Just when I thought I couldn’t love Al Roker any more than I already do — he’s America’s favorite weatherman, and I don’t even care when he’s wrong — he goes and does a sit-down interview with Dateline NBC all about the time he sharted himself at the White House. … OK, the interview wasn’t just about Al’s accident, but that’s all anyone really cares about. And rightfully so.

The incident occurred during a press trip to the White House in 2002, shortly after Al had undergone gastric bypass surgery. (Oh, you thought he lost all that weight at the gym? That’s very cute of you.)

Here’s what went down in Al’s own words:

“I probably went off and ate something I wasn’t supposed, and as I’m walking to the press room, I realized, ‘I have to pass a little gas here,’” he began. “And I thought, ‘Who’s going to know?’ Only, a little something extra came out.”

Al didn’t want to come out and say it, but Dr. Nancy Snyderman — sweet journalist Dr. Nancy Snyderman — had the courage to speak the truth.

“You pooped your pants,” she said, somehow managing to keep a straight face.

To which Al conceded, “I pooped my pants.”

Long story short, he threw his underwear out in the bathroom — like a boss — and spent the rest of the day going commando.

Al may be the current “it” guy of the celebrity sharting community, but he’s hardly the first person to famously flatulate.

During her run on Dancing with the Stars back in Oct. 2011, Nancy Grace cut more than just a rug; but rather than admit to letting out a squeaker, she had the gall to blame partner Tristan MacManus! Rumor has it, Tristan sheds a tear every time he hears someone else fart to this very day. And by “rumor has it,” I mean I just made that up. But doesn’t that sound like something that could be true?

Sandra uses Skype and iChat to talk to baby Louis when she’s far away!

It’s always super hard for a mommy to be away from her baby, especially when it’s the first time. The Blind Side actress Sandra Bullock knows exactly how this feels. Sandra, who traveled to Los Angeles, Cali. for the 68th Annual Golden Globe Awards on Jan. 16, spent her first time away from her 11-month-old son Louis since adopting him last year. But, Sandra has ways of staying in touch with him when she’s traveling. “He’s got the iPad and the iPhone and the computer with iChat,” Sandra tells The Today Show‘s Al Roker.

“The beauty with modern technology is that you have Skype and iChat and things like that,” Sandra continues. “Every five minutes my phone goes off with pictures [and] documentation.”

“I bought him a desk, a mid-century desk and he has the set-up,” Sandra adds. “He’s amazing.”

But that still doesn’t delude from the fact that Sandra hates being separated from her son. “I miss him,” she confesses. “This is my first time away. I’m having trouble.”

Dearest Spencer Pratt,

You’ve had your fair share of scuffles in Hollywood — your ridiculous feud with a certain jolly weatherman comes to mind — but now you’re being challenged by an opponent who really packs a punch. WWE superstar Ted DiBiase told me he wants you to host an episode of “Monday Night Raw” because he’d “love to beat the crap” out of you — and I think it would be a brilliant career move for you to accept his challenge!

Take a look at the show’s recent hosts: Snoop Dogg, Verne Troyer, Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne, Johnny Damon — these people are pop culture icons, just like you! Don’t tell me you couldn’t close your eyes and picture yourself at the center of the WWE ring, microphone in hand, causing trouble for millions of fans to see.

Not to mention, you’re the master of manipulation! Just look at how you tried to sneak off and get a vasectomy when your wife, Heidi Montag, wanted to get pregnant — or the way you took over your sister Stephanie Pratt‘s apartment when you crashed on her couch. If you’d go as far as to screw over your own family members, I’d love to see what kind of hell you could raise in the already dramatic WWE world.

Spencer, your ruthlessness knows no bounds — and hosting an episode of “Monday Night Raw” would be the perfect opportunity to show the world just how low you can go.

Al Roker does! He’s ripping into Heidi Montag and Spencer Pratt again!

We knew a cease fire between Al and Speidi was too good to last! Apparently Spencer’s last apology via Twitter (he felt “very regretful for saying HATEFULL [sic] tweets towards a good man!”) didn’t go over so well.

(You’ll remember Al interrogated them about their obsession with fame, Speidi then talked smack about him to anyone who would listen, and subsequently said they were sorry.)

But in a new interview with Obsessed TV’s Samantha Ettus, Al wants the world to know that he thinks Heidi is a complete hypocrite.

“I don’t know, maybe I’m wrong and I missed something but I don’t think Mother Theresa posed nude in Playboy,” says Al, referring to the Heidi’s proclamation that she wants to be like the late nun. “I think she was known for good work, helping the poor, healing the sick, not showing her ta-tas off.”

Yikes! Although … the usually cheery meteorologist does make a fair point.

Heidi and Spencer haven’t responded on their Twitter pages yet, but no doubt we’ll be hearing from them soon!

4. When it comes to Thanksgiving traditions, Al Roker doesn’t have to think twice about his favorite: “It’s all about the food,” Al tells us. The weatherman will be spending Thanksgiving at his brother’s house.
5. It’s all business for model Miranda Kerr, who tells us she’ll be promoting her new lines over the holiday.

Al, you’re such a stand-up guy!

We caught up with Al Roker at the 2009 Domestic Violence Survivor Scholarship Awards Luncheon in NYC, and he told us he bears no ill will towards Spencer Pratt after The Hills star tweeted an apology to him on Nov. 17.

The whole debacle began Nov. 16 when Spencer and wife Heidi Montag were supposed to be guests on NBC’s The Today Show. But when Speidi were suspiciously bumped from the line-up, Spencer took his anger to the web! He tweeted, “Weatherman weren’t you out of town getting your stomach stapled again?” He later retracted his hateful words — and as we learned, Al is happy to be done with the whole ordeal.

You can always count on Al to be the bigger person. No wonder he’s everyone’s favorite weatherman!

Spencer Pratt can’t seem to go one day without ripping someone a new one on his Twitter page — but at least this time he apologized.

His latest victim?  Today Show host and weatherman Al Roker.

Spencer and his wife Heidi Montag, were scheduled to promote their book How To Be Famous, on the Today Show, but instead NBC rocked Speidi’s world. “Due to a change in the show’s schedule, we had to cancel the interview,” an NBC rep tells US Weekly. Sounds a little fishy to us –- especially since Al and Spencer had a faceoff on national TV back in June.

Spencer went from tweeting yesterday, “Weatherman weren’t you out of town getting your stomach stapled again?” to “Weatherman – I’m feeling very regretful for saying hateful tweets towards a good man.”

And we were actually looking forward to round three — or was it six?
