• Face – Apply Pure Finish Mineral Tinted Moisturizer SPF 15 in Light to moisturize the skin and add just a touch of glow.

One of the best tricks in makeup is learning how to look young and fresh. Well, while backstage at Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week, I had the chance to ask one of the best in the industry her can’t-miss tip to look forever young: legendary celebrity makeup artist Sandy Linter. Sandy has been working in the beauty industry for decades and is currently the Global Ambassador for Lancôme cosmetics, a favorite of makeup mavens young and old, from Lea Michele (her makeup artist uses it on the star all the time) to seemingly ageless company spokeswoman Julia Roberts. What happened to her eyelashes?!? Here’s how to make sure this doesn’t happen to you!

Kourtney Kardashian was spotted at her book signing in Santa Monica, looking rather pretty (nice updo, glowing skin, lovely lip color) except one thing: her crazy long, clumpy mascara! Her eyelashes look crazy! Want to make sure this makeup disaster never happens to you? Read on!

Here’s what I think went wrong:

False lashes – Using false lashes is a great way to add volume to your look and single lashes, when applied properly, can really look beautiful. Be sure to use them somewhat sparingly and make sure that the length of the lashes don’t extend so far from your own lashes that they look abnormal. If your lashes are short, use a strip so they’re all one length.

Old mascara – First of all, you should be replacing your mascara every three months at a minimum. Smell the wand. If it smells like gasoline, it’s got all sorts of bacteria in there (ew!) which means it’s time to get rid of it.  Also, clumps aren’t normal and it means the formula is starting to dry and break down. Throw it away and get a new mascara.

Get rid of clumps – You can purchase extra mascara wands for almost nothing at a beauty supply store. Use a clean one to lift and separate your mascara.

Spidery bottom lashes - Your bottom lashes should NOT be as thick and long as your top lashes, nor should they have that much mascara. It looks crazy! As I said in the Monday Makeup Minute, the new Clinique Bottom Lash Mascara has a smaller wand that will allow you to control the amount and placement of mascara on your bottom lashes.

What products were used to create the actress’ amazing red carpet look? Read on, beauty fans!

How amazing did Olivia Wilde look last night? That Marchesa dress, the fabulous new haircut, her makeup! How do you get the look? Read on for dish on her gorgeous style straight from the experts that created it, beauty fans!

Olivia’s makeup look was created by celebrity makeup artist Spencer Barnes, who says that her look was “ inspired by images she collected of what she refers to as ‘the French girl.’  I wanted her skin to be fresh and clean with eyes that extended outward.  Touches of rose gold and sheer pink-veiled lips completed her youthful coquette-ish look.” He used all NARS Cosmetics products to create her look are below in the Get The Look gallery.

Meanwhile, her gorgeous hairstyle by celebrity hairstylist Terry Millet, using a haircare industry favorite: Kérastase. Also inspired by the chic French vibe, he created the look this way:

1. Begin by applying Kérastase Volumactive Mousse & Care Kérastase Volumactive to wet hair prior to blowdrying to give texture and volume
2. From there, blow dry your hair with your hands, only using a round brush at the ends once your hair is almost dry for a clean, healthy, just-washed look
3. Once your hair is dry, finish the look with Kérastase Oléo-Relax Serum on the ends and spray Kérastase Double Force Hair Spray to hold the style through the night.

Watch a celebrity color expert demonstrate how to correct the wrong hair color on our reporter Chloe Melas!

It happens to the best of us. You’re sitting in the salon chair and you get the feeling something’s a little off. Suddenly, you look up and your hair color is….well, totally WRONG! It’s happened to the best of us, but how do you fix it? Click to watch a celebrity color expert show you how to turn the wrong hair color into the right one!

Jason Backe is THE man to call for such issues. As the Celebrity Colorist for L’Oreal Professional and the Master Colorist at Ted Gibson Salon, he was the only person I wanted to correct Chloe’s wild hair color disaster.  Chloe had a little bit of an issue with hair color where the ends came out darker than the roots and it came out really brassy. Jason consulted with her to see what color she REALLY wanted and got to work, using one of my own personal favorites, L’Oreal INOA Hair Color.

What started out as a weird brassy/dark ends situation ended with a rich brown hue with almost imperceptible flaxen gold highlights. Chloe’s hair looks AMAZING, folks.

How do YOU correct your hair color if something goes wrong? Jason gives his top three tips:

1. Go in armed with photos – you really have to explain in detail what you want, so bring in tons of photos: when you think your hair looked best, when you think your hair looked worst, celebrities whose hair you admire, etc. These are a great starting point to get exactly what you want.
2. Stay with your colorist - It’s like any other relationship: if you “cheat” you might wind up with less than desirable results. Find someone you love and stay with them.
3. Realize it’s a process – Finding the perfect hair color might take a couple of visits, but you should leave satisfied. Just know that working with the right person (and staying with them) will always achieve optimum results.

Everyone was raving about Kristen Stewart’s gorgeous dress that she was sporting at the People’s Choice Awards but there’s something else that looked amazing – her hairstyle! If you want to steal the Twilight star’s gorgeous hair, I’ve got the scoop straight from her hairstylist. Read on, K-Stew beauty mavens!

The actress went to one of Hollywood’s best, Frederic Fekkai’s Adir Abergel. Here’s how to get the look:

Start by working Frederic Fekkai Advanced Full Blown Volume Styling Whip throughout the hair.

Blow your hair dry using your fingers instead of a brush until it’s almost dry, then finish blowing your hair out with a round brush so it’s smooth and soft.

Curl your hair in 1″ sections using a 1 ¼ ” curling iron, working all the way around.

Combine Frederic Fekkai Coiff Ocèanique Tousled Wave Spray with Frederic Fekkai Advanced Brilliant Glossing Cream in your hands and work them through the curls for a full,  sexy texture that will last all night.

Another personal favorite product of mine? Frederic Fekkai Sheer Hold Hairspray, which will give you amazing hold without looking stiff and feeling sticky.
