Growing up is hard — especially when you’re living in outer space, training for an impending alien invasian. That’s what Asa Butterfield‘s title character faces in Ender’s Game, a sci-fi epic hitting theaters Nov. 1. Summit Entertainment released the full trailer May 7, giving us our first look at the film’s secondary stars, including Hailee Steinfeld and Abigail Breslin. Brace yourself.

What’s better than one strong woman kicking butt? How about two! Halle Berry and an all-grown-up Abigail Breslin — seriously, she’s officially Big Mrs. Sunshine now — co-star in The Call, an intense new thriller hitting theaters March 15, and HollywoodLife.com is stoked!

Here’s the story, in a nutshell: Jordan Turner (Halle) is a 9-1-1 operator who talks a teenager named Leah Templeton (Abigail) through a harrowing nightmare, in which she must escape and take down serial killer Michael Foster (Michael Eklund.) And that doesn’t even begin to describe the 96 minutes of insanity you’re in for when you go see The Call.

Oh, and did we mention The Call comes from WWE Studios? So in case you’re wondering why the action is so intense, there’s your answer! The movie also features some of our WWE faves, including Jennifer Hudson‘s hubby David Otunga.

Abigail Breslin has won over the hearts of many in her roles as the adorable little girl in movies such as Little Miss Sunshine and Signs. But the actress who is used to being in the spotlight told us at the Janie Jones premiere hosted by American Express, that there’s a chance she might make a career switch from the silver screen to the radio waves!

Abigail admits: “I always liked singing and I’d took a few voice lessons for fun before I started filming [Janie Jones] and I heard about the movie so I took a few more. After the movie I loved doing it and it kind of inspired me to start my own band. I’m into the band right now so we’re working on an album.

As for who Abigail may want to work with musically in the future: “So many people I’d love to work with, I love Florence and the Machine and Regina Specktor.”

We’re all for Abigail following her new dream of making music! For now, we can look forward to seeing her new movie Janie Jones which is out in theaters now!

Abigail Breslin stepped out for the premiere of her latest flick in NYC on Oct. 27, where the star donned a bright neon ensemble from Nanette Leopre‘s Spring 2012 collection. While the bright color is fun for the young actress, was it a bit too bright for the end of October?

On the red carpet the majority of the stars are wearing spring looks, but they usually don’t seem out of place. Unfortunately, I can’t say the same for Abigail. I also wasn’t crazy for the proportions on the star — she looked stuffy! Sure, the midi is back in a big way, but I would’ve liked it better if she opted for a frock instad.

Three’s a trend! Stars are shedding their blonde locks for darker strands and you can go dark for summer too with these colorist tips!

Jennifer Lawrence joins Carey Mulligan and Shakira in trying on some darker hair hues. While some ladies are going brown for a role, YOU don’t need an excuse to go brunette! Keep reading to find out how to darken your ‘do for summer!

Jennifer sports her brunette strands for an appearance on The Tonight Show with David Letterman May 19. She dyed her locks for her role as Katniss Everdeen in the upcoming Hunger Games movie based on the book by Suzanne Collins. She had tough competition for the role, beating out stars like Hailee Steinfeld, Emma Roberts, and Abigail Breslin for the part.

If YOU want to darken your hair, there are a few things you need to know!

First of all, how can you go dark for the coming warm months while still looking summery and beach-ready?

According to Tracey Cunningham, Redken Creative Consultant for Color, “The key to darkening your hair and still keeping it ready for the summer months is to do soft highlights or make sure you don’t go too dark for the summer season. Look at Blake’s red, it isn’t a dark chestnut/dark cherry red that would be ready for Fall but rather it is a fun summer strawberry red that can still play with the sun!”

Angelo David, owner of the Angelo David Salon, suggests a few strategically placed highlights to keep hair looking summery.

“The trick to darken hair during the summer is to have one or two pieces in the front to be lighter than the rest,” says Angelo. “Doing so will create depth and contrast, creating a beautiful frame for your face, while looking ready to transition from spring to summer.”

Is it okay to jump right into a darker dye job?

Natasha Sunshine-Antonioni, the owner and creative director of BYU-TI Hair Therapy Salon, says that it can be, if you take the right precautions. “Prior to coloring, the hair needs to be ‘filled’ so in most cases your stylist will have to do at least two colour procedures and a couple of conditioning treatments,” says Natasha. “A common challenge when going darker is quick fading due to the hair’s porosity.”

Luckily, going from light to dark is much easier then going from dark to light!

“You have to take gradual steps when you go from dark to light to make sure you don’t compromise the integrity of the hair and damage its natural texture,” says Tracey. “Not to worry when you go from light to dark!”

Abigail is not a little girl anymore! At the premiere for her new movie Janie Jones, she told HollywoodLife.com exclusively that she’s got Bieber Fever!
