Vampire Diaries Afterthoughts: Can You Believe Katherine Is Hooking Up With Mason? Good News For Stefan & Elena Fans!

I was scared (werewolves!), sympathetic (poor Caroline!) and shocked (that skank Katherine!) by Oct. 7′s genius episode.

Did I or did I not tell you tonight’s episode would be a game-changer? Because it was — in every sense of the word. Now, Katherine (Nina Dobrev) is hooking up with werewolf Mason Lockwood (Taylor Kinney), Caroline’s (Candice Accola) mom knows she’s a vampire, and Elena has decided to feed Stefan (Paul Wesley) her blood. … Wait, that’s actually kind of a bummer for fans of Elena and Damon (Ian Somerhalder) getting together. I know it’s a knee-jerk reaction, but I think it’s fair to say… best episode yet?

More ‘bites’ from Oct. 7:

  1. Is there anyone Nina hasn’t gotten to hook up with on this show? After tonight’s episode, she’ll have gotten hot and heavy with Paul, Ian and Taylor. Did I miss anyone?
  2. Caroline is my absolute favorite character. She was fun as a human, but as a vampire she’s so much more fun!
  3. I’m really appreciating how fast this show moves! So much has happened this season in just five episodes. It makes me realize how slow True Blood is.

I really don’t get why people are hard on Mason for falling for Katherine…Damon did the same thing 140+ years ago. It’s not like it’s really any different.

Of course, I don’t like them together. Katherine is just using the poor guy. I do think she really “loves” Stefan, though. In her mind I think she really does believe that she loves him. But she’s crazy and evil, which serves as a road block.

Really great episode! In my top 5, definitely!

Oh come on !
In 4 epi, katherine said that she’s really love stefan so.
really fallin in love with Stefan.

And suddenly she’s hooking up with mason ???
Seriously , mason ?
Its just part of plan , she loooove play a game
And she did it right now .
Katherine was such a bitchy big fat liar , don’t ya think ? ;)
Good job for TVD cast and fam , the best tv show ever I think. <3

I had a hunch Mason and Katherine were working together, but was suprised they were so intimate. At the end of the day, Katherine does not love anyone but herself. Damon needs to be the one to stake her before the end of the season. There is no doubt Mason is a dead werewolf, Damon is going to kill him for sure now. Totally in Damon’s camp and hope for a Damon/Elena romance very soon.

I too love this episode of TVD. I think as this season goes on it continues to get better. This season is progressing way faster then season 1 did that’s for sure.I can’t believe that Katherine is with Mason, or so he thinks. Katherine has everyone under control, can’t wait for things to get found out. Am I the only one who thinks that Mason’s nephew is going to be more powerful then he is and possibly help Damon and Stephen at getting Katherine back. Can’t wait for the next ep. Gatta love TVD!

I have a theory. I think that Jeremy might let Tyler “kill” him so that he can become a werewolf if he wants. This is great because he can accidentally hurt/kill someone for a little while and easily become a werewolf while Jeremy lives because of his ring. However can’t Tyler already be becoming one since he was driving the car that Caroline was in when she got hurt, then killed by Katherine? Just something to think about. I also think that Tyler’s crazy is way more then Mason’s, he might be the only one who can take him down.

Mason is so stupid, Katherine is def mind controlling him, she was the one who got him to become a werewolf. Katherine is such an evil genius. I love that she is always 10 steps ahead of everyone. I bet that even if they kill her, if they can, she will have already had things set in place to keep her torture alive.

I can’t wait to see what happens next, so sad we have to wait TWO weeks..ahhh. IDK if I can do it.lol. I wants TVD and Damon/Ian, now!

I agree with you Katherine is a psycho and does need to die too… I think that she is using Mason the same way that she always uses men but of course they are too stupid to see it but Stefan & Damon couldn’t see it either though… I actually do know women like her that have no supernatural powers but still manage to twist men around their fingers… I am still team Damon but I want him to be with someone that hasn’t been with his brother already though… I am especially rooting for Bonnie & Damon because if Buffy & Spike could happen and they did, then Bonnie & Damon could follow in their steps too because if anyone remembers they started out as enemies as well…
