Corey Simms and Leah Messer have brought a new meaning to co-parenting when they and their respective families banded together for the sake of their daughter Ali, 2. The little girl has been in the hospital since Dec. 11, and both parents are asking fans and family for their prayers and support.

Dad Corey, along with his dad Jeff Simms, have even been staying at a hotel near the hospital while little Ali gets some medical testing done. They have been visiting their little girl as much as possible, and grandpa Jeff has been snapping pics of his granddaughter in the hospital play room.

“Aliannah and Corey both probably feel like they are looking in a mirror,” Jeff tweeted on Dec. 12 along with the adorable photo.

And Leah and Corey both have an incredibly supportive family on each side, with both sets of grandparents and significant others there to support little Ali.

“Ugh… My nerves are a wreck! @Calvert505 @MommaDawnSpears @JeffSimms @CoreySimms2 So thankful were all here together!” Leah tweeted on Dec. 13.

Although MTV won’t release a comment regarding Ali’s medical condition or why she is in the hospital, a spokesperson for released a vague statement on Leah’s on her Facebook page on Dec. 11:

“Ali had a procedure done today. She was not allowed to eat beforehand, Leah did not starve herself nor the expected baby. Ali is fine, they were just doing some testing.”

Even though Leah Messer and Corey Simms are divorced, they and their families are rallying around daughter Ali, 2, as she battles yet another health complication — and they are asking fans for their prayers and support.

The Teen Mom 2 star worried fans and family alike on Dec. 11 when she tweeted she wasn’t going to eat until her daughter Ali could eat, and said she missed her little girl. Corey’s fiance Miranda Patterson also tweeted that she was praying for Ali — and thinking about her all day.

That night, Corey’s dad finally Jeff Simms revealed the condition of his granddaughter.

“This little angel is fine. She as well as her family just need any and all prayers right now,” he tweeted late on Dec. 11 with an adorable photo of Ali playing in a hospital play room.

“Ali is on her way to where she is going, I just want her to be there now,” he added an hour later along with a photo of little Ali being wheeled away in a wagon owned by a children’s hospital.

Even though MTV would not comment on the condition of Ali or why she was in the hospital, it seems like Ali could be going into surgery since she can’t eat and will have to stay for a couple days in the hospital.

No worries though — dad Corey and grandpa Jeff are staying in a hotel nearby! “Bout to whoop @JeffSimms if we cant agree on a temp for the hotel room,” Corey joked on Twitter.

The co-parenting family that sticks together  

Leah reiterated that the strength of her family is keeping Ali and everyone else healthy and happy.

“There’s nothing like a family that sticks together through everything for the sake of their children! #strength #courage,” she tweeted.

“If there is another season of TM2, the fans will be amazed at what is to come. Didn’t see this coming! #familymatters” Jeff added.

Another photo Jeff Simms shared showed what looks like an MTV producer or camera person behind Ali, so maybe the dramatic hospital footage will be released during the next (possible) season of Teen Mom 2!

Leah’s fanpage released a statement on her official fan page:

Leah Messer and ex-husband Corey Simms have agonized over the frightening health issues with daughter Ali, 2, — twin to their other daughter Aleeah – especially since she was born with a developmental disorder.

But Leah’s tweet on Dec. 11 sparked intense fear for friends, fans and family members — and has us worried for poor little Ali’s health!

“I will not eat until my baby girl can eat. #AliannahHope .. We miss you #AleeahGrace && love you !!”

It sounds like Ali is having trouble eating — or is not ingesting any food to prep for surgery, or another MRI!

Although we can’t confirm for sure what the health problems are with Ali, Corey’s fiance Miranda Patterson also tweeted her concerns for the little girl.

“Thinking of Ali girl today & praying for her & Aleeah every day. So blessed to have them and @CoreySimms2 in my life,” she wrote on Dec. 11.

This isn’t the first time Leah and Corey have had to worry for Ali. She was rushed to the hospital in September, seasons one and two of Teen Mom 2 showed Ali’s frequent trips to the doctor’s office and scary MRI scans.

Fortunately, Ali’s developmental disorder — her leg muscles aren’t developing at a normal rate — hasn’t prevented her from making big strides. She recently started walking, and can keep up with her sister Aleeah!

We just hope everything is all right for Ali and her family!

When the news broke that Teen Mom 2 star Leah Messer, 18, filed for divorce from her husband of six months Corey Simms, 20, we were heartbroken! Now HollyBaby.com has some exclusive details about their current situation.

According to a court source, Leah filed the papers on April 14, in Kanawha County, WV. Although there is no court date scheduled, Leah’s attorney is Lyne Ranson and the judge will be Mark Snyder. Corey has not hired a lawyer as of yet.

Us Weekly confirmed the news of the divorce, adding that Leah hinted about troubles earlier in the year, “Everything Corey and I have done has happened so fast.” Friends of the young couple, who have 16-month-old twin daughters, Ali and Aleeah,and are hoping they can work things out — and so do we!

We reached out to Lyne but she declined to comment.

But for now they’re still focused on figuring out baby Ali’s mysterious health problems.

Teen Mom 2 stars Leah Messer, 18, and Corey Simms, 20, may have their hands full with their 1-year-old twin girls, Ali and Aleeah, but that doesn’t mean they don’t have room for more kids. Where does Leah see herself in 10 years? “I plan to be through school, and possibly have another baby,” Leah reveals. “Corey really wants a boy.” Would you like to see Leah add a new addition to her family?

“We are doing really good,” Leah tells RadarOnline.com about her and Corey. “We’ve grown up a lot and we’re getting stronger every day.” The couple has been staying strong for their daughter Ali, who has been facing development problems that have limited her eye-sight and walking ability.

“I’m coping with things a lot better than I have before,” Leah says of Ali’s situation. “I honestly didn’t know how to take things before it was all new to me and all I knew was Ali is my little girl and I just wanted her to be healthy. She is doing good,” she adds, “were still doing tests and waiting. No answers.”

For now, Leah, who dreams of returning to school and getting her degree once the girls get older, is focused on being a supportive wife and mother. “The most important thing I would say is you don’t have only responsibility for yourself anymore,” Leah explains. “You also have to take all responsibility for the child you gave birth to. Which is harder than what it looks!”
