The actress donned a dress straight out of a storybook at the ‘Maleficent’ premiere in Japan, but was it fabulously feminine or a total fashion fail? VOTE and tell us what you think of Elle’s dress!
Elle Fanning, 16, wore a billowing off-white Alexander McQueen gown at the premiere of Maleficent in Japan on June 23 at Ebisu Garden Place. This statement-making dress certainly fit the fairytale theme of her character, but was it too over the top?
Elle Fanning’s ‘Maleficent’ Premiere Lace Dress — Pretty Princess Gown In Japan:
Elle is definitely a star on the rise, and is quickly becoming the face of young Hollywood! She seems to be taking after her older sister, Dakota Fanning, by making a name for herself at a very young age. While Elle is a gifted actress, is her red carpet style as praiseworthy?
Her flowing frock featured yards of subtly-printed fabric that ended with a feathered trim that hit the floor. It had a lower neckline than we are used to seeing on the actress that was tied together with a bow. We loved the little details all over the gown, but we aren’t sure if it was the right choice for Elle.
While the dress was a whimsical choice for the Malificent star, the color seemed to wash her out completely, and the cut didn’t do much for her figure. Though the fabric was beautiful, her tiny frame was completely lost in all of the ruffles!
Elle wore shimmering eye shadow and sported natural-looking lips and plenty of blush, an appropriately youthful look! Her tousled blonde locks framed her face, bringing out her doll-like features.
The Super 8 actress has been promoting her new movie, Maleficent, and has worn an array of gorgeous dresses while doing so. In most of her gowns, Elle is only a tiara short of being a real-life Disney princess, proving that she was a brilliant choice for the role!
While we love that she is confident enough to take fashion risks at such a young age, we can’t decide what we think of this dress! Is her look stunning or way too dramatic?
