Kendall and Kylie Jenner may just be 16 and 14-years-old, but the youngest sisters in the Kardashian family have quickly become comfortable with being in the spotlight. In the latest issue of Teen Vogue, the girls talk about their personal sense of style, their favorite subjects in school and how they handle the spotlight, while their older sisters weigh in on the gals.
“They call me Cheer Mom,” Kendall says of her friends on the squad, “because when we make those big banners for football games, I’m the one to say, ‘Do this, do that; use this color, use that color.’ Not, like, in a mean way. But I just like things in order. I’m a perfectionist.” “She [acts] like [she’s] my mom, I swear,” Kylie says, rolling her eyes. “This morning, she walks in and goes, ‘Make sure you’re up.’ I’m like, Kendall, I’m up! I get it.” Kendall continues: “I’m already a mom to her. She goes out with her friends, and I know what she’s doing. I know she’s gonna go hang out with all her little boyfriends….”
“They are so down-to-earth,” says Kim. “It’s just who they are, and they will never change.” Adds Kourtney: “We keep each other grounded. Doing it as a family helps keep everyone real.”
“I don’t let them look at blogs,” older sis Khloé says. “They are toxic. Kendall and Kylie are like my babies. I literally raised them, and I make sure I’m still very involved in their lives. I have access to all of their social media outlets. They are not allowed to have Twitter or Facebook unless I have the password. I’m very protective, but in doing that they also feel like they can talk to me about anything, and they do.”
“I like to be comfortable and casual,” Kendall says. “I’m more laid-back than Kylie. In school, I’ll wear jeans, a sweatshirt, and Uggs, and she’ll wear, like, this whole ensemble that she put together the night before.”
“I feel like a shopaholic,” Kylie admits. “When I come home with a new bag of stuff, oh my god, it feels so good.” Says Kim of their style: “Kylie is more rocker, and Kendall is more tomboyish.”
