Whitney Purvis, 21, featured on the first season of MTV’s 16 & Pregnant, hasn’t been in front of reality TV cameras for a while, but her off-screen drama is boiling over thanks to a recent arrest.

She and boyfriend Weston Gosa, 23, were arrested at their home in Georgia on Dec. 12 after someone alleged they had broken some valuable pieces of their electronics, TMZ is reporting.

According to the The Floyd County Sheriff’s Dept, the couple was arrested after a warrant was issued for their arrest. Someone filed a complaint accusing them of smashing a laptop and a cellphone. The police arrested them at their home for criminal trespassing.

Even though they were taken to the station and booked, they were each released on $1,300 bond. No word where baby Weston Jr. was during the arrest.

Another arrest for the family

This isn’t the first time Whitney has been arrested. In March of this year, she was booked for stealing a $15.98 First Response pregnancy test from a local Walmart. Wearing a hooded jacket, the 20-year-old allegedly tried sneaking out through a side door. Store security caught her and put her under citizen’s arrest until local police arrived.

Her mom, April Purvis, has also been in trouble with the law. On June 5, 2011, April was arrested for possession of marijuana and meth. At the time, Whitney told TMZ, “What my mom does, does not effect me.”

“I do not want my son to grow up how I did,” she added, and also added that she is “nothing like her parents.”

Sounds like she didn’t learn her lesson! We just hope baby Weston has a better childhood.

Jamie McKay showed the world her pregnancy and birth of daughter Miah, now 2, on MTV’s 16 & Pregnant in 2011, but the 18-year-old recently took to Twitter to reveal another pregnancy — and her decision to terminate it.

Jamie led her Twitter followers to believe she had miscarried on Nov. 1 when she shared a photo of an ultrasound with the message, “Rest in peace little angel. September 17, 2012.”

But she clarified the loss of her baby was due to an abortion, not a miscarriage.

“Thank you all for the love and support but I want you to know I did not miscarry. I chose abortion. I chose it out of fear. I feel like I made a mistake and I can’t take it back,” she wrote.

“I have had this in my heart and it has been very hard on me. I was afraid to be judged by my family, my mother, even my dad. So I did it before they could find out. I should have looked into my options more but I didn’t.”

She also made it clear that the father of her daughter Miah, Ryan McElrath, was also the father of this baby — and was extremely supportive. ”He let me make my decisions,” she said.

Jamie also added that she is now on birth control, and is thankful for those who are supportive of her choice.

MTV just wrapped the original series of Teen Mom in September, but a whole new group of moms plucked from the fourth season of 16 & Pregnant will be making their way to the small screen.

MTV will officially unveil the final cast on Nov. 3 during a taping of the Teen Mom 3 reunion in New York City with Dr. Drew. According to Onset Productions, the company that’s hosting the reunion, the ladies will discuss “new and old loves, schooling, legal situations, and their children’s terrible twos.”

Although the network hasn’t yet confirmed the four new moms, the newest group of young mothers are believed to be Briana Dejesus, Mackenzie Douthit, Katie Yeager, and Alexandria Sekella, according to Wetpaint.com.

RadarOnline confirmed Mackenzie and Alexandria back in May, but the final two spots were up for grabs — until Katie posted photos of her daughter Molli‘s first birthday to her Facebook account with visible camera crews in the background.

Briana also gave a not-so-subtle hint on social media about her future reality career. ”Don’t be mad when you start seeing more of me on ur television screen,” she wrote on Twitter.

Tears were shed and thoughtful advice was shared when the teen moms of MTV’s 16 And Pregnant opened up about their experiences to moderator Dr. Drew Pinsky.

All 12 of the girls sat down with Dr. Drew — here are some of the reunion special’s best and sometimes shocking highlights:

Life doesn’t seem much better for Briana Dejesus (pictured above) — she told Dr. Drew that she regrets giving up her youth to have her baby girl, Nova. Briana says baby daddy Devoin ”wasn’t the dad he’s supposed to be” and doesn’t help out emotionally or financially.

Cage fighter Lindsey Harrison was immediately in tears when revisiting the rough period in her life. Lindsey and her boyfriend Forest are still together have learned their lesson after accidentally having baby Aniyah, saying they are being “so careful” with birth control and are using condoms. Isn’t that great to hear? Well, great until we get an update from…

…Mackenzie Douthit, who is still cheerleading and her cowboy baby daddy Josh is still riding bulls after having little Gannon together. In a shocking revelation, Mackenzie says she still doesn’t use birth control because she doesn’t like it! It seems like not all the moms have learned their lesson.

Kristina Robinson, who arguably had the saddest story of the teen moms because she could hardly cope with her fiancé Todd‘s death when he disappeared off the Texas coast, seems to be doing a lot better. Apparently, her NEW fiancé T.J. is helping out with raising Kristina’s son, Lukas. Anyone else raise their eyebrows at that point too?

Alex Sekella‘s ex-boyfriend Matt could not attend the show because he is still in recovery from his addictions. Dr. Drew (who came off a little too condescending at times) told Matt over the phone that he seriously needs to address his drug and alcohol problems before he can see his daughter Arabella. Though it was addressed in her episode, Alex currently has no plans to put Arabella on adoption.

Let’s end with some good news: The now happily engaged Myranda Trevino shared that she now has a better relationship with her estranged mother, who we saw had drug and alcohol addictions on their episode. Yay!

At the end of the special, all 12 of the teen moms came on the stage and they got to ask each other questions. The single moms were asked about how they have been able to raise their kids on their own, admitting it’s hard but many have help from their families.

As a touching end note, all of their adorable babies were brought on the stage! It’s amazing to see how big some of them have gotten!

Devon from last week’s episode was lucky enough to have her baby’s father in their life, but that’s not the case for all teen moms. Kristina Robinson’s fiancé and baby daddy John ‘Todd’ Jr. drowned while swimming off the coast of Galveston, Texas.

At age 16, life was great for the Dewberry, Texas teen. Kristina was about to go to prom and was happily in love and engaged to her high school sweetheart, Todd. But everything changed after a summer trip to the coast when a riptide pulled them both down. Kristina was saved but Todd did not survive.

The episode was filmed three months after the incident when Kristina was six months pregnant. Still wearing her engagement ring, Kristina hasn’t been able to let go of the memory of Todd and bottles up her emotions. She feels like no one understands her, including her own mother, Kim. Todd’s mother, Tina, is concerned that if she doesn’t open up, the stress of her emotions would cause trouble in her pregnancy.

And just like she predicted, at seven months pregnant, Kristina faces horrible contractions and has to go to the hospital. Once there, her doctor recommends that she stay in the hospital for the remainder of her pregnancy to make sure her baby is born healthy.

Feeling more alone than ever, Kristina opens up to her family during a visit. At a devastating point she says, “I’m tired of hurting. I’m tired of [Todd] not being here. I just want him. And I can’t stop. It’s not fair.”

After being in the hospital for a month and a half, the doctor says her baby can come out via C-section. Her baby boy, Lukas Todd, was born six weeks early weighing 3 lbs. 3 oz. Baby Lukas looks just like daddy — a bittersweet realization for the whole family. However, Lukas has to stay in intensive care for three weeks until he develops a bit more.

Back home without her baby, Kristina feels even more vulnerable: “I feel like I’m breaking, I feel like I can’t hold anything together. [Todd] would love that baby so much. I just want them both here.”

When Kristina finally brings little Lukas home, she realizes what it’s like to be a mom. She has to bathe, feed, and feels exhausted from not getting any sleep.

At a turning point, Kristina decides to go to a counselor to deal with her inner turmoil. Her counselor, Janna, allows the teen to face her grief and commits to helping her heal. At the end of the episode, Kristina finally lets herself move on and believes that things will be looking up for her and her baby.

Unlike last week’s episode with Sarah, Devon Broyles has a loving and responsible boyfriend, Colin. After the couple welcomed beautiful Landon Levi, the couple plan their future together searching for a new house.

The Richmond, Virginia teen fell in love with her boyfriend after he had just returned from his service in Iraq. Devon is 16 and her boyfriend Colin is four years older. The couple had been together for eight months when Devon got pregnant. Although Devon said she was practicing safe sex, she believes she got pregnant when she switched from the pill to NuvaRing. Remarkably, she didn’t realize she was pregnant until she was five months along because she didn’t notice any symptoms.

It’s good to know that Devon not only has a supportive boyfriend, she also has a very tight-knit family. Devon lives at home with her boyfriend and many of her family members including two sisters, one brother, her mother, and four dogs. In fact, her older sister Jane was also a teen mom at 17 and was able to give Devon advice on how she would be able to juggle everything in her life with a baby.

It’s seen throughout the episode that Devon is a determined young woman. She still wants to finish high school, eventually go to college, and find a job in medicine. Instead of dropping out, Devon returned to school her senior year when she was seven months along. She admitted school was hard and received stares from other kids.

The full and crowded house becomes a source of contention for the couple. Colin is dead set on moving out because he wants privacy, but they both know they aren’t in the position to afford it. Even though Colin makes enough money with his warehouse job, he said he wants “to be able to buy the things for the baby and pay the bills.” He said he could rejoin the military to make ends meet — he doesn’t want his growing family to struggle for money. Devon, however, is more concerned with the present. “I just don’t want you to go away,” she says.

The moving-out-talk was tabled when an astonishingly calm Devon goes into labor. Naturally, her calm visage wore off after the long hours of labor take a toll on the teen and she requests an epidural. After 12 hours of labor, it was finally time to push. She gave birth to a beautiful baby boy, Landon Levi, weighing 6 lbs. 10 oz.

After Landon was brought home, we find out Colin has to pick up extra shifts at his job to make money. While he’s at work, Devon takes care of Landon and studies for her G.E.D. The couple have been so busy that they haven’t had the time to talk about moving out, but when they finally do, they realize they desperately need a place of their own.

When baby Landon is one-month old, the couple seriously look into buying a house together. They even meet with brokers and find out they are pre-approved to get a new home, so they go looking for potential nests. But in a very unfortunate turn of events, Colin gets laid off and their dream of moving out is put on hold. “I feel like I’m failing,” said Colin to his girlfriend and baby.

Due to zero luck with the job hunt, their realtor breaks the bad news that the fact that they have no job means they cannot look for houses.

In the end of the episode, they seem lost. Even when Colin says he wants to go to firefighter school and have a job at the same time, Devon counters that he’ll never be home and she won’t be able to have time for herself.

“You’re always going to make sacrifices when you’re a teen mom,” she said.

At the end of the episode, Devon breaks down: “I just want to be able to be a teenager. It’s definitely hard.”
