Andy Samberg’s rap trio is so funny, and between the ridiculous set pieces and an appearance from Michael Bolton, it was hilariously absurd!

Andy Samberg‘s comedy group The Lonely Island had an epic performance at the 2011 Emmy Awards, and we think it was easily the most memorable moment of the night!

Andy, 33, and his boys rapped their biggest hits in front of some ridiculous nautical-themed sets, but the best parts were the super-strange cameos. Michael Bolton crooning in pirate gear for “Jack Sparrow?” Check. Akon singing the awkwardly raunchy hook for “I Just Had Sex?” Check. The involvement of John Stamos? We’re captivated!

J has worked with both Akon and T-Pain. See what he has to say about these stars!

It’s the battle of who is the better artist, Akon or T-Pain! Akon has been nominated for five Grammy Awards and won one America Music Award. T-Pain has been nominated for 11 Grammy Awards and won one in 2010. Now, J Randall, a singer and entertainer himself, has something to say about working with both stars!

“Akon‘s older. He’s kind of like the wise one teaching me the ways,” J tells HollywoodLife.com exclusively. “And T-Pain just feels like a best friend.”

“I was actually a little intimated at first with Akon,” J says of working with Akon to record the song “Oh La La.” “He just has a presence about him that is like bigger than life. At first, he was a little stand offish. But working with him was a great learning experience because I’m a fan of his and I was kind of in awe through the whole process.”

“T-Pain is the type of guy you meet. You have a conversation with him for about 30 seconds and you feel like you went to high school with him,” J tells us. “He’s a real warm person. He’s very approachable. He’s kind of like the life of the party. The guy attracts attention. He’s just a star. When you’re sitting around, everybody just watches the guy. He’s kind of a clown, a comedian. It was great working with T-Pain.” J and T-Pain’s song “Can’t Sleep” should be available some time next year.

The loss of Michael Jackson is never going to get easier, but this new video is an appropriate tribute to his memory!

It’s been more than a year since Michael Jackson passed away, but his memory lives on through his music. And now the music video for Michael and Akon‘s new single “Hold My Hand,” a duet recorded before Michael’s death, is finally here! It’s a beautiful tribute to Michael and all that he achieved his life.

The video opens with tons of fans crying out, “I love you, Michael,” before cutting to multiple clips of Michael performing and Akon singing.

“Hold My Hand” is the off the album Michael, which hits stores Dec. 14.

Justin Bieber, Celine Dion, Pink, the Jonas Brothers…so many random A-list artists in one video! More than 75 of the world’s most famous musicians collaborated Feb. 1 to remake Michael Jackson‘s hit single ‘We are the World’ to raise money for Haiti relief — and now we can catch an inside look behind-the-scenes of one of the most epic video shoots of all time.

“It was insane. There were five studios going on at once,” director Paul Haggis told Entertainment Tonight‘s Mary Hart of the nine-hour shoot in Los Angeles.

Quincy Jones and Lionel Richie, who both were instrumental in the original 1985 version, said they didn’t want “any of the original people” this time around because they wanted it to be about this generation. Word.

As for the divas? (Cue Babs and Celine here). Well, they acted surprisingly un-diva-like. Apparently, nobody had any issues or special requests (like only having green M&M’s in their dressing room Mariah!) – everyone checked their issues at the door, thank you very much.

‘We Are the World’ take two airs Feb. 12 during the opening ceremony of the Vancouver 2010 Winter Olympics.

The world is ready for another white rapper! Sure, we’ve got Eminem and Asher Roth, but get ready world, because Madonna is going to bust a rhyme on her upcoming twelfth studio album.

Although Her Madgesty tried to rap (kind of) once before on the ill-fated single “American Life”, maybe this time around she’ll have better results. Why? She’s going to have A-Trak, a big time electro-rap DJ, playing producer on the new CD to fuse together a new sound of rap, rock and club beats, says the New York Post.

Also reportedly on hand to help out Miz Madonna will be rock producer Brendon O’Brien, who’s worked with Bruce Springsteen and Pearl Jam. Club DJDavid Guetta, who produced the Black Eyed Peas’ hit single “I Gotta Feeling” and Akon’s “Sexy Bitch” is also rumored to be working with the Queen Bee.

Madonna, we just have one request. We know your boytoy, Jesus Luz, is a wannabe DJ these days too. Can you please, please, please leave him off your album? Otherwise, your songs – like usual – sound pretty fierce to us here at HollywoodLife.com!
