Don't Know What To Wear To Work? Take A Cue From These Conservative Chic Celebs & Get The Look!

Take a look at the a-listers that are pros when it comes to making their conservative clothing look cute and get the look with our picks below!

Before I started my first internship in college, my mother went out and bought me slacks and cardigans with matching shells — yet by my second day of work I was in jeans like the rest of the staff. Luckily my job doesn’t require me to wear a pantsuit everyday and while I consider myself fortunate (suits aren’t exactly my thing) I know the majority of women are required to wear super conservative clothes to work. Many of my friends cringe at the thought of shopping for new clothes for their 9-5 jobs, but just because you’re abiding by a dress code doesn’t mean you can’t still look stylish!

Take a cue from celebs like Reese Witherspoon, Anne Hathaway, and Jennifer Garner — while each lady has her own personal sense of style, when they have an important meeting or a luncheon they stick to something more classic and still manage to look so chic. With blazers, pencil skirts, and even pantsuits showing up on the red carpet you don’t have to feel dowdy in your get-ups. I think it’s all about the silhouette — make sure the jacket you decide on or the pair of pants is perfectly tailored to flatter your figure. And, just because you’re sticking to a dress code doesn’t mean you can’t add stubble accessories like a skinny belt or a bracelet to your get-up. I also recommend moving away from gray and black — dark purple, navy, and even olive green are nice options for breaking up the basic color scheme.
