Bio:
Stephen Piscotty (born Stephen Edward Piscotty on January 14, 1991 in Pleasanton, California) is an American professional baseball player. Stephen grew up with a love for baseball, attending Stanford Cardinal games with his uncle when he was a boy. He began playing in high school, as a pitcher and shortstop, willing MVP of the East Bay Athletic League when he was a senior. Though the Los Angeles Dodgers picked Stephen in the 2009 MLB Draft, Stephen opted not to sign. Instead, he enrolled into Sanford and played for the Cardinals. In 2012, he was named an All-American and ended his college career with a .340 batting average and 12 home runs. The St. Louis Cardinals picked Stephen in the first round of the 2012 MLB Draft. After two years in the minor leagues, Stephen joined the Cardinals for their 2015 season. He scored his first hit in his debut game in July 2015 and his first homer in August. Stephen helped the Cardinals make the 2015 playoffs.

Stephen majored in atmospheric and energy engineering while attending school. He completed his Bachelor’s degree during the 2014-15 off-season. He’s a fan of country music, particularly Luke Bryan and Zac Brown. Other than baseball, he enjoys playing basketball. His favorite food is a grilled cheese and guacamole sandwich.
