NFL and Hollywood are mourning the loss of Alex Karras, who played defensive tackle for the Detroit Lions from 1958 to 1970. He died of kidney failure, a family spokesperson tells TMZ, after several years of battling multiple diseases, including stomach cancer and dementia.
