While we often see Kate Middleton recycling some of her outfits, it was refreshing to see her in a new, form fitting Alexander McQueen lace dress, with a matching Jane Taylor fascinator and LK Bennett heels for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee. It might have been a brand new look for the special occasion, but we love that she relied on her fave designers!

The princess looked absolutely gorgeous, and while I’m always a fan of her fantastic style this has to be one of my favorites! I love how the star showed off the same designer who was behind her gorgeous wedding dress. What do YOU think of the nude lace dress?

It’s a sad day for Kate Middleton‘s gorgeous Alexander McQueen by Sarah Burton wedding dress, as it is finally being removed from display, packed up and locked away in storage.Over 600,000 people went to view the stunning white, silk and lace gown during its exhibit run at London’s Buckingham Palace, breaking last years exhibition record of 413,000 visitors.

A representative from the palace said that the Duchess of Cambridge is “keen to ensure that the dress survives undamaged for as long as possible,” People reported. That means that once they close the storage locks, Kate’s fairy tale gown will go unseen for a long time.

Is the Princess taking such drastic measures to ensure the dress is in tip-top shape for when her future daughter walks down the aisle?  We think any royal heiress would be more than ecstatic to say ‘I Do’ in such a glamorous gown, which will more than likely be considered vintage McQueen couture by the time Kate and Prince William have a child that’s marriage ready!

Taking over for the late Lee McQueen certainly wasn’t an easy task — but designer Sarah Burton continues to impress at the helm of Alexander McQueen. From the now iconic wedding dress she crafted for Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, to the Spring 2012 show she sent down the runway today, Sarah is truly talented.

The light, airy gowns are perfect for awards season and thrilled the critics and stylists — including Rachel Zoe, who snapped this pic from the front row! “Can’t really breathe from the Alexander McQueen show..stunning beyond,” she tweeted.

We’re sure fans of the fashion house, including Kate Middleton and Anna Paquin, along with stars nominated for the Globes and Oscars will be stunned with the latest collection. I know I was! Do you agree?

Anne Hathaway was in NYC on Aug. 8 for the One Day premiere, where she showed up looking stunning in a resort dress by Alexander McQueen, making her the first star to show off a look from the collection.

The dress, which hit right around the knee, contained a boned bodice, complete with gold embroidery. The detailing narrowed out the waist before expanding into a full skirt. Gold encrusted Christian Louboutin pumps and Tiffany & Co. jewelry completed the look. I can’t get over how gorgeous this get-up was on the star, and I love the longer length — get ready to see frocks with longer hemlines on numerous red carpets come fall!

For the after party at the Russian Tea Room, the 28-year-old actress swapped her elaborate McQueen frock for a more appropriate yet still oh-so-chic Carven dress and a pair of Roger Vivier shoes.

On July 4, Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, pulled out yet another high-fashion dress on the North American tour in Canada. After showing her appreciation for Canada Day, she was festive for Independence Day in her white and navy get-up — but she wasn’t the first stylish woman to flaunt this Alexander McQueen frock!

Kate is quickly becoming a style icon, so it’s no surprise she’s looking to other women in the category — including Sarah Jessica Parker! Back in January 2006, SJP accompanied her hubby Matthew Broderick when he was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The fashionable star opted for the navy version and a bright red pair of pumps.

While SJP added a bit of flair to the look with her shoes, Kate kept her outfit more conservative, opting for navy Prada pumps — I love how both women made the dress their own with the subtle choices they made.

Catherine, the Duchess of Cambridge, brought her feminine flair into a military-inspired get-up on Jun. 25 when she stepped out with her husband for the first joint military ceremony, part of the UK’s third Armed Forces Day. So, what does one wear for the occasion?

Kate opted for a navy, double-breasted McQueen coat. She added a fascinator, pumps, and a gold shamrock brooch that has also been worn by the Queen Mother and Princess Anne. To top it all off, Kate had on what appears to be a princess charm bracelet! The simple link bracelet had a hanging charm, engraved with a picture of a crown above the letter ‘C’. While it reminds me of all the silly princess jewelry little girls love to wear, if anyone has a reason to sport a crown it’s definitely Kate! I wonder if it was given to her as a gift after the Royal Wedding.

While the down-to-earth Duchess has a penchant for more affordable brands like Zara, when it comes to her outerwear she seems fond of McQueen — after all, this is the second coat she’s worn from the brand since her nuptials, not to mention the fact that she wed in the label as well.

Gibson crafted a low chignon for Ashely or the ball — doesn’t it look just like Kristen Stewart’s? — using these simple steps:

• Ted started using Hair Sheet Styling all over Ashley’s damp hair to give it volume and shine

• He then used a flat brush and separated the hair into sections

• Ted used a flatiron to create waves in the sections

• He finished the look with Beautiful Hold Hairspray

Early on in their careers, both Lea Michele and Dianna Agron established themselves as red carpet fixtures — and while their personal styles vary, there’s no denying the fact that they always look gorgeous, just like they did at the 2011 Met Ball! The unveiling of the Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty exhibit drew a slew of familiar faces, but we also saw a bunch of newcomers — including the Glee gals, who both looked regal in red.

Lea always seems to steal the show on the red carpet, but while I loved her Escada gown Dianna’s Michael Kors dress was by far my fave.
