Basketball Wives star Tami Roman recently told HollywoodLife.com she’s in counseling to get a handle on some issues she’s “kept locked away.” But she was just hospitalized for a heart attack — so is Tami okay?

Tami was admitted to Cedars-Sinai Medical Center on March 26 and released the next day, Entertainment Weekly reports. Shortly after, the Basketball Wife tweeted, “Thx 2every1 for the get well wishes. Never thought I’d have a mild heart attack at 41.”

Neither did we! But stress can lead to health problems, so hopefully she can stay above the drama and stay healthy.

Tami Roman is not afraid to tell you like it is! The ex-wife of former NBA star Kenny Anderson came into our HollywoodLife.com offices to break down the brand new fourth season of VH1′s Basketball Wives and gave us juicy tidbits about herself and the cast that left us shocked!

Last season Tami had some issues with Jennifer Williams and Evelyn Lozada, but it turns out it’s all water under the bridge!

“If I have a problem with you, I’m going to come directly to you and I expect the same from people,” Tami tells us. “And when they don’t do that, that’s when it goes left…Jen and I are cool, as far as I know…if ya’ll know something, tweet me! Evelyn and I are cool, surprisingly enough! I can’t say the same for Evelyn and Jen, though.”

But Tami tells HollywoodLife.com that she wants to find a way to express herself without getting all caught up in the drama.

“People are going to find out how I’m dealing with my anger management issues,” she says about the fourth season. “I’m going through counseling and dealing with some things with my mother and some issues that I kind of keep locked away. I’m exposing some secrets!”

The first episode of season four aired Feb. 20, and it was jaw-dropping! But Tami promises fans that there’s no way the show is fake.

“Our show is definitely not scripted,” she laughs. “You couldn’t write this stuff if you tried. These are real people, real lives, real situations, real drama that we’re going through. I pride myself on being as transparent as I can be. There’s no purpose to be on the show if I’m not going to show people my life and have them learn from it or me watch myself and learn from it.”

VH1 announced in a press release that their hit series Basketball Wives will be returning with an all-new season four on Feb. 20. Plus, two new cast members will be joining the cast this season.

The new girls — Kenya Bell and Kesha Nichols — will make a total of eight cast members including the crew from last season (Evelyn Lozada, Royce Reed, Shaunie O’Neal, Tami Roman, Jennifer Williams, Suzie Ketcham).

This season expect to see:

• Shaunie tries to become a full-pledged business woman.
• Evelyn and Jennifer face a major obstacle in their friendship of 12 years.
• Tami is still the drama-queen.
• Royce and Suzie attempt to start new life journeys.

Jennifer Williams isn’t playing well with the other Basketball Wives stars and got into a fight with Evelyn Lozada‘s assistant, Nia Crooks, when they were shooting the show in Hallandale, Florida Jan. 21, reports TMZ.

Apparently, the women were thinking Jennifer was “too big for her britches” and Nia told her as much. “The two got face-to-face and Nia pushed Williams in the face to get her away. In the police report, Williams described it as being ‘intentional struck by Crooks with an open hand to the left side of her face,’” the story says.

The girls were stopped from coming to blows by police security from the production company.

Whatever happened, we can’t wait to see it on an upcoming episode!

VH1 is looking to add a new star to their hit series Basketball Wives — and sources reveal that the network is heavily courting LA Lakers’ player Kobe Bryant‘s soon-to-be ex-wife Vanessa Bryant.

Sources tell TMZ that VH1 is working on “an extremely lucrative pitch for Vanessa” to sign Vanessa to the LA cast as a permanent, leading star.

“Vanessa has more than enough storyline and would bring the show to another level,” one source explains.

According to the insiders, VH1 didn’t want to approach Vanessa while she was married to Kobe — but now that they are getting divorce, the ball has switched courts. Plus, now the network has more money to offer to her.

VH1 tells HollywoodLife.com that “production has not reached out to Vanessa at this time.”

Wow! Where do I begin? This season of Basketball Wives LA was a blast, literally! It resembled the fourth of July with all the fire works beginning with crazy Laura and Malysia‘s fist fight they had at the beginning of the season. Imani called Draya worthless by accident, and of course, the incident I had with Tanya. I’m often asked by fans of the show, “Was it all real?” I always answer with a huge YES! At least for me it was, and I want to believe for the other ladies as well. One thing is for sure, it is a time in my life I will try my best to erase from my memory bank asap as I can not deal with blatant fabrications of the truth by any means. So forgetting about it is bliss for me as I do have a forgiving heart.

Never being one to back down from a challenge, well heck the reunion was a whole different story. I still have yet to watch it, but from what little parts I did catch on tv and heard from my friends and family, I held my own and that’s all a girl can ask for when entering hostile territory  – or the tigers’ den, so to speak — with just my stilettos and a big ring as a weapon.

But my knight in shinning armor, my hubby Doug, did come to my side at one point and I do recall feeling loved and free when he arrived. It was like nothing else mattered and I didn’t care anymore that I was being attacked by the tigers for just being real and trying to get everyone to be honest and talk things out. I wasn’t in the mood to let them get under my skin. But I knew Doug and I had beautiful plans after and the whole childish mess would be left there on that stage. I was relaxed.

I often told each of them that knowledge is power and throughout the reunion I felt great. I smiled quite a bit because the truth feels good. At least for me it does, and I knew inside that I was being 100 percent honest, and held no grudges against those ladies. Even though I knew they would launch verbal attacks and assaults, I still understood and knew that they were only acting the way they thought they should act. It doesn’t matter if the real truth about their part in the whole situation ever comes to light. I know in my heart that they know that I was the real one from day one. I relished the opportunity to say that to each of them without ever having to lift a finger.

I really only wish the best for all those women and pray their hearts are light, because mine most certainly is.

Basketball Wives has welcomed two new cast members to their VH1 family, according to TMZ. Kenya Bell and Kesha Nichols will be the fresh faces of the all-new season four.

Sources tell TMZ that Kenya has already fallen into the villain role by fighting with some of the original cast mates. She’s a former pageant queen — Miss Michigan — and has a controversial history. She alleged attacked her husband Charlie Bell and tried to slice him with a box cutter.

As HollywoodLife.com previously told you, we spotted Kenya getting buddy-buddy with Jennifer Williams and Suzie Ketcham at Jennifer’s Lucid Lipgloss launch party in NYC on Nov. 15. Cameras were there filming the shindig.

Kesha’s story is that she was engaged to Richard Jefferson in 2009, but the night before their wedding — he dumped her by email — reports TMZ.

Sources say that Kesha is open about her heartbreak, and that she gets along with the rest of the cast.

Jennifer Williams exclusively told HollywoodLife.com how she plans to spend the holidays. “My plans for Thanksgiving are to spend some quality time with my family since we have a few days off from filming season 4.”

Jennifer is taking the opportunity this holiday weekend to finally relax! “My schedule has been so crazy lately with filming and growing Lucid, I am looking forward to catching up with my closest family and friends,” Jennifer said.

HollywoodLife.com also learned what Jennifer’s go-to recipe is — and it’s probably not what you would expect! Jennifer admitted, “I haven’t been eating meat lately so I would say my best recipe is actually Patti LaBelle’s macaroni and cheese! It is delicious! I have made it a few times in the past.”

After eating all that turkey and macaroni and cheese, Jennifer is just as concerned as we are about staying fit. Jennifer’s advice for staying in shape after Thanksgiving is to,”indulge but do it in moderation and make sure you hit the gym Friday AM and do an extra 30 minutes of cardio to help burn off that sweet potato pie!”
