We’ve been obsessed with Selena Gomez‘s dog Baylor ever since she first tweeted a picture of him to her fans, but we learned something we never knew about the puppy when Selena sat down for an interview with Kiss FM. “It wasn’t meant to be for me,” Selena confessed. “I was going to give it to my nana as a gift, but I ended up falling in love with him, so I had to keep him.”

Now that she’s fallen in love with him, Selena says she can’t stand to be away from Baylor.

“I miss him,” she said. “I wish he could come with us everywhere. But he’s growing every week, so he’s at home with my mama. … He’s been my sweetheart, my cuddle bunny.”

And not only is Baylor doing well after his surgery — he was recently hospitalized for eating rocks — but he’s also learning some new tricks!

“We taught him how to sit and give paw,” Selena said. “We got him when he was a puppy, so he was very easy to teach. But the rest was my stepdad — he’s so good with dogs.”

Selena Gomez has been through a lot with her new adopted Husky puppy, Baylor. After adopting him in Canada with her boyfriend, Justin Bieber, Selena had to rush to his side when he swallowed a rock and had to get surgery. However, he looks healthy now!

“Look at how big my baby has gotten :),” Selena, 19, wrote next to her photo on Instagram.

Baylor is going to be a big dog! He’s already dwarfing Selena and he’s not even fully grown. Side note: we’d love to see pics of Selena’s other five rescue dogs too.

On Nov. 17, Selena Gomez, looking stunning in Alice + Olivia, dished to Ellen Degeneres about her two favorite boys–her boyfriend Justin Bieber and her puppy Baylor!

When Ellen suggested that Selena tell Justin to pull his pants up (after seeing several pictures of the pop singer with his jeans hanging a little too low), Selena replied, “I really can’t.  I’ve told him!  I don’t get it!  He laughs!”

That might not be her favorite thing about Justin, but she did reveal what is.  ”His eyes,” she said coyly.  How cute!

When she isn’t with Justin, she has another love in her life–her new puppy Baylor!  She even brought him out onto the set after she performed her hit song, Love You Like A Love Song! And it looks like he isn’t having any trouble adjusting to life in the spotlight!  Selena said he sits by her all day while she does interviews and photo shoots.

“I did a photo shoot the other day and he was just walking along posing,” she said.  Watch out Selena, Baylor Gomez could be the next big star!

Justin Bieber may have taken home a Bambi Award in Germany yesterday, but Selena Gomez has her own Bambi to take care of right now– her new puppy, Baylor.

“My baby is sick :( praying for his surgery,” the 19-year-old performer wrote Nov. 11 next to this photo on Instagram.

As HollywoodLife.com first told you, Selena rescued Baylor — a husky mix — with Justin’s help while the couple was in Canada last month.

Even though he was with her when she picked him out, Justin Bieber doesn’t seem thrilled with Selena Gomez’s new rescue puppy, Baylor! Watch this video!

As HollywoodLife.com first told you, Justin Bieber spent more than an hour with girlfriend Selena Gomez as she debated on which puppy to rescue from the center in Winnipeg last week; however, the 17-year-old pop star told Billy Bush he hasn’t really bonded with Baylor yet.

In fact, Selena, 19, roped Justin into going by saying they were just going to look at the puppies. “She saw this dog and fell in love with it. She was like, ‘I need to have it!’ We just went to the shelter to um…look around,” Justin said. “Turns out she brought one home.”

He explained, “It was kind of like she…she saw the dog and it kept going to her so…I don’t think the dog really likes me too much…”

Justin, clearly baffled by the whole dog situation, brushed off anymore questions, saying, “I think she is on tour with her right now. I’m not really sure with the whole story with the dog.”

Aww, poor Baylor! We know Justin’s favorite animals are dogs, so we’re a little surprised by his less than enthusiastic reaction to Selena’s new puppy. Do YOU think they’ll warm up to each other?
