Portia de Rossi looked so different as she reprised her role as Lindsay Bluth-Fünke on the new season of Arrested Development, which started streaming on Netflix on May 26. Read expert opinions from top docs below on if she really had plastic surgery.

Portia De Rossi’s Plastic Surgery — Her New ‘Arrested Development’ Face

Dr. Edward P. Miranda, a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon who practices in San Francisco, Calif. tells HollywoodLife.com EXCLUSIVELY:

“It appears that Portia underwent nasal tip reconstruction. Her nose used to point downward, and you can clearly see it is now upturned. She also may have had blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) to make her eyes appear wider. Lastly, she definitely appears to have Botox injections (judging by her perfectly smooth forehead) and filler injections to the border of her upper lip.”

Dr. Theodore Diktaban, one of New York City’s top double Board-certified Plastic Surgeons & Otolaryngologists, reveals to us EXCLUSIVELY:

“The most obvious thing for sure, is that she had her nose done. There’s no doubt about it. The position of the tip has definitely changed. There is a possibility she had some facial fillers for more fullness. It’s hard to tell if she had Botox because I’m looking at a still picture. She also may have had something done to her lower eyelids.”

Dr. Paul Carniol, a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon in New Jersey, tells us EXCLUSIVELY:

“Portia appears to have had procedures between the photos. Starting from the top down, she appears to have had a coronal brow lift with elevation of her hairline, tightening of her forehead, and elevation of her brows. She looks to have had lower eyelid surgery (blepharoplasty) — a greater showing of the lower portion of her eyes makes them appear rounder and less almond shaped. Also, it looks like she’s had subtle nasal surgery with a narrowing of her nose (rhinoplasty). In her cheekbone region, probably a combination of cheek implants and fillers, and a small amount of filler in her lips.”

Dr. Jeffrey Spiegel, a Board Certified Facial Plastic Surgeon in Boston, Mass. agrees she looks quite different.

“I’m a big fan of Arrested Development and was certainly surprised to see how different Ms. De Rossi looked in the newest episodes. Most significantly, she’s had her nose operated on. Her nose used to distinctively point downwards, but now has a perky upturned tip.  Also, her hairline appears somewhat higher suggesting a brow lift. Her forehead was overly smooth and immobile suggesting poorly done Botox, for a while there were no wrinkles — a better injection technique could have left her with some normal motion. Also, she’s certainly had an injection into her upper lip, which is fuller, and into her cheeks. Finally, eyelid surgery is quite likely since she has a different shape to the lower eyelid now.

Upkeep is necessary for the Botox and fillers. Her nose is likely to stay this way, but she’ll require Botox to her forehead and fillers to her lips and cheeks to maintain the current appearance.”

Portia Speaks On The Shows Return

On the fourth season, Portia admitted to the Huffington Post that she never thought this day would come:

When we were canceled back in 2006, I would have never imagined that we would do this revival for Netflix or be a part of this kind of business model where they can release all episodes at the same time … But a part of me knew because the cast loved the show so much and loved working with each other and we just admire and respect Mitch [Hurwitz, creator] so much that I kind of figured that we would all get together again at some point to do something.

It’s been a long time since FOX closed its doors on Arrested Development, the cult comedy that has morphed into a cult classic since going off the air. Millions of loyal followers were ecstatic to hear that the show was coming back by dumping 15 episodes all at once on Netflix on May 26. It’s a binge TV watchers dream come true! But unless you’ve re-watched the first three seasons of Arrested recently, we’re sure there are a few odd, but hilarious plot points that may have slipped your mind. So keep reading to make sure you’re all caught up before you spend a whole day in your pajamas watching a TV show.

Michael & George Michael Flee To Cabo

The final season of Arrested Development ended with Michael (Jason Bateman) hijacking his brother’s yacht and sailing away from his godforsaken family along with his son, George Michael (Michael Cera). Not surprisingly, the escape didn’t go exactly to plan. Upon waking up the next morning, the father-son duo realized the patriarch of the Bluth family, George Sr. (Jeffrey Tambor) had stowed himself away on the boat. Will we get a Mexican side plot between three generations of Bluths? Because it’d be hilarious.

What’s Up With George Michael & Maeby?

The most romantic unrequited love connection on TV between two cousins. When we last saw them, George Michael and Maeby (Alia Shawkat) were getting to second base after assuming the Maeby was adopted. She isn’t. Is George Michael going to finally be able to shake his cousin-crush?

Gob’s Love Life

The magician in the family, Gob (Will Arnett), wasn’t really doing any better than his niece and nephew when the series ended. He was actually in a relationship with George Michael’s teenage, ultra-Christian ex-girlfriend. Gob usually finds conspicuous was into and out of situations, so we’re thrilled to see if and how he gets out of this creepy mess.

Tobias & Lindsay Are Still Married?

Tobias (David Cross) is a never-nude with questionable sexuality, Lindsay (Portia De Rossi) is a selfish sociopath who doesn’t really have any qualms about having extramarital relationships. And yes, they were still together when we last saw them. We don’t really care whether or not Tobias and Lindsay stay together, but if Tobias ever gets over his never-nude phobia, we won’t be able to forgive the show.

Maeby’s Making A Movie

Besides making out with her cousin, Maeby also got fired from her job as a movie executive when Tantamount Studios realized she was 16 years old. But she also found out there was a bidding war for the rights to her life story. After pitching her life to Ron Howard (who’s also the show’s narrator), he suggested that it might work better as a movie. We know, it’s just a meta joke, but some of our favorite scenes are Maeby’s conman-esque work in the film industry.

And Then There’s Buster

The last time we saw Buster (Tony Hale), he had literally fallen off a boat. While he managed to survive the fall from the Queen Mary ocean liner, he appeared to be in grave danger — fresh meat in the open water. And by that we mean the seal that bit off his hand was coming back for more, bearing down on the weird Bluth brother. It was probably the biggest cliffhanger ever.

Now that you’re all caught up, we don’t expect to hear from you for a couple days. It’s okay, everyone else is sitting at home watching Arrested Development too!

Portia De Rossi At ‘Arrested Development’ Premiere — Her Crazy Hair

Although I’m quite positive she did not use the same styling product — ick — her hair kinda reminds me of Cameron Diaz‘s clueless character in There’s Something About Mary.

Do you see it or is it just me? Her hair also reminds me of a punk rock style we might see on Pink or Miley Cyrus.

Despite her questionable hair, I thought she looked gorgeous. Her makeup was neutral and natural. Her skin glowed through her light foundation and her lashes were accentuated with black mascara. Her brows were groomed perfectly in place and she finished off the look with a very sheer pink lip gloss and a flush of color on her cheeks.

Her green eyes looked gorgeous against her tight black dress. The dress had a sexy snakeskin pattern and sultry cutouts on the sides and back.

She  also wore two Sethi Couture black diamond rings and a Le Vian ring.

Portia’s Happy To Be Back With The Cast

Portia told USA Today at the premiere that the reunion is “such a relief. It’s so exciting. I’ve been waiting for a long, long time.”

This is one story in which I actually think I haven’t used enough exclamation points: Arrested Development creator Mitch Hurwitz confirmed Oct. 2 that the show will be coming back to TV for an abbreviated season — there will be one episode focusing on where each member of the Bluth family is today — which will lead up to the series’ highly anticipated leap to the big screen.

The six-time Emmy Award-winning FOX sitcom — I’d call it a hit-com, but I hate that word — aired from Nov. 2003 to Feb. 2006, and was tragically canceled due to low ratings. Most of its popularity was generated post-cancelation, with TIME magazine even naming it one of “The 100 Best TV Shows of all-TIME.” (See what they did there? Clever, TIME magazine. Very clever.)

Unsurprisingly, the stars of the show share our excitement. Here’s what they tweeted:

Are you ready to see new mommy Christina back on network TV?

Motherhood won’t keep Christina Applegate off camera. It has been confirmed by Access Hollywood that the actress is set to appear in the new comedy series Up All Night, which co-stars new dad Will Arnett and mom-to-be Maya Rudolph! It’s a celebrity parent comedy masterpiece! 

“I don’t think I was ready at the time, but I will be ready,” Christina, 39, explains, referring to finally being ready to get back on a consistent film schedule after welcoming daughter Sadie in February.

Christina will play the role of Reagan, a public relations executive married to Chris, a stay at home husband, played by Will Arnett. Maya Rudolph of Saturday Night Live will play Ava, Reagan’s boss.

“Everybody has different reasons for being up all night,” former Arrested Development Will stated. Coincidentally, all three stars are new parents or expecting. Rudolph is pregnant with her third child and Arnett just welcomed his second son, Abel James, 9 months.

“It’s excellent… Amazing,” Christina raved about parenting. “We don’t have anybody with helping, which we will soon.”

This is Christina’s first network comedy gig since Samantha Who, which was cancelled in 2009. Up All Night will air on NBC during the 2011-2012 season.
