I reported yesterday morning that Jennifer Lopez was just announced the Global Brand Ambassador for Gillette Venus. Well, that afternoon she made a dazzling formal announcement and I was there to catch the whole thing on video! Watch the clip!

After standing out in the freezing temperatures for almost an hour to get in (which is not remotely fun in 21 degree temperatures), a few select editors were seated in NYC’s famed Radio City Music Hall, where eventually La Lopez descended the stairs and made her new spokesperson position officially known to the world. You can hear the paparazzi calling behind me. It’s a good insight to what the red carpet is like!

I have to say that I agree with this brand ambassador appointment. The woman does have amazing legs and – I mean this sincerely – is one of the most beautiful women I’ve ever seen in person. All those photographs we post is one thing, but this video and the pictures in this post aren’t retouched in any way – this woman is flawless as is. Bravo, JLo!

One of the world’s biggest pop sensations partnered with a top-selling razor? Sounds like a match made in heaven to me.

The leggy La Lopez has been named the first-ever global brand ambassador for the ever-popular razor. As part of her new position as Global Brand Ambassador, she’s recorded her own version of the classic song “Venus.” The formal announcement will be made today at NYC’s famous Radio City Music Hall.

Jennifer takes her new position as a Global Ambassador very seriously and wants every woman to share their own goddess moment whether she’s a mother, sister, friend, career woman, community advocate, or does it all. For every woman who visits GilletteVenus.com and shares their story, money will go to the newly-launched Venus Goddess Fund for Education, which supports female empowerment through education and benefitting organizations like CARE International, the Step Up Women’s Network and Lopez’s own Maribel Foundation.

What’s up with all the shots of Brit Brit with her hair looking a mess?

Perusing the photos that came in across the wire, we’ve got YET ANOTHER photo of Britney Spears walking around Los Angeles with her extensions showing. What is HAPPENING here, people? I’ve got a little theory. Read on, beauty fans.

I’ve thought long and hard about putting this in a post, but here it goes: I think Britney likes these photos of her hair looking like this. Because, you know, she’s Britney Spears: sex symbol since she was a teenager and someone to whom the world pays a lot of attention. I personally believe it’s just her way of thumbing her nose at the world and showing everyone that she’s just like everyone else, that she’s allowed to look like crap like everyone else who goes to the gym or run errands in her sweats. I recognize this theory isn’t groundbreaking, yet I don’t think anyone’s really put it out there so, you know, there it is.

I just wish it was some other way to make the point because this picture is pretty bad. Crappy sweatpants are one thing but looking at the underside of extensions is kind of gross.  A banana clip would be less offensive and make the point, Britney. Thanks.
