Linda Ackley, 44, rushed herself to the hospital on Feb. 8 with severe stomach pains, but ended up delivering a baby girl 15 hours later! Unsuspecting of her pregnancy until the day of delivery, Linda had an emergency C-section, and her baby girl Kimberly Kay Ackley was born at 11:20 p.m.

“Some people have nine months to prepare, I had hours,” her husband, Mike Ackley told Michigan Live.

In 2011, Linda had abdominal surgery and thought she couldn’t have children, according to the Daily Mail. “She is our miracle baby,” the first-time mother says about new daughter Kimberly.

Linda Ackley Discovers She’s Pregnant

Linda went to the doctor on Feb. 8 because of bloating in her abdomen, and she thought she had a hernia. The doctor sent her to Michigan’s Allegiance Health facility for a CT scan, which disclosed that she had carried a baby full term, nearly 40 weeks.

“I wish someone would have taken a picture of my face,” her husband Mike said when he found out the good news. He added that referring to the pregnancy as surprising “doesn’t even come close.” They started dating in high school when Linda was a sophomore and her husband a junior.

Linda Survives Dangerous Stomach Infection

In February 2011, she contracted necrotizing gascilitis, a bacterial infection that attacked some of her soft tissue and left her in a coma for a week on a ventilator. Because of the infection, some of her stomach muscles were removed — and doctors did not think she would survive.

The Michigan woman explained that for nine months, she had confused her baby’s kicks and turns for twitching nerves, and expanding and contracting muscles caused by her stomach surgery.

‘They always wanted children,” Rosie Konopka, 48, Linda’s sister, said.

While their apartment is not prepared for a baby, the couple has received tons of donations and gifts from family members and others. The ecstatic couple is excited to welcome home their new bundle of joy!

It took four operations to separate the 11-month-old infants. They were only given a one-in-10 million chance of surviving!

Doctors are celebrating after separating conjoined twins whose heads were fused together. Ritag and Rital Gaboura shared arteries and nerves making the surgery one of the most complex ever undertaken. The babies underwent four operations over four months before surgeons finally separated them! What a miracle!

With no facilities to treat the girls in their native Sudan and no money to pay for surgery abroad, the twins’ parents reached out to British charity Facing The World — who paid for the family to fly to London, where surgeons at the Great Ormond Street Hospital for Children started the painstaking separation process.

The survival rate for twins with Rital and Ritag‘s condition is just one-in-10 million. Their bodies were so intertwined, Ritag’s heart actually provided most of the blood for both twins’ bodies.

That meant any drop in blood pressure could leave both girls with brain damage.

Despite the obstacles in their paths, the specialists treating the twins never gave up hope they could be separated.

The final operation took place in August, and the girls are showing no adverse side effects — prompting the doctors to proclaim it the most successful surgery of its kind ever to be carried out.

Rital and Ritag’s parents are now looking forward to taking their daughters home!

A spokesperson for the couple tells the Mail on Sunday newpspaper, “We are very thankful to be able to look forward to going home with two separate, healthy girls. We are very grateful to all the doctors who volunteered their time and to Facing the World for organizsing all the logistics and for paying for the surgery”

An Alabama-based drug company has recalled 1.4 million packs of contraceptive pills that are sold all across the U.S., after discovering a mistake that could encourage users to take the drug at the wrong time! Is there going to be an accidental baby epidemic?

Bosses at Qualitest Pharmaceuticals insist the faulty packets aren’t a health risk to patients — but many were found to be printed with an incorrect regimen. That means they’re not protecting against pregnancy!

A spokesperson for Qualitest explains the problem: “Select blisters (found inside the pill box) were rotated 180 degrees within the card, reversing the weekly tablet orientation. As a result of this packaging error, the daily regimen for these oral contraceptives may be incorrect and could leave women without adequate contraception, and at risk for unwanted pregnancy.”

“The unintended consequence of pregnancy is really the issue. That’s why the company took a drastic action.”

The affected contraceptive drugs are Cyclafem 7/7/7, Cyclafem 1/35, Emoquette, Gildess FE 1.5/30, Gildess FE 1/20, Orsythia, Previfem and Tri-Previfem, reports CNN.com.

Drug stores are trying to contact those who may have purchased faulty packs of the drugs.

This is a terrifying story. Thousands of people sensibly use birth control because they aren’t in a position to be parents.

She’s glowing as she shows off her beautiful bump in new photos — and the actress admits it’s been an easy pregnancy so far!

In fact, soon-to-be mom-of-three Jennifer Garner forgets she’s pregnant at all, until she looks down and sees her bump… and remembers she can’t indulge in her favorite vice — a glass of wine at the end of the night!

“Luckily, I’m just at that window when you’re  – the magic second trimester – where you’re done being nauseous,” Jennifer, 39, tells the Winnipeg Free Press.

“Right now, I forget that it’s there except that I can’t have wine at the end of the night.”

Congratulations! Glenn Howerton and his wife Jill Latiano are now the proud, first-time parents of a baby boy, Miles Robert, born on Sept. 12. The Always Sunny In Philadelphia star, 35, revealed the happy news in a recent appearance on Conan!

“My wife and I thought it would be a good idea to wait to see the baby first before we actually decided what his name would be,” Glenn told Conan O’Brien.

“Then we saw him and he looked like a tiny little baby alien grandpa creature and I’m like, ‘I’m not getting any information from this — at all.’” But, they obviously decided on Miles! Too cute — Alyssa Milano chose a similar name for her little guy, Milo!

Turns out Ryan Gosling is a family man! The hunky heartthrob, who says he’s single, but is rumored to be dating his co-star Eva Mendes, wishes he was already settled down and making babies. The ‘Modern Family’ star got us all excited when she was snapped shopping for the mommy-to-be supplements at an LA drug store this week.

Just weeks after Sofia Vergara revealed her boyfriend Nick Loeb is begging her for kids, she was spotted stocking up on pre natal vitamins. Surely that means she’s pregnant. Right?

Wrong!

Sources tell E! News the 39-year-old actress ISN’T expecting — she buys the vitamins because the mixture of calcium and iron is great for her long lustrous hair!

Apparently it’s a common practice in her native Colombia.

We can’t say we’re not disappointed — but we haven’t compleltely given up hope this pair will have a beautiful baby before it’s too late.

Sofia, who has a 19-year-old son, Manolo, from a previous relationship, said recently, “When I had Manolo, I was 19, and I had the energy for everything. My boyfriend now wants to have kids, and I don’t even want to think about it. I would have to get into that mind-set again, the waking up early.”
