Which horrible incident shocked you the most?
We were shocked earlier this week when The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Russell Armstrong decided to take his own life, but sadly, he's not the first reality TV star to meet a tragic end. Browse our gallery of reality TV tragedies and tell us which one shocked you the most.
Ryan Jenkins, a contestant on VH1′s I Love Money 3, was the only suspect in the murder of his wife, Jasmine Fiore. Ryan, 32, was found hanged in a Canadian hotel in Aug. 2009.
Paula Goodspeed, 30, was found dead of an apparent pill overdose in Nov. 2008, with her car parked just a few blocks from Paula Abdul's home in Los Angeles. Along with being a crazed Paula Abdul fan, she was also (very briefly) a contestant on American Idol. CDs and photos of Paul Abdul were found on her person.
Kellie McGee's sister was a contestant on ABC's Extreme Makeover. After her sister's plastic surgery was canceled, she returned home, and Kellie allegedly was distraught by the whole ordeal. She was found dead of a drug overdose four months later, and her family sued ABC for damages.
Former Bachelorette contestant Julien Hug, 35, committed suicide in Nov. 2010, citing “acute depression” in his parting note.
Joseph Cerniglia, who appeared on an en episode of Kitchen Nightmares, jumped to his death from NYC's George Washington Bridge in Sept. 2010. Ironically, Chef Gordon Ramsey had told Joseph on the show that his business was about to “swim down the Hudson.”
Hell's Kitchen contestant Rachel Brown, 41, was found dead in her home in May 2007, following her appearance on the show.
The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills star Russell Armstrong, ex-husband of Taylor Armstrong, hanged himself Aug. 14, just weeks before the show's second season was set to debut on Bravo.
