It’s a sad day in Pine Valley as David Canary, the longtime star of ABC’s ‘All My Children’ has passed away at 77. He played lead character Adam Chandler for 26 years on the soap, and before that starred in the classic TV western ‘Bonanza.’
David Canary, who starred on two beloved long running TV shows has died at age 77. He was known to this generation as Adam Chandler on ABC’s soap opera All My Children, but before that was known to a totally different audience when he starred on the legendary TV western Bonanza in the late 1960’s.His family revealed on Nov. 23 that he had passed away from natural causes.R.I.P David.

Sarah Michelle Gellar is returning to TV in a big way this fall — and we’re not just talking about her sweet new CW thriller Ringer. “I can officially confirm that I will be doing a guest spot on All My Children,” she announced Aug. 4 at the Television Critics Association’s summer press tour.
The two major daytime classics are the latest casualties in the gradual extinction of soap operas.
Erica Kane, we hardly knew ye. ABC announced April 14 that it will be canceling soaps All My Children(ending in Sept. 2011) and One Life to Live (ending in Jan. 12.) The daytime classics are both being replaced by new talk shows — one about food called The Chew, and another about makeovers called The Revolution.
