“Normal” isn’t a word I would use to describe either of NBC’s comedy queens — Leslie Knope (Amy Poehler) on Parks & Recreation and Liz Lemon (Tina Fey) on the late-great 30 Rock — so I certainly wouldn’t expect either of them to sport a normal dress on their wedding day. We saw Liz tie the knot earlier this season, and on the Feb. 21 episode of Parks & Rec, we got to see Leslie swap vows with Ben (Adam Scott). Which of their unconventional get-ups did you like better?

Leslie Knope’s Wedding Dress On ‘Parks & Recreation’

Because Leslie and Ben’s wedding happened last-minute, she didn’t have a lot of time to plan — and that included shopping for a dress — so she tasked Ann (Rashida Jones) with whipping up the perfect gown.

“I was thinking the sensuality of Eleanor Roosevelt combined with the animal magnetism of Leslie Stahl,” she told Ann, which is exactly what she got.

The finished product was a dress made from all the “meaningful bills, pictures, documents and memos” from Leslie’s career, and she literally couldn’t have been more thrilled with it.

“It is the most beautiful object I’ve ever seen,” Leslie proclaimed. “It is the Ann Perkins of dresses. It is amazing.”

Liz Lemon’s Wedding Dress On ’30 Rock’

Arguably even weirder than Leslie’s newspaper dress was the Princess Leia-style dress Liz wore to her own nuptials in late 2012. Actually, scratch that, it wasn’t a Princess Leia-style dress; it was just a straight-up Princess Leia costume. The last time we saw Liz in all her Star Wars glory was when she tried to crazy her way out of jury duty back in 2008, which totally worked.

But as a wedding dress? Once again, it only worked because of the fine lady wearing it. And if there’s one thing I learned from 30 Rock, it was to accept absurdities without question. I mean, in what reality would Liz Lemon ever end up with James Marsden?

30 Rock went out with a bang! Liz Lemon (Tina Fey) got her happy ending earlier in the season by marrying hot dog vendor Criss Chross (James Marsden), but she spent the duration of the final episode on Jan. 31 rounding up the cast of TGS, a show within the show, for one last hurrah!

The ending of TGS is bittersweet. Scared of what the future holds, Liz finds herself miserable as a stay at home mom.

“It’s OK to want to work,” Criss consoled Liz. “One of us has to. We just got it backwards: You’re the dad.”

“I do like ignoring your questions while I try to watch TV,” Liz agreed, before a flash forward showed her working on a bad sitcom Grizz & Herz with her two adopted children in tow.

Jack Donaghy Resigns From Kabletown

Futhermore, as the newly minted CEO of NBC parent Kabletown, Jack Donaghy (Alec Baldwin) was facing his own crisis, receiving criticism from a treasured enemy, House Democratic Leader Nancy Pelosi, appearing in the finale as herself.

“Jack Donaghy is an economic war criminal,” Nancy declared on a cable news network. “If the Democratic Party controls Congress, I will see to it that he is punished in the worst way possible: by having to come down here and listen to us.”

Despite his joy over Nancy’s mention of his name, Jack ends up resigning from Kabletown and begins a journey to find what truly makes him happy.

The Future After ‘TGS’

Tracy Jordan (Tracy Morgan) takes Liz to a strip club, and he tries to derail the grand finale of TGS, so that no one has to say goodbye.

Producer Pete Hornberger (Scott Adsit) finally acheives his dream by disappearing without a trace.

Kenneth Parcell (Jack McBrayer) is promoted to the head of NBC, where he is pitched a new comedy series, 30 Rock! And so it comes full circle!

“There’s a reason people don’t say honest goodbyes. It’s because when stuff is coming to an end, people freak out and they act crazy,” Liz tells Tracy in the series finale. So true, so true. We feel the same way about the end of 30 Rock.

Be honest: Did you ever think you’d see 30 Rock‘s Liz Lemon say “I do,” much less to a strapping gentleman played by James Marsden?! Of course you didn’t. Ever since the NBC comedy premiered in Oct. 2006, Tina Fey‘s character has been the über single lady — and I’m not talking about the Beyoncé kind. But all the cats of the world rejoiced Nov. 29 when Liz finally walked down the aisle in a wacky wedding to remember.

Dressed like Princess Leia — a nice call-back to the time she dressed up like the Star Wars royal to get out of jury duty a few seasons ago — Liz was positively glowing as she officially became Criss’ wife.

Mazel tov, Liz! We never thought this day would come.

We may live for drama here at HollywoodLife.com, but we also enjoy the occasional giggle fit, so we’re psyched to see our favorite comedies going head-to-head Sept. 23 at the 64th annual Primetime Emmy Awards. From the old standbys like 30 Rock and Modern Family to the newcomers like Veep and Girls, we can’t wait to see which series comes out on top!

It may not stand the best chance, as Modern Family pretty much owns the Emmys, but it was hands-down our biggest comedy obsession of the past year.

Is Kim Kardashian moving on from reality TV? The 31-year-old starlet made a surprising cameo during the west coast airing of the April 26 episode of 30 Rock and it sounds like she’s eager for more.

“Anyone see 30 Rock tonight??? I had a blast!!!! Love this show!,” Kim tweeted after her guest appearance.

Kim first appeared at the beginning of episode when she walked into Jack’s office as a Cabletown coworker who needed to use the potty. Kenneth (Jack McBrayer) let her in and then Kim mouthed “thank you,” shook Jack’s hand and went on to do her business.

Later in the show, Jenna Maroney (Jane Krakowski) received a proposal from her cross-dressing boyfriend Paul (Will Forte) during the live TGS show singing Mad Men‘s “Zou Bisou Bisou,” prompting Liz Lemon (Tina Fey) to exclaim, “Wow, 2.5 million people just saw that.” In true Kardashian style, Kim popped in with her digital video recorder and quipped, “Now 14 million people just saw that. You’re welcome.”

Jon Hamm, who famously called Kim a stupid “f***ing idiot” on two separate occasions, also appeared on the episode. Despite his earlier comments, a source told TMZ that the two spoke after the show and “laughed it all off.”

Tina Fey and Jane Krakowski appeared on The Today Show to promote the new season of their hit comedy 30 Rock but first shared their experiences at Lenox Hill Hospital — no renting out entire floors for them like Beyonce’s diva birth! “We had very similar experiences,” Jane joked to Matt Lauer.

Tina said her experience was definitely not as glamourous as Beyonce’s reported million dollar renovation and luxury suite. She joked about her celeb experience was learning to breastfeed in a closet with other new moms and an ATM machine down the hall.

Matt asked Tina if she was perturbed that Beyonce had star treatment, but the comedienne said no. “I think the nurses at Lenox Hill Hospital are fantastic,” she gushed.

Jane agreed and said motherhood so far has been wonderful. “It’s the best thing ever,” she said. “It’s just awesome.”

The two also revealed that they talk babies and share pics of their adorable tots on the 30 Rock set.

Tina Fey is now a proud mommy of two girls! Her rep confirms to People.com that the comedienne, 41, and her husband Jeffrey Richmond, 51, welcomed a healthy baby girl, Penelope Athena, earlier this week.

Tina joked to Ellen DeGeneres earlier this year that she was planning on keeping the sex of the baby a secret, saying, “I’m just going to see what it chooses to wear to prom.” Well, we’re sure big sister Alice, 5, is thrilled that she now has a baby sister!

At first, Tina, who’s constantly busy working on her hit NBC show 30 Rock, was apprehensive to add another child to her family, but after much consideration she went for it — and good thing she did!
