Lindsay Lohan joined Charlie Sheen for an episode of his hit series, Anger Management. Due to their individual reputations, audiences anticipated a very controversial episode on April 11. However, while they made fun of their past slip-ups, the final product was slightly tamer than predicted.

Lindsay Lohan On ‘Anger Management’

In the episode, Lindsay plays herself and employs Charlie’s character as her anger management coach. There were references throughout the episode to drugs, court dates and theft, as most of us expected. The two even shared a few on-screen smooches! Charlie’s character is supposed to lead her in the right direction, but through a series of mishaps, Lindsay and Charlie wind up in bed together!

The two have a good time making fun of their wild pasts. For instance, in one scene, the pair get a little messy as they play around with powdered donuts. They end up getting accused of a “coke fueled sex romp” due to the powder seen around their noses.

Lindsay Shows Up Late To Set

Bringing Lindsay onto the show may have brought in some curious viewers, but shooting of the episode was not so easy. The troubled starlet showed up late to set, suffered from an illness, and there were even rumors of an alleged theft. Though Lindsay was being paid for the job, she didn’t appear to go the extra mile. She is also getting ready to begin her court ordered inpatient treatment.

Few people know the real Charlie Sheen, and even fewer people get to call him “dad.” As Charlie’s on-screen daughter on FX’s Anger Management, which is now well into its second season, 19-year-old Daniela Bobadilla gets to do both — and she’s loving every minute of it. “He’s multi-sided,” she tells HollywoodLife.com about her comedy mentor. “He’s like a Rubik’s cube. He literally blows my mind every single day.”

Daniela says she learns something new every day, both by talking to Charlie — “He has all these evolution theories, and he talks in a stream of consciousness that’s somehow the most intelligent babble ever,” she says — or sometimes just by watching him do his thing.

“One of my biggest mottos is: ‘Always surround yourself with people who are better than you,’” Daniela says. “If anything, I’ve missed my cues because I’ve been watching [and studying] people.”

But enough about Charlie; Daniela’s getting to put all that practice to good use now that her character, Sam, is growing into a feisty young woman.

“My character’s getting snarky,” she admits. “I have to say mean stuff to [Charlie and Selma Blair, who plays my mom] and I feel so bad. After they yell cut, I’m like, ‘I’m sorry! I’d never say that to you.’”

And the best is yet to come! The March 14 episode finds Sam in the middle of a holy war between Charlie and Martin (his real-life father, Martin Sheen), as Martin has Sam baptized behind Charlie’s heathen back.

“Sam begins to have some life questions, and Martin is ready to step in,” Daniela explains. “Plus, you get to see Charlie Sheen in a church, which I think is incentive enough to watch.”

We couldn’t agree more!

Things get awkward on the July 12 episode of FX’s Anger Management when Charlie (Charlie Sheen) worries his daughter Sam (Daniela Bobadilla) is becoming promiscuous — and Sam’s friend Olivia (Katlin Mastandrea) is caught in the middle!

“She thinks she knows more than she does about this particular topic,” Katlin tells HollywoodLife.com of Olivia’s uncomfortable experience with the Goodson family. “Sometimes Sam has to whack Olivia on the head because she doesn’t know what she’s talking about.” 

Fortunately, Katlin is a lot smarter than her on-screen persona. She tells us she’s learning a lot working Charlie, who she describes as “fun,” but also “very professional.” She says things always get done “very quickly” when he’s on set because he has so much experience with multi-camera sitcoms.

And Katlin also makes good use of her downtime, always keeping a Nintendo DS or PSP handy. (A girl after our own heart!)

You probably also recognize Katlin from playing Ashley on ABC’s The Middle, which she hopes to return to next season.

Charlie Sheen may be unpredictable in his personal life, but there’s one we can always count on Charlie for: Big ratings! The June 28 series premiere of Anger Management nabbed 5.47 million viewers in its first half-hour, and 5.74 in its second, according to Nielsen ratings.

Charlie Sheen is returning to television!

Charlie, 46, is set to star in the television version of the 2003 movie Anger Management, the Los Angeles Times reports. FX will air the series — appropriately titled Anger Management — for at least 10 episodes this summer.

It will be the first show Charlie has starred in since he was replaced by Ashton Kutcher on Two And A Half Men.

When word spread like wildfire that Chris Brown had freaked out after his on-air interview with Good Morning America’s Robin Roberts, the chorus of voices condemning him — including some here in our Hollywoodlife.com office — couldn’t have been louder.

“He’ll never change,” ‘he’s a jerk,” “he’s a thug,” “he’s just a brute” were a few of the more damning comments I heard.

I’m as letdown as anyone that after a year of court-mandated domestic-violence counseling and six months of community service, Chris exploded after he was questioned by Robin about the Rihanna assault. But as I watched him apologize on the BET show 106 and Park on March 23, a day after freaking out, I felt that he truly was ashamed that he lost control again.

When he said that he was “disappointed in my actions,” I took him at his word. But what do experts who treat people like Chris with anger-management issues, say? Would they say that Chris is irredeemable?

“There’s no question that he overreacted to the interview and didn’t handle the situation well. It’s a red flag for Chris that he needs to do more work. He needs to add psychotherapy to deal with the deeper issues that are causing his anger,” says psychologist Dr. Jeff Gardere, a contributor to healthguru.com. ”But I know he was disappointed in his  actions. When people like him calm down, they become very guilty, embarrassed and disappointed in themselves because they know they lost control and did things that were very inappropriate.”

But Dr. Gardere also thinks it  was unfair of Robin to push on the Rihanna subject: “I really believe Robin should have been a little more kind. He’s 21, he’s got anger issues, he’s a little immature. He came on to promote his new album. She didn’t need to push him quite so hard.”

Dr. Gardere also believes that the stress of being a public figure, carrying around the stigma Chris has and being in a cutthroat business, all puts Chris under even more pressure. “He’s also a kid who witnessed his mother and father in extreme domestic-violence situations. He’s been very damaged. I’m disappointed by how he handled this. But with more therapy, he can get better.”

Psychologist Dr. Lyle Becourtney, a specialist in anger management, agrees. ”I believe he can learn to control his anger if he has the motivation to change. But he must stay in therapy until he has complete confidence in himself, that he can control his anger.”

Anger expert Steven Stosny, Ph.D. and author of Love Without Hurt, believes that Chris’ anger is triggered by shame and that he was flooded with that feeling when his assault on Rihanna was brought up on GMA. “He was overwhelmed by feelings of shame, powerlessness and inadequacy,” he explains. ”He doesn’t know how to cope with these feelings still, so it comes out like a temper tantrum.”

Stosny believes that because Chris feels shame, he is very treatable. He can learn a different way of behaving. “He violated his own values because he hurt someone he loved — Rihanna.”

Unfortunately, Stosny points out, Chris’ childhood led him to make a connection between powerlessness and anger. He believes he felt powerless watching his stepfather attack his mother and that mad him angry as a child and frustrated because he couldn’t stop it. Now as an adult, when he feels powerless, he still responds with anger. Unfortunately, he’s surrounded by people in damage control mode focusing on his career and they’re not thinking about his emotional well-being.” But Stosny adds that he believes “Chris Brown doesn’t want to be an angry, violent person. He wants to be loved and be loving. He needs to go beyond traditional anger-management treatment and get more therapy,”

A fourth therapist, Dr. Gilda Carle,  of www.drgilda.com, believes Brown has made progress. “During his interview with Robin, Brown held it together and even controlled the direction of the interview — he was gentlemanly, but he was not able to sustain it,” she says. “There’s hope for him but he’s got to continue to work at this. He needs people around him saying ‘This is not OK,’ and who will give him lots of love and support and will drive him to his appointments, too!”

So what else should he do that could be positive for him?

Dr. Gardere thinks Chris should take up GMA‘s invitation to go back on the show right away.

“My professional advice would be that this would be an incredible opportunity to have a corrective emotional experience. Go back and do another interview with Robin, where he can apologize and have that apology accepted, and then perform again. He would feel redeemed emotionally and personally,” stresses Dr. Gardere.

I believe Robin Roberts is actually on the same page. When she said “we wish him absolutely the best”,  on GMA after doing a segment about his apology on March 24, I think she was very sincere.

When Chris apologized on BET, he ended by saying “I have to show them (his fans) twice as hard how I’m going to be better.”

If that is true, Chris– and I’m willing to accept that you mean it — then I hope you take the advice from the experts here. Get yourself into serious therapy with a counselor that you can respect and open up to and work hard. You can get over your anger-management issue and move on with your life in a much happier way.

And consider taking up that GMA invite to re – do your interview and promote your album, F.A.M.E.. You can do it and be gracious and impress the critics who didn’t want to give you any more chances!

This is very sad, but not terribly surprising. Last week we reported that one of Kate and Jon Gosselin‘s sextuplets had been suspended from school for fighting. Now In Touch magazine is reporting that all of the Gosselin kids (twins Cara and Mady, 10, and 6-year-old sextuplets Hannah, Aaden, Leah, Joel, Collin and Alexis) are starting to have serious behavioral problems. The magazine reports that two of the 6-year-old sextuplets Collin and Alexis have been expelled from their private school in Pennsylvania and are now being homeschooled!

“They’ve fought with their peers, called them nasty names and made fun of other kids,” a source close to the family tells the In Touch. It seems that some of the kids have started using rather colorful language, much to the surprise of their father, Jon. “The things they are saying are not words they should know. They are learning them somewhere — but Jon doesn’t know where.”

Any parent of school-age children will tell you that they learn a lot more than just reading and math once they step on the school bus, but still it’s upsetting to hear that the kids are cursing!

According to the Gosselin family insider, a few of the famous eight are having “rage issues” since filming began on their newest reality show for TLC Kate Plus 8. “There have been problems with anger management,” says the source, who is quick to point out that their 35-year-old mom seems oblivious to her children’s bad behavior. “The show is her biggest priority. If the kids are unhappy, she doesn’t let that stop her.” That’s interesting! Remember yesterday when we told you about how Eric Roberts thinks Kate needs anger management classes? Apparently, he’s on to something!

The actor has a lot to say about Kate Gosselin and her eight kids. “The kids could have a great time doing the show if their mother wasn’t a cruel horror,” he says in an explosive new interview!

Who knew Eric Roberts was keeping a close eye on the Gosselin family? Well he is. And he doesn’t like what he sees of Kate Gosselin‘s parenting style. “I think the Gosselin kids’ private lives are their problem, not the fact that their private lives are public,” he tells the blog SmalltownGosselins. “They have an awful mother, and a father who doesn’t stop her.”

Woah — what has the 54-year-old so upset with the mother of eight? Eric is appalled by the way that Kate controls her 10-year-old twins, Cara and Madelyn, and 6-year-old sextuplets — Alexis, Hanna, Aaden, Collin, Leah, Joel – especially now that she’s an overwhelmed single mom. “Thank goodness there is footage of Gosselin hitting her kids, and apparently feeling fine about it. I say thank goodness, because behind closed doors makes it that much tougher to stop,” says Eric.

After having successfully sought treatment for his own addiction issues on the newest season of VH1′s Celebrity Rehab, Julia Roberts’ big brother is encouraging Kate to get help. “My advice to Kate Gosselin would be to get out of denial and receive anger management,” he says. “Next time she feels herself lifting a hand to harm one of her children, she should instead make a call to her local 12-step program. Those programs help with patterns of violence, among the more expected things they treat.” Do you think Kate could benefit from management classes, HollyMoms?

Eric, whose daughter is actress Emma Roberts, is certainly passionate when it comes to the subject of parenting. “Most parents love their children very much, just not very well,” he says, adding that he’d like to see some major changes in the way parents are policed. “Violence, emotional or physical, against or around a child should be a one-strike situation. I think endangering a child is an obscene crime. Kind people have to step up to take care of the children who are being raised by unkind people.” He even advises Kate’s ex-husband, Jon Gosselin, to make Kate sign a contract that would take away her financial security any time she hits the kids. “When she stops playing the role as written, she should be fired,” he says.

Eric’s 19-year-old daughter, Emma, has been appearing in movies since she was a tween, but he’s quick to point out that he doesn’t control her career and has never even signed a contract on her behalf. “Her mother and her manager handle her career. Emma is extremely fortunate to be successful at such a joyous job,” he explains.

While he’s no fan of Kate, he also doesn’t agree with Jon, who’s on a crusade to get the kids off of Kate Plus 8. “Jon is being unrealistic. How is that family going to live? The number of kids Kate and Jon have are the reason Kate and John have money. It would be awful if financial stress was added to those kids’ problems,” he says, before mentioning that he doesn’t think the kids should be forced to do anything they don’t want to do. And he has a message for the eight little stars stuck in the middle of this mess. “I would want the Gosselin kids to know that their parents’ rage is not their fault, and to please do therapy to keep themselves from continuing the pattern.”
