We’ve been waiting for the sequel of Anchorman to come out since the second we finished watching it, so needlessly to say we’re pretty jazzed about this trailer for Anchorman 2: The Legend Continues. The movie might not be out until December 2013, but you can watch this teaser on end to satisfy all those Ron Burgundy cravings.

Ron Burgundy & The Gang Return

The incredible one-lining gang led by Ron (played by Will Ferrell) is back in all its glory as we can see from the trailer. A voice compares them to Jesus and Jay-Z (among others) as they step out onto a stage. Each character gives a funny catchphrase — well except for Brick, who doesn’t really understand what’s going on.

Here they are:

Champ (played by David Koechner): “I’ve got liquor breath and I wanna be your friend.”

Brian (played by Paul Rudd): “I got a new cologne — it’s called ‘Venom.’ It’s pretty much 100 percent snake venom.”

Brick (played by Steve Carell): “Happy Easter,” and also, “Always make sure the parents are around if you hug a child.”

And of course, Ron: “Hey! Fat face! You! You stay classy.”

We’re really struggling to contain our excitement, as you can probably tell. These four actors have such amazing chemistry together, and judging by this hilarious teaser, the Anchorman sequel will be just as great as the original. It’s kind of going to be a big deal.

We hope you’ve been staying classy, HollywoodLifers! Will Ferrell, dressed as his Anchorman alter ego Ron Burgundy, paid a visit to Conan on March 28 to announce some breaking news — and no, it wasn’t “cannonball.” Ron, and the entire Channel 4 News Team, will return to theaters for an Anchorman sequel!

“I want to announce this to everyone here in the Americas, to our friends in Spain, Turkey and the UK — including England — that as of 09:00 mountain time, Paramount Pictures and myself, Ronald Joseph Burgundy, have come to terms on a sequel to Anchorman,” he announced. ”It is official, there will be a sequel to Anchorman!”

Will Ferrell is a comedian, impressionist, and actor. We first saw him in the 1990s on NBC’s Saturday Night Live as well as movies like Blades Of Glory, Old School, and Elf.

In 2000 Will married Viveca Paulin, a Swedish actress, and together they have three boys. The oldest is Magnus Paulin Ferrell, born March 7, 2004, followed by Mattias Paulin Ferrell, born December 30, 2006 and Axel Paulin Ferrell, born January 23, 2010. He must keep them as entertained as he keeps us!

“Talk to your children, at least once a week,” he joked to Bewitched co-star Nicole Kidman, “If you’ve got time, do it two or three times a week. But otherwise, I find the times where I let weeks and weeks go by without talking to my children, that adds up.”

Sometimes we don’t think he’s being serious!

If there is one man who has worked on some of the best comedic films of our generation, it is Judd Apatow. I was at my friend’s house and the baby was three months old and the baby was hungry,” he said. “As a moron, I had forgotten to bring food for the baby. But my friend’s wife had just had a baby, so I asked her to breastfeed my child.” Well, we hope you never do that again, Judd! Mommy-to-be Christina shares her thoughts on the possibility of an Anchorman sequel – and if you’re a fan of the cult favorite film, you’ll be happy to know this fantasy could soon be a reality!

Who ISN’T obsessed with Anchorman? We’ve been eagerly awaiting the day when we’d see a sequel to the cult 2004 film about sexist anchorman Ron Burgundy whose world is rocked in the ‘70s when feminist anchorwoman Veronica Corningstone comes to town. Guess what, BFFs? That day may come sooner than you think!

“Your guess is as good as mine [as to when the movie will actually be written],” star Christina Applegate – who played Veronica in the original film – said while attending a Surfrider Foundation event in Malibu, Calif. Sept. 11. “The whole cast is in,” she added, “But it’s up to monetary costs.”

Our fingers are crossed that this happens ASAP! In the meantime, BFFs, as Ron himself says, “Stay classy.”
