Which glam gal did you think was best dressed at the awards?
Our favorite stars from True Blood, Twilight, the Vampire Diaries and more turned up for Spike TV’s Scream Awards in LA on Oct. 16 and they didn’t disappoint! I was so impressed with the get-ups we saw on the red carpet and thought the dresses were so refreshing — from Kristen Stewart to Blake Lively, the carpet was full of interesting looks!
I don’t want to be redundant and re-state my admiration for Blake, but I can’t help it. While some may think her Lanvin spring 2011 frock was questionable, I was super impressed with her choice. Lately, the star has put her famous assets (her gravity-defying boobs) away, yet that didn’t stop her from showing off her gorgeous gams. She opted to pair the dress with the same leather studded sandals and slicked back ‘do the model worked on the runway and while most stars would fall flat of trying to re-create a look, she sure didn’t! I was impressed with how she really owned it and exuded confidence, although I’m sure she knows that with her flawless figure and keen sense of style it’s hard for her to look bad, especially on the red carpet.
While I’m not the biggest K-Stew fan, ever since the Eclipse promotional tour I’ve been blown away with her red carpet get-ups. I thought she looked phenomenal in her asymmetrical Guishem mini and Giuseppe Zanotti pumps — she’s definitely one of my favorites from the night! The look was perfect for the occasion, and she looked lovely accepting her Best Fantasy Actress award.
Kristen’s co-star Nikki Reed was another Twilight-er who took a break from filming Breaking Dawn for the awards show. The star has been looking very sexy lately, yet for this carpet she showed off a different side in a flirty one-shoulder alice + olivia frock. Like K-Stew, over the past year she’s really impressed me on the carpet.
Nina Dobrev was another stylish star on my best dressed list. Rocking one of the season’s biggest trends, a long-sleeved mini, she looked gorgeous in the jersey v-neck dress by Rock & Republic and Diesel’s Ava sandals. While black usually bores me on the red carpet, this definitely wasn’t your basic LBD. She paired the look with a clutch, also from the brand.
True Blood‘s Anna Paquin seems to only step out in Alexander McQueen dresses, so it was no surprise to see her work another look from his collection at the awards show. This time she opted for a pre-fall 2010 dress, complete with fluted skirt. She paired it with one of the designer’s covetable clutches, bangles, and Brian Atwood maniac pumps.
Ever since the Emmy’s, Kelly Osbourne has really stepped up her style — especially on the red carpet. Whether it has to do with her new gig on Fashion Police or her petite frame, the star and her stylist rarely disappoint! While Nina worked a long-sleeved mini, Kelly showed off another popular trend this season — lace! She tucked her top into a polka-dot Dolce & Gabbana skirt. While I liked the flirty look, I wasn’t a fan of the bright lipstick.
Kelly wasn’t the only star to show off lace on the carpet — Emma Roberts also worked the trend! I loved her super-short one-shoulder mini, although I wish her accessories were more interesting. I also would have liked to see her kick up her makeup routine.
While K-Stew, Nina, and Blake were by far my faves, who did you think was best dressed last night?
