Maya and Emaya and that whole love story. I am aware of it, even though I’m not on Twitter. I appreciate it.”
