Pippa’s bronzed royal wedding tan made me think twice about my pasty winter look. I would never bake my skin in the harmful rays of the sun, so sunless tanner it was!

Pippa Middleton always looks so perfectly tanned — I just had to get the look myself! I tried many different sunless tanning lotions and even enlisted the help of my fellow HollywoodLife.com staffers to help me try out different brands! In the end, Arcona self tanner was the clear winner! Keep reading to hear about my sunless tanning journey that ended with success!

I started to hunt around to see what self tanners were out there that I had not already tried and doled out lotions and creams to HollywoodLife.com staffers! We all started applying. Some looked fabulous, but were tinted lotions that would wash off in the shower. I decided that I wanted something that would stick around a bit longer. Some didn’t show up at all. Some worked great for the face, but not as much for body. Orange skin, uneven streaks, and a lot of exfoliating followed.

Then, I found it. The sunless tanner of my dreams! The Arcona tanner went on smoothly, just like a light lotion and it immediately gave me a nice bronzed color. I applied it before I went to bed, and in the morning, I was lightly tanned without a single streak! I wasn’t orange and I wasn’t unnaturally dark.

I applied it every night for three nights straight and by the end of those nights I had reached my desired level of color. The process was easy and I am in love with the results!

The only drawback was that I had to throw away my white towel and buy a black one because the tanner did bleed a bit post-shower in morning after applying it the night before. Although the color came off onto my towel, it didn’t fade from my body so I the loss of my white towels was a small price to pay for the benefit of the color!
