Just in time for all of our Fourth of July plans, celebrity manicurist Michelle Saunders teamed up with Essie to create a red, white and blue manicure that’s perfect for the nail art novice. Before you start gathering your polishes, invest in a nail dotting tool, like this five-piece set by Cheeky, which lets you choose from 10 different dot sizes.
1) Start by applying the Essie All In One Base Coat to your nails and let it dry.
2) For an opaque white base, apply two thin coats of Essie Nail Polish in Coconut Cove, allowing each coat to dry fully.
3) Using the small end of a dotting tool, start near the cuticle and apply a line of dots up the nail with Essie Nail Polish in Midnight Cami, gradually increasing the size of the dots as you go.
5) With your nail art dry, set the look with a coat of Essie Gel Setter Top Coat.
