When Natalie Portman, 30, traipsed up on stage to present the Best Actor category on Sunday night’s Oscars, we couldn’t help but notice she had an extra band on her ring finger to complement her big engagement sparkly.

Last year was an incredibly eventful year for Nat, who not only snagged the Best Actress Oscar for her prima ballerina role in Black Swan, but also happened to be preggars and engaged to co-star/choreographer Benjamin Millipied, 34.

But now, aside from experiencing being a new mom to seven-month-old son Aleph, it appears that both she and her French hubby are sporting new unspoken-for bands.

If they indeed tied the knot in some secret ceremony, Brangelina better take note on how they managed to pull that off.

Did Natalie Portman really perform a majority of the dances in Black Swan? Her body double says no while Darren Aronofsky strongly defends the actress!

Sarah Lane, Natalie Portman’s ballet double in Black Swan, is stirring up controversy by telling Entertainment Weekly she did 95% “of the full body shots” in the film. Meanwhile, Fox Searchlight, Natalie’s fiancé, and director Darren Aronofsky are shooting down her claims and saying Natalie was used for most of the movie. But I have a solution: release the behind-the-scenes footage!

A joint statement released by Fox Searchlight and the filmmakers states, “We were fortunate to have Sarah there to cover the more complicated dance sequences and we have nothing but praise for the hard work she did. However, Natalie herself did most of the dancing featured in the final film.”

But Sarah, who spoke out to the media in response to Black Swan choreographer (and Natalie’s fiancé) Benjamin Millipied saying “85% of that movie is Natalie”, tells a different story. “They wanted to create this idea in people’s minds that Natalie was some kind of prodigy […] to make herself a ballerina in a year and a half for the movie, basically because of the Oscar. It is demeaning to the profession […] I’ve been doing this for 22 years […]Can you become a concert pianist in a year and a half, even if you’re a movie star?”

So who is telling the truth? If Natalie didn’t perform most of the dances, that tarnishes her Oscar win since many votes were based on how amazing Natalie did not only in acting in the film, but in how successfully she turned into a ballerina. But why would Sarah Lane lie? She has way more to lose! Natalie Portman has the Oscar, and will be involved in many more films in her future but Sarah is risking being black-listed in Hollywood as a whistle blower (she says she was asked not to speak about her involvement in the film).

Darren Aronofsky added his explanation as well: “Here is the reality. I had my editor count shots. There are 139 dance shots in the film. 111 are Natalie Portman untouched. 28 are her dance double Sarah Lane. If you do the math that’s 80% Natalie Portman. […] And to be clear Natalie did dance on pointe in pointe shoes. If you look at the final shot of the opening prologue, which lasts 85 seconds, and was danced completely by Natalie, she exits the scene on pointe. That is completely her without any digital magic. I am responding to this to put this to rest and to defend my actor. Natalie sweated long and hard to deliver a great physical and emotional performance. And I don’t want anyone to think that’s not her they are watching. It is.”

So what is the best way to prove either way what people did or didn’t do? Show us the behind-the-scenes footage! In an age of DVD extras and constant interest in knowing how a movie is made, everything is usually filmed. There is no way that rehearsal footage and practice wasn’t filmed. So whether the filmmakers have to put the footage on the DVD, on YouTube or even on an evening news program, its time to release the truth. It’s really as simple as that.

Natalie has already admitted to EW that she used a body double for key sequences, “I do have a double for the complicated turning stuff, It was not anything I ever could have done in a year, nothing I could’ve caught up with. But I think it was just better for all of us if I did as much as possible.”

So HollywoodLifers, the proof is in the pudding, and the pudding just happens to be filmed. So show us the goods and don’t let the controversy take over what really is a wonderful film.

There were so many beautiful looks at the Feb. 27 Oscars, it’s hard to make a list of the best! We’ve combed through all the hairstyles and makeup and come up with our favorites– and we want to know what YOU think!

• Natalie Portman: Maybe it’s her pregnancy, or it could be her big nomination, but for whatever reason the Best Actress winner, 29, looks especially radiant! We love her simple makeup, which emphasizes the beautiful color of her dress. Her hair is so flattering, too, in side-swept curls that have a loose, bohemian feel.
• Mila Kunis: Natalie’s Black Swan costar, 27, takes her signature smoldering, smokey-eye look and gives it a bit of a gentler feel (maybe to go with her soft lavender dress?). The Grecian-inspired updo is really our favorite part of Mila’s look. It’s so different from what we’ve seen her wear, and so unique. She looks more elegant than ever!
• Jennifer Lawrence: The Winter’s Bone actress, 20, may have lost out to Natalie for Best Supporting Actress, but she still shines in the beauty department! She looks so elegant and youthful at the same time, with long, flowing hair in gorgeous, soft waves. She completes the look with polished, minimal makeup that keeps the focus on her glowing skin.
• Jennifer Hudson: Jennifer, 29, who presented at the awards, looks so good after her 80-pound weight loss! This look is all about the hair: a sculpted updo with gorgeous auburn highlights that really pop next to her dress’s bright color. Her eyes are precisely lined and the total effect is so flattering!
• Hailee Steinfeld: The True Grit star, 14, who was nominated for Best Supporting Actress but lost to Melissa Leo, really gets it right with an age-appropriate hairstyle that is topped off with a lovely thin metallic headband. We love that her makeup look is so minimal, really just some blush, mascara, and very subtle gloss!

Her soft, flowing locks! Those lips! Those cheeks! Those eyes! Here’s how 2011′s Best Actress got her flawless look on the big night she took home her first Oscar!

Beautiful Natalie Portman, 29, expecting her first child, is is the face of Miss Dior Cherie. She’s engaged to hottie Benjamin Millipied, and she just snagged Hollywood’s most prestigious award for her performance in Black Swan! Life couldn’t get any better for Hollywood’s hottest young actress.

She was absolutely glowing last night at the Academy Awards show. Natalie is a natural beauty who floated through the night in her pregnancy glow. And here’s how you can get her look!

Makeup

Natalie’s Dior artist Eileen Kastner-Delago says she wanted to make her look blend smoothly with her Rodarte gown:  “I was inspired by her dress so I went with more purple tones.”

1) Eileen began by priming her skin with Diorskin Nude Natural Glow Foundation. She touched up any imperfections with Diorskin Nude Hydrating Concealer.

2) For Natalie’s eyes, Eileen mixed different shades of shadow — gold, purple, and pink — to achieve that her sultry look (Dior 1-Colour Eyeshadow in #546 Gold Touch, Dior 2-Colour Eyeshadow in Purple Look #885, Dior 5-Colour Eyeshadow in Extase Pinks #804). Two different mascaras thickened and lengthened her lashes, Diorshow Waterproof Mascara — anticipating a win and any potential tears of joy — and Diorshow Iconic Mascara in Navy Blue for a hint of reflective color.

3) Her cheeks were done with DiorBlush in Peechy Keen to give her a rosy tint.

4) Her lips were perfect, in a combination of Dior Addict Lipstick in Infamous Pink — with just a touch of Dior Addict Ultra-Gloss in Apricot Cloche for extra shine!

Hair

Now, about that perfect ‘do! Frederic Fekkai’s Didier Malige, who styled Natalie, gave us all the details on how to get her glamorous bohemian style, that really romantic and feminine look!

1) Apply an anti-frizz product and volumizer before blow-drying the hair smooth using a round brush.
2) Then curl the hair using a 1” curling iron to create soft and feminine waves.
3) Next, create a foundation for the style by backcombing the bottom layers.
4) Sweep the hair to the left side of her face, securing with bobby pins.
5) For a finishing touch, Didier used one of Natalie’s earrings as a shimmery accent piece.
6) Secure the look with a sheer hairspray.
