Robert Pattinson & Kristen Stewart Ignore Fans — Are They Being Rude Or Scared?

Posted Tue, March 15, 2011 10:26am EDT

Reports from the set of the hit film claim the ‘Twilight’ twosome, as well as their costars, ignore fans who were so disappointed after waiting hours to see them!

It looks like any fans hoping to get a friendly greeting from Robert Pattinson or Kristen Stewart on the Breaking Dawn set shouldn’t hold their breath — the two ignored and ran pass bystanders March 14! Christine K. from On Location Tours Vancouver tweeted, “I don’t understand the effort Rob and Kristen make to avoid fans & photogs. I get the privacy but do the get who pays their salary? Giveback.” Ouch.

The actors were apparently trying to avoid fans so much, they jumped straight from the door of their car into the Orpheum Theatre where they were filming!

Christine went on to say, “Even Tom [Cruise] & Katie [Holmes] who are huge stars at least wave and make eye contact and Rob and Kristen run and hide like the fans are horrifying.” What’s the deal?

Rob and Kristen are not the only ones avoiding fans either, as evidently the entire cast was less than friendly and ignored everyone after filming ended a little after 8 pm.

Just minutes after Christina made her statement came similar reports from Brazil, where Rob and Kristen filmed the honeymoon scene for the upcoming flick. There, evidently, their lone fan acknowledgement was a brief trip to the balcony of their hotel!

What do you think HollywoodLifers — do Rob and Kristen owe their fans a greeting or are they right to stay private and shut off?

I feel their is no obligation either way it is your choice to support them and it is their choice to sign your autograph.

In my own right

Get over yourself is right, the studio pays their salaries. We pay to see the finished product, the film. This gives us no rights or privileges to their time or proximity. If you were the best widget maker in the world and a widget lover found out YOU were the maker of his/her favorite widget, do they have the right to follow you home from work, go through your trash, take pics of you through the Wendy’s window? They are actors, acting is their job, the movie is their product. When they leave the set, they leave their office and they are off the clock. What you pay for is a viewing rental of the video production. I wonder when it was exactly we got the idea that we “own” celebrities?

Why do you people care if they talk to you?! They’re just people. If I saw a ton of screaming girls jumping around like idiots waiting for me I’d run too. Stop stalking rich people. Honestly they aren’t that important. I mean would you want people following you and taking your picture everytime you went out? Prob not.

These two don’t care about the fans they constantly play them like fools. Rob is very good at playing his fans, one day he appeases the twilighters the next he appeases his maturer fans for WFE, they think their fans are idiots. It takes nothing to smile, wave then disappear into the building.

Maybe they should remember who pays their salaries, and therefore can make or break their future careers. If they don’t want the fans support, then they should quit the business. I’ve heard the local fast sood chains are hiring!!
