Amanda Beard, 31, is pregnant again! The Olympic swimmer and her husband, photographer Sacha Brown, are set to welcome another baby together in the summer.

Amanda confirmed the good news to People on Feb. 8, and said she can already see the difference with her second baby. She revealed how the pregnancy with her first child, Blaise Ray, 3, was much more difficult.

“We are so excited to add to our family! During my first pregnancy, I was sick the whole time and felt awful,” Amber told People. “So far this pregnancy has been a lot easier. I’ve only been sick a couple of times and I have way more energy.”

She also revealed how her son Blaise feels about another addition to their family.

“He’s so excited. He keeps telling me how he is going to hug and kiss the baby and help me take care of [him or her],” she joked. “We will see if that actually happens!”

Amanda Beard’s Olympic Career Before Mommyhood

Throughout Amanda’s professional swimming career, she has won won two gold, four silver and one bronze medal in the Olympics. She won her last three medals in 2004 Summer Olympic Games, and is also the world record holder in the 200-meter breaststroke (long course).

Amanda and Sacha got married in May 2009 on Wakatobi, an archipelago in the Banda Sea off southeastern Indonesia. Just four months later, they welcomed their baby boy Blaise.

In 2012, she published a memoir titled, In the Water They Can’t See You Cry about her struggle with her parents’ divorce at age 12, self-mutilation, depression and drug use. She continues to work as a motivational speaker.

Amanda Beard became a household name in the ’90s when she plunged into Olympic swimming at just 14 years old. But she reveals that life wasn’t perfect as a young athlete!

Amanda, 30, says that as a teen, she was cutting herself, abusing drugs and alcohol, and suffering from bulimia — all while winning Olympic medals and keeping up a successful modeling career, RadarOnline.com reports.

The book, which hits stores April 3, is called In the Water They Can’t See You Cry. In it, Amanda says the pressure to win was overwhelming and led to the tough issues she dealt with.

Thankfully, she got professional help and is now a happy, healthy wife and mom. She’s even vying for a spot on the US team for this summer’s Olympic Games in London!
