BONNIE SAYS: ‘Sister Wives’ Polygamist Husband Kody Brown — Country’s Biggest Con Man & Bad Dad!

Posted Mon, September 27, 2010 10:45am EDT

Kody Brown, ‘husband’ of four dopey women and father of 13, and the star of TLC’s new ‘Sister Wives’ show, is such a cute, friendly huggy-bear of a man, you can absolutely see how he could convince self-esteem-less women to feel lucky to join his harem.

Kody, 42, looks and sounds like a totally “awesome” surfer dude, who uses the word “awesome” a lot, and he dispenses hugs so freely that I would get a hug if I were in his vicinity… even after writing this.

But no matter what his four wives — three blondes and one brunette — say, they are getting “screwed,” both literally and figuratively. Kody gets to make the bed-rounds between his concubines (they have a schedule) so he can spread his body and sperm around. But come on — conventional one-to-one husbands and wives, with kids, get barely enough time to talk, get intimate and bond.

How much real bonding can you get with a husband whose time you share with three other women? And what if your one-quarter man is “tired” on “your “night? And how can one man — even as seemingly warm as Kody Brown — truly love four different women equally? How can there be absolutely no jealousy, rivalry and drama among these women? It’s just not possible – honestly, it goes against human nature. Or should I say, female nature. Any woman out there want to disagree?

The only way that his four wives – Meri, 39, Janelle, 40, Christine, 37, and Robyn, 31 — can possibly stand it, though they don’t admit it on the show and no doubt don’t even admit it to themselves, is that they don’t think they’re “worthy” of having a loving, devoted husband all to themselves.

Inside, they must feel like total zeros. That’s why they’re grateful to have, at best, a 25-percent-partner.

As for Kody, the advertising executive claims that it’s his “version” of the Mormon faith that led him to polygamy. That’s hogwash.

Kody, you’re just a horndog using religion to sleep with four different willing female bodies. No wonder you look like a “pig in s**t” — you are one! You’re thrilled that youconned four women into bedding you, cooking and cleaning for you — and bearing your children.

Your “faith” is hands-down disrespectful to women, since they are the multiples. If women could head a polygamist family and take multiple husbands, at least that wouldn’t be discriminatory.

And as for your children: You’re telling your daughters they should be handmaidens to a man like you, not deserving of a loving one-on-one relationship of equality with a man. And to your sons, you’re saying this: Either you can be the big man of your own house with multiple subservient women, or creepier yet, you are competition to me. What I mean is that a polygamist like Kody feels entitled to keep preying on, ahem, taking on new wives — most probably younger and younger ones, like fourth wife, Robyn.

At some point, he’ll be competing with his own sons for women. In many polygamist families, sons are tossed out once they become sexual competition to their fathers.

So Kody, you may look cuddly but what you’re spouting is a crock!

What do you think, ladies?

I have watched the show and feel sorry for the women and children in this family. They are being used to promote the ego of this poor excuse for a man who wants to be God and master to his brood.

I enjoy the show Sister Wives. There believes are there own and there not hurting anyone. They hold down jobs and pay there taxes and are not on public assistants. They seem to have a happy family life without divorce looming over them. They have a family. It is not for anyone else to decide how they should live there lives. It was a bold step for them to share with the public. If it works for them I say go for it.

First, let me say that I have never understood polygamy. All I ever thought of polygamist were what I had seen with Warren Jeff’s group and the ones in Texarkana. Throughout history, there have been polygamists but are usually referred to as Harems. When I saw this show was to be aired, I admit, I was really curious.
I still do not understand why someone would choose this way of living but I do have respect for this family. If you watched the shows, their children have the choice as to how they choose to live as adults. They are willing to love their children even if they choose not to be in a polygamist marriage. These 4 women married this man as adults not as forced 14-15 yr old brides. I could probably judge these people just like the next person but I am too busy educating myself on religions of the world, life, philosophy, human nature and figuring/feeling what is right for me to go there. If these children feel love, have someone to turn to in their times of need and the adults are supporting the family in whatever way that works for them; and, are not living of govt assistance like some polygamist do, then I wish them the best.
I hope the ones that are quick to judge are innocent of faults themselves. I can’t tell someone how to live when I am figuring it out for myself.

Naughtarius, I think you have it backwards: Bonnie’s point of view is a typical Conservative one, not a Liberal one. Liberals believe in diversity and “live-and-let-live”. Conservatives believe in control of others lives and conformity or they will attack you until their wear you down, such as Bonnie does above.

LIBERALS…. LIVE AND LET LIVE. REALLY? THEY BELIEVE IN DIVERSITY ONLY WHEN THEY AGREE WITH IT.
NOW TO KODY. THIS IS A SOULS ETERNITY WE ARE DISCUSSING HERE…. VERY SERIOUS BUSINESS.
IF YOU UNDERSTOOD EVEN A LITTLE ABOUT THE MORMON BELIEFS YOU MAY…. OR MAY NOT …. HAVE A DIFFERENT OUTLOOK.
FIRST OF ALL, KODY’S “WORKS OF RIGHTEOUSNESS”….AS BELIEVED BY MORMON TEACHING… WILL HELP HIM TO “PROGRESS” INTO BEING A “GOD” HIMSELF. HIS WIVES WILL BECOME A “GODDESS” AND THEY WILL BE ETERNALLY PREGNANT DELIVERING KIDS ON KODY’S OWN PERSONAL PLANET. ALL HIS EARTHLY KIDS, THE KIDS HE HAS NOW, ARE BODIES FOR THE “SPIRIT BABIES” HIS “GOD” IS PROCREATING EVEN AS WE SPEAK. BY THE WAY, “GOD” WAS A MAN WHO HAS EVENTUALLY PROGRESSED INTO A GOD HIMSELF.
IF YOU DON’T BELIEVE THIS…. LOOK IT UP. YOU MUST HAVE A COMPUTER AND THE INTERNET. LOOK UP KOLOB…. THE MORMON MASTER PLANET. READ THE OTHER TEACHINGS.
KODY WILL EVENTUALLY “PROGRESS”….AT LEAST BY THE MORMON BELIEF SYSTEM…. AND, IF FOUND WORTHY, HE WILL BECOME A “GOD”.
KODY’S DESIRE, THROUGH HIS FAITH, IS TO BE A GOD…. HIS PASSION FOR NOW IS TO EXALT AND SATISFY HIMSELF UNTIL THIS “PROPHESY” IS FULLFILLED IN HIS FUTURE LIFE.
THE ADULTS HAVE MADE THEIR DECISION TO LIVE THIS WAY. THE KIDS ARE THE REAL VICTIMS HERE. THE KIDS MAY OR MAY NOT BELIEVE IN THIS LIFE STYLE… HOWEVER THEY ARE TRAPPED. I DO HOPE THEY, THE KIDS, EVENTUALLY SEE IT FOR WHAT IT IS…. DEMEANING TO WOMEN AND KIDS…. WITH NARCISSISTIC SELF ABSORBED MEN FULL OF LUST. ITS ALL ABOUT KODY AND HIS HAPPINESS. HE ACTS LIKE AN 18 YEAR OLD BOY WITH NO SEXUAL CONSTRAINTS. WOW, DOES ANYONE ELSE SEE KODY IN THIS LIGHT?
THEY PROBABLY DO LOVE THEIR KIDS VERY MUCH, AS ALL GOOD PARENTS DO, AND WANT WHAT IS BEST FOR THEM. THE PARENTS SEEM TO HAVE GIVEN THE KIDS OPPORTUNITY TO MAKE “SOME” DECISIONS THEMSELVES. HOWEVER, I BELIEVE THEIR DECISIONS NEED TO COMPLY WITH KODY’S VISION FOR KODY’S FUTURE.
IN SUMMARY, HE IS, AT BEST, ONE-FOURTH OF A HUSBAND AND DAD.

All of you with your “understanding” opinions need to get real! Regardless if these women “like” their lifestyle or not, which we know clearly that everyone is not happy because wife #1 expressed that. She said some days are better than others and she was having some insecurities about the 4th wife…but she deals with it. And it’s obvious that she cares dearly for this pig of a man because if she didn’t her and her ONE DAUGHTER would not be there. Seriously, “to each his own” yes I get it and I believe that, but it isn’t at all right in this society, in this era or any era for that matter, and emotionally AND financially unstable for EVERY DAMN BODY. No matter the set up how could you connect and bond with one man when he is spreading his loins with THREE other women. That’s just sick. Not sure why they would welcome themselves into such an odd arrangement…have you seen their home??? My goodness. He may love them all but no…no, no, no…How arrogant and self-centered can a man be. But you know what, these women had a choice…smh

I do have to say you must never have watched the show. Along with showing no respect to the family and their beliefs. All of the children speak regularly of going off to college, the family talks about how they would like all the children to get a degree in something, what ever they choose. One daughter speaks of wanting to go to beauty school and also how she only wants to have only one husband, she has talked about it several times. While another daughter speaks of wanting to join the navy and go into the medical field. Kody and her mother talk of how they feel they need to get her into an accredited public school as so she has the best chances of fufilling her dream of getting into the navy school. Before you start to tear apart a family and their beliefes you should watch the show and see how their family actually works.

Yurtgirl,
You are such an idiot…How can you even assume this is a good lifestyle just for the simple fact that you are going to have multiple babysitters at your disposal… So stupid!!!! HIre a babysitter instead of having your man marry multiple wives just to have a babystitter at your disposal… Geez

I couldn’t agree with the author more, but it’s not just Kody teaching his daughters that all they’re good for is child-bearing & waiting on their future husbands. The “mothers” are doing it as well. I really don’t care about the marriage itself, do your own thing. It’s just none of it is fair to the kids. They didn’t get a choice in any of it & they’re going to have to deal with their parents choices when it comes to other people & judgments that get passed. The only way they could get around it is by lying about where they come from.

I have to say what really strikes me about the show is that these women dont mind their husband having sex with three other women? I have trouble with that. And I have trouble with the way he talks about himself. For example, “I try to make sure they all have equal time with me,” not I try to spend equal time with each of them. Its all about ME. The man likes variety. And what exactly constitutes cheating in this lifestyle? Or is their such a thing. If he meets a woman he wants then its not cheating its “multiplying love.” What I find so sad and obvious is that wife #1 truly loves this guy to death and I just think she loves him so much that she is willing to share him if thats the only way she can be with him. Its sad and then theres the issue of the kids….wow, I dont even know where to begin on that one.

I could not get through this article. I was so disturbed by this author’s ability to discern anything about a polygamous lifestyle much less a monogamous one. To stereo type any sort of relationship without experiencing the absolute truth of one is too judgmental. Perhaps Bonnie just needs to have the best of both life styles before she decides to write an article such as this. So opinionated. Ah, the voice of foolish youth.

Do any of you ever consider that these people are happy with their life. Think about this. In a home with 1 man and 2 women…. When you and your husband want to go out on a date you don’t have to worry about dinner or a babysitter you have one. When one wife is sick the other can care for the kids. When one wife has a child the other wife can care for the other children and let her sleep and take care of the newborn. When you want to just go to your room and be alone you can. When you have things to do but don’t want to leave all the kids with the Hubby you can. Even better when the husband works and you have to run errands during the day… amazing you again have this extra person to help out so you don’t have to drag 5 kids all around town with you. There are some down sides… you do have to sleep alone half the time. There is jealousy, the is conflict. But those exists in any Monogamous relationship. The benefit here is that when you have an issue with your husband you have someone to talk to who really understands EXACTLY what you are talking about. As for the children… In this day and age of broken families and one parent homes this gives the kids an amazing advantage. They aren’t missing out like most children these days on the contrary they have more parents and more love than anyone else. I consider children growing up in this relationship lucky.

This is assuming that there are no acts of rape, underage marriage, abuse, or neglect going on which is the real problem in the world not the polygamy.

None of our opinions really matter to this family, they feel they are above all, including the law. My heart goes out to the children, they have no say. It is obvious they are told how to feel and what to say. I wonder where the Ex-husband of the three (step children)is, if he was any man at all and took his role as a father serious, he would go and protect his children. I feel if they want this lifestyle,, fight to get the laws changed.

What happens if one of the wives becomes unhappy and disallusioned? Only one ‘wife”can legally divorce,so are the other women covered by any law? What happens to her children?
Wouldn’t you like to be the judge to decide that ‘divorce’ settlement?
Wouldn’t it be funny if they all had PMS at the same time? It might look like Mr Brown has the world by the tail, but imagine if those women all decided they were not in agreement with him , and rebelled– OHHH — let’s get that on tape—one man vs 4 pissed off women—– let the games begin !!!!!

The author of this article has blinders on; this site seems to hire people with little insight.

Not all women want the same things; these women like the setup they have. There are women who do not want to service/have sex with their man as much as the man wants, so situations like this work for them.

We could say they didn’t stand a chance because of their upbringing but they know better they work with normal “Worldly” women who Im sure had tried to tell them how discusting this man and situation is!!!! They go on and on how Kody deserves this and that!!!! What about them???? Dont they deserve to have a loving monogamist relationship or sex with multiple partners???all Im saying is these kind of situations are WRONG!!!!!and unfair to women!!!!

I am so sick of polygamist sect’s spouting off, that it’s their interpretation of the LDS church. Mormon did the book, the religion is called Latter Day Saints. I mean really Kody, if you’re going to spout off saying it’s your interpretation of it at least you could get the name of the religion right! Besides, the LDS church doesn’t condone polygamy. And if you’re going to follow the religion you’re are suppose to follow the teachings of the current prophet, which last time I checked polygamy was still a no no. I am not by any means an LDS expert, but I know that this crap isn’t tolerated in their religion, and quite frankly it’s tiresome to explain to ignorant people constantly, that the LDS religion doesn’t allow polygamy because of buttheads like this dufus, living in Utah and being a polygamist. I wonder if his new wife is from Kingman, AZ. I think there is a polygamist sect down there. Anyway, I am a man and I still think your an A##!!

If you knew your history at all you would know that the religion included polygamy from the beginning. The only reason the church denounced polygamy was when Wilford Woodruff was president of the church and wanted to gain statehood for Utah. This was the 1890 manifesto. The FLDS actually stuck to the original religion and didn’t change their belief system to make the rest of the country happy. I have no issues with polygamy. The only problem in some of these situations is when there is child abuse, neglect, or rape involved. We live in a country with religious freedom. That means ALL religions not just the ones the general public chooses to except.

Please do your research on the beginnings and end of the practice of polygamy within the Mormon church. It was not simply for statehood that the practice was stopped. It was much more involved than that. The Manifesto was a letter by Wilford Woodriff that declared the church no longer taught or encouraged polygamy. This has been the official church doctrine for over a century. This does not mean that at some point the practice would not begin again. They give Biblical reasons for this. Their were practical reasons for the beginnings of polygamy, and equally compelling reasons for the end of this practice. In many other religions polygamy, was sanctioned at one time but the practice was ended. The issues of child abuse, either sexual or physical is an issue with many of those practicing polygamy today. Consequently the scrutiny of polygamous families is not an abridgment of religious freedom. Lastly it is illegal for anyone to engage in the practice of polygamy in the U.S.

No Amy, Yurtgirl is right. The end of polygamy was completely about gaining Statehood, nothing more.

And she is right, religious freedom means freedom for ALL religions, not just yours.
