The Real Housewives of Orange County is losing one of its own, as Alexis Bellino confirms her exit from the series.

“After three seasons of appearing on The Real Housewives of Orange County, I have made the difficult decision not to return for season 8,” Alexis tells PEOPLE. “Although Bravo made me a very generous offer and I’m thankful to have had this experience, I will be leaving the show behind to focus on my family and other opportunities.”

“I am so grateful to have gone through this amazing journey and to have met so many incredible fans,” her statement continues. “My heart is at peace and I remain so excited for my future.”

“Alexis was really tired of being bullied and chose home and family life over celebrity,” an insider told Us Weekly about Alexis leaving the show.

Alexis has three children – James, 5, and twin daughters, 4-year-old Melania and Mackenna.

Alexis Bellino, 35, has decided to leave the reality show, an insider tells Us Weekly. A rep for Bravo did not confirm this report. Will you miss Alexis if she leaves the show?

“Alexis was really tired of being bullied and chose home and family life over celebrity,” the insider source told Us Weekly about Alexis leaving the show.

Apparently, she “wanted to go back to her simple life in Orange County.”

Alexis previously spoke to Us about the verbal abuse her family suffered on the show, specifically from cast member Tamra Barney at the 2012 RHOC reunion show.

“The Real Housewives of Orange County is a reality show that is meant to entertain and engage audiences with the lives of its cast members. This vicious and malicious attack on our family will no longer be tolerated. We have continually tried to take the high road, however, if necessary, we are prepared to defend ourselves against these unfounded, slanderous and defamatory remarks to the fullest extent of the law.”

Alexis has three children – James, 5, and twin daughters, 4-year-old Melania and Mackenna.

The inside source insists Alexis is out, but a rep for Bravo told Us, “We have not yet made any announcements about a season 8 pick up or casting.”

The original Real Housewives never fail to be out staged with their over-the-top lifestyles, plastic surgery, and girl fights. Season six was no disappointment with the addition of new ‘Housewives’ Peggy Tanous and Fernanda Rocha spicing up new drama while lingering feuds still raged on between Tamra Barney and Gretchen Rossi. We saw catfights, wine-throwing, and even a divorce — but check out what you didn’t see on this season of The Real Housewives of Orange County.

Monday night Bravo is showing all the juicy footage that was left out of season six in a special “Lost Footage” episode. Gretchen gets real about her struggles with bulimia that have haunted her since high school! She reveals that the pressure of her parents drove her to want to be “perfect” and still taint her body image today. Alexis Bellino talks to a therapist about her relationship with her husband being strained because of her fear of divorce. Since both their parents are divorced Alexis and her husband made a pact when they got married that “divorce was not an option.”

Divorce and eating disorders are just a few of the issues addressed in Monday night’s “Lost Footage” episode. We’re sure there will be plenty of other skeletons in the closet that surface with the rest of the girls and we can’t wait to see what wasn’t included in last season. Tell us what you think! One end-of-the-season party equals lots of crazy housewives drama!

The June 5 season finale of The Real Housewives of Orange County started with a bang! We all knew it was coming, but Vicki Gunvalson announces she’s officially filed for divorce from Don. The tears come, but Vicki tries to stay strong by deciding to host an annual summer party in her backyard. Clearly when it comes to the OC, the parties — and the drama — must go on!

And boy does the drama get underway at this shindig! It all starts when Tamra Barney arrives at the party — armed with an official legal note to seek some revenge on former OC housewife Jeana Keough! When Tamra confronts her about spreading nasty divorce rumors to the press, Jeana denies it all.

But things really get heated-up when an infuriated Tamra throws her drink in Jeana’s face. This, of course, leads to a domino effect of drink-throwing and name-calling between them until Jeana finally walks out of the party with her entourage.

When the ladies finally come up for air after the crazy mêlée, Gretchen Rossi chimes in about the whole thing. She says it’s difficult to deal with friends constantly talking behind your back — something she’s had to put up with for two years! Tamra calls for a total truce with all the ladies, hoping they can put the past behind them and move forward with their friendships!

In other Housewives news, the tension between Alexis Bellino and Peggy Tanous has been brewing for a while, and it finally comes to a full boil at Vicki’s backyard bash. What starts as a little fight about lips turns into an all-out war between the gal pals over their husbands! The clash ends with a semi-believable truce. But clearly it’s going to take a lot more than that to heal these battle wounds!

Looks like we’ll just have to wait until next season to see how everything gets resolved!

What a way to wrap up the drama-filled season!

It’s an all-out war between Tamra Barney and her nemesis, Jeana Keough!

The long-time frenemies get into a ferocious fight on tonight’s Real Housewives of Orange County over some nasty remarks Jeana leaked to the press about Tamra’s messy divorce from Simon Barney.

When the two come face-to-face at a party, Tamra causes a major scene by throwing a letter from her attorney in Jeana’s face — making it clear she wants the woman out of her life for good!

We can’t wait to see what happens next between these two fired-up ladies when the season finale airs tonight on Bravo at 10:00 p.m.!

Meanwhile, Gretchen gets serious with Slade and Vicki’s on the brink of divorce.

The May 22 episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County started with a bang: Peggy Tanous throws a big birthday bash for her hubby in Las Vegas!

Tamra Barney and Eddie join the couple for a night of crazy fun on the Strip. Because the two couples mesh so well over dinner and drinks, Peggy even thinks they’re a perfect replacement for their former BFFs, The Bellinos.

But things aren’t so hot in the Gunvalson household. Vicki Gunvalson’s hit rock-bottom in her relationship with Don — the two rarely talk or spend quality time together anymore.  She even admits, “I feel he’s more like a business partner than a husband.”

Though she’s stayed pretty hush about her problems with the ladies, Vicki eventually spills about the whole thing to Tamra over shots of tequila. Vicki explains she’s still on the fence about divorce, but Tamra (a new divorcee) thinks it might be the best move for the both of them.

In other Housewives news, Gretchen Rossi and Slade sit down for a long talk about their future. While she admits she loves him to death, Gretchen doesn’t coddle him for long, and explains that he needs to get his act together. With rumors flying around about his child custody battles, Gretchen says she won’t foot the bill for any of his post-marital problems. And she won’t even think about marriage until everything gets resolved!

But the OC drama really heats up during Alexis Bellino’s fashion show. Though Alexis was hoping for a picture perfect evening of “fabulous fashion and fabulous fun,” the premiere of her couture dress line turns into a huge flop!

For starters, the ladies are lukewarm about the dress collection. But things get even more spiced up when Tamra learns that Vicki’s in the hospital for hemorrhage surgery!

She panics about the whole thing, which turns into a major distraction from the fashion show. And when Gretchen says Vicki’s timing was “ironic,” this causes a major blowout between the ladies, which is sure to spill over into next week’s season finale!

The May 15 episode of The Real Housewives of Orange County started with a bang: Simon Barney’s in the slammer!

Tamra Barney calls the cops on her ex after he chucks a dog leash at her! She goes to court to file a restraining order, but Simon gets off scot-free. Her BFF, Vicki Gunvalson thinks it was a bold move, but totally sympathizes with Tamra — after all, she’s been down the same messy road of divorce in the past.

Meanwhile, former OC housewife, Jeana Keough, returns to confront Tamra about the whole situation. When the two sit down face-to-face, they get into a major blow-out (some things never change). In the end, Tamra gives Jeana a piece of her mind: stay out of my business!

In other Housewives news, the rest of the ladies hit the road for some crazy times down south! The gang loads up on lots of tequila, pecan pie and southern BBQ in Gretchen Rossi’s hometown: San Antonio, Texas!

And a southern vaca with the housewives couldn’t be complete without a little wild fun — send in the mechanical bulls! Fernanda Rocha gives it a good shot, but falls flat on her face after a few seconds. But a very tipsy Alexis Bellino holds her own, showing off an unexpected naughty side to all the ladies!

When all is said and done, perhaps it’s Peggy Tanous who puts it best: “What happens in Texas, stays in Texas.” But who is she kidding? We know all that the southern drama is coming straight back to the OC in next week’s episode!
