From The Runway To Real Life: How To Wear Spring’s Casual Cuffed Jeans

Posted Wed, March 16, 2011 9:00am EDT

Not only did we see the trend on the runway for spring, but some of our fave a-listers have started rolling up their jeans for a casual chic look. SHOP for a pair of pants that work for you & read on if you want to work the trend.

Everyone has their go-to pair of jeans, but more and more stars are rolling up their pants and embracing the cuffed jeans look. When the weather gets warmer, it’s a nice way to lighten up the look of heavy denim — and it’s a great way to show off a new pair of flats or sandals! Everyone from Kim Kardashian, Reese Witherspoon, and Megan Fox are working the trend — find out how you can too!

I like the ease of a loose-fitting boyfriend jean cuffed up, but I know the style isn’t for everyone. If you don’t think a loose pair of jeans is flattering on you, wearing a snug pair like Megan Fox (in James skinny jeans) or Rachel Bilson also works. I think a very light-weight knit sweater (or even a cardigan), like the longer one Elle Fanning is wearing, is the best way to compliment the look. Paired with flats or sandals depending on the occasion (and your comfort level!) cuffed up jeans are a great way to add a light spring look to your wardrobe.

Since it’s all about comfort and ease this look is super simple to pull off — just roll up your fave pair of skinny jeans for spring or shop for a new pair for spring!
