I was shocked to see Nick Carter’s Wi-Fi available backstage at the American Music Awards, but his password was even more priceless!

The American Music Awards Nov. 21 were chalk full of fun surprises, Justin Bieber broke records, Ke$ha acted like a robot…and Nick Carter forgot to put his Wi-fi network on private. Confused? Allow me to explain.

I was sitting backstage at the awards with a couple friends, frantically searching for Internet when “Nick Carter’s Shit” popped up on my Mac as the number one option. Sadly, the network was locked, but my friends and I started to try passwords just for giggles. “Backstreetsback” and “Sexytimes” didn’t work, but the third option did!

That’s right; I can officially tell you Nick Carter‘s Wi-Fi password is (drum roll, please)…”Backstreet!” How funny is that? Out of all the passwords in the world, the 30-year-old boy band star chose the most cliche, predictable word he could ever use and it 100% made my night.

Unfortunately, shortly thereafter “Nick Carter’s Shit” disappeared into the abyss, as though it knew I was riding its coat tails. Nevertheless, my night was already made. Thanks, Nick!

P.S. My co-workers and I wanted you to know you were the shining star during the NKOTBSB solos last night. You’ve still got the heat!

Last’s night’s American Music Awards was filled with some really great – and some not so great – beauty looks! Who looked amazing and who looked like a hot mess? Let’s see if you agree with my picks:

Best: Taylor Swift – Arguably, Taylor not only had one of the best looks (hello, supermodel!) but the biggest transformations of pretty much the entire year! The sleek hair, the sultry makeup – this look is full of win.

Worst: Ke$ha – <sigh> Where do I start? The bad arts & crafts eyebrows? The gunmetal lipstick? The bottle of hair gel that died for nothing? Not a fan.

Best: Miley Cyrus – Looking soft, pretty and amazing. Her hair looked amazing and her makeup went beautifully with her Marchesa gown.  Love!

Worst: Kelly Osbourne – Usually I’m a fan of Kelly’s retro looks, but this is 80′s gone wrong. She has a round face and the rounded ends of this haircut make her head look super tiny. The eye makeup is also a little too much.

Best: Katy Perry - Again, Katy knows what works for her. Love the long curled locks, defined eye makeup and the pink lip. It’s a great mix of cute and sexy.

Worst: Mandy Moore - I actually like her rich hair color, but this makeup look washes her out; her skin is too pale for metallic bronze colors. Her hair also looks kind of half done.

Best: Rihanna – I really like the curls and the green eye shadow is really lovely. Great lashes and the light pink lip was a great decision. She looked great.

Worst: Nicki Minaj – It’s not the blonde hair that I mind or even the green tips. What I don’t like is that the hair is so thin that I can see the track marks of the wig/weave at the crown.  The hot pink lip is also competing with everything else she has on.

Best: Whitney Port – LOVE the new hair color! It really makes her eyes pop and it’s great with her skin tone. Also love the makeup.

Worst: Heidi Klum – Her updo is WAY too severe and stiff, especially with that dark eye makeup. It’s usually better to pair softer hair and darker makeup or a severe updo with softer makeup as a general rule.

Nic, we know you need your quiet time, but this is just silly! Who quiets photographers at a movie premiere?

Nicole, the first time you sssh’d us this fall, we were entertained and intrigued. But now, after you did it second time at the NYC premiere of Nine on Dec. 15, we were just outright confused. What does this mean?

Are you not-so-inconspicuously hiding something…like a baby brother or sister for daughter Sunday Rose, perhaps? At the American Music Awards in Los Angeles on Nov. 22, you held your stomach AND quieted the paparazzi. We speculated then that you might have a bun in the old oven.

New York’s Nine premiere was a different story. You didn’t do the stomach grab and looked pretty darn skinny to us, which leaves us even more perplexed.

We’ve waited long enough, Mona Lisa Kidman. Why do you need us to be quiet, and what are you hiding?

After taking serious heat for booking Chris Brown after canceling Adam Lambert, it seems Good Morning America has had a change of heart — and Chris won’t be singing live on the morning show after all.

Chris was scheduled to promote his new album Graffiti this week which will drop Dec. 8 — but now he’s been nixed off the morning show altogether. No more concert — but this weekend, according to reports, Brown pre-taped an interview this weekend about what happened with ex-GF Rihanna which will air Dec. 11 on 20/20.

No word on whether Adam’s going to be on the show sometime soon.

We asked you this morning outside the Early Show studio if you were turned on or off by Adam’s outrageous AMA performance. Guess what — you still love him like crazy!

Despite his provocative performance at Sunday’s American Music Awards and Good Morning America canceling his scheduled appearance,  Adam Lambert‘s fans haven’t lost any of their fervor. This morning, Adam serenaded his fans in front of the camera of CBS’s The Early Show.  And what did his fans think? — consensus was that the producers of GMA “missed out big time!”

Adam’s controversial moves on Sunday don’t seem to surprise his fans at all. “I was not shocked by it.  I know who he is and what he has done in the past and that’s just him being him,” explains Meredith, a fan of Lambert since his first round on American Idol. “He has so many different sides to him and what he showed at the AMAs was just one side,” she continues. “That’s why we all like him, because he attracts so many different people,” agrees Kristin, another Lambert supporter.

Even though fans expect Lambert’s edgy side to cause uproar, the heat of the outside world doesn’t seem to sway the passion of his fans.  “I knew he was going to get some backlash from it, from a lot of parents or from people that are a little bit more conservative. I knew they might have a problem with it, but I loved it,” says another fan during this morning’s Early Show performance.

Adam’s AMA performance didn’t shock the fans in the least bit, nor did the reality of GMA canceling on Adam.  Lorraine, another Lambert fan, tells us Lambert’s motif for entertaining is no new thing: ”I was shocked only because [the producers of GMA] knew he was going to be shocking and eye-popping through the show.  So he popped our eye one more time, we were warned.”

So, to all the people who find the Adam Lambert controversy from this week offending, his fans don’t really care what you have to say.  “If you are an Adam Lambert fan, you know what he stands for and he stands for representing his music,” says a fan from New Jersey on behalf of the all the “Glamberts” out there.  His fans know that he has talent — and that’s all that really matters.

TV watchdog group Parents Television Council is hopping mad about Adam’s controversial performance last night at the American Music Awards. In a statement just issued to HollywoodLife.com, the PTC slams ABC for being “tasteless” and “vulgar” for letting Adam do his S&M bondage thing and for another instance of simulated oral sex on Adam. (In case you live on the West Coast, the oral sex part got edited out.)

“American teenagers – and especially teenaged girls – are literally under siege by the entertainment media. It is outrageous that children today cannot watch a televised awards program for an industry that is built squarely on their backs. Teens comprise a huge portion of music sales, yet this is how they are treated? It is beyond contemptible,” said PTC President Tim Winter. Last night’s ‘American Music Awards’ broadcast was nothing short of tasteless and vulgar. Adam Lambert, the second-place finisher in last season’s ‘American Idol’ competition, chose to treat American families to simulated oral sex and other demeaning behavior. ABC and Dick Clark Productions had every reason to know what to expect, as Lambert himself proclaimed that his performance would be ‘very sexy’ and would include leather and chains. But the producers and the network chose to bury their heads in the sand.”

Lambert, for his part, has refused to apologize for his performance.

The PTC continues: “The Parents Television Council is calling on its members in areas where the oral sex scene aired before 10 pm to contact the FCC to complain about last night’s show, which in no way fulfills ABC- affiliated stations’ public interest obligation for free use of the public broadcast airwaves. PTC is also asking its members to contact ABC stations and Dick Clark Productions directly to voice their concerns about the graphic nature of the show.”
