EXCLUSIVE: Savvy Rich Rocks Creator, Robin Rothfeld, Tells You How To Work Jewelry — Even To The Beach!

The woman behind the seriously chic line spills on how to look great on a budget and teaches you how to rock the hottest jewelry trends!

You’ve seen Robin Rothfeld‘s covetable jems on Gossip Girl, hanging from the ears, wrists, and necks of Serena, Lily, and Jenny, and despite how lavish her pieces may look, everything in her Rich Rocks collection is under $100! “I used to shop at Barney’s or Bendel’s and spend $100’s of dollars on costume jewelry for myself or my friends and I thought theres something missing,” Robin said. Her unique collection of quality, well-made costume jewelry has something for everyone — her fans include everyone from the young, stylish starlets to Barbara Walters! “You can layer it on, style yourself, and wear it everywhere — from the red carpet, to the beach, to dinner.”

Her celebrity fans keep growing, and include Kathie Lee Gifford, the ladies of The View, and even Gossip Girl‘s super chic stylist Eric Daman! “Taylor [Momsen] had on 11 pieces in one scene,” Robin gushed — but her recent excitement came from the prospect of working with Beyonce and Jennifer Lopez! “Beyonce is my favorite style icon,” she said. Robin went on to tell us how after Beyonce received some pieces, she texted a mutual friend saying, “OMG, just got the pieces, and I can’t wait to rock it!”

So, while piling on the bangles may be great for a glam night out, can you work the same look on the beach? According to Robin, “Jewelry on the beach is the hottest thing!” She says it’s a great way to feel comfortable and to divert the eyes from areas you may be self conscious about. “It definitely makes those insecurities go away, it completes the look and you don’t feel as naked, you feel more confident and comfortable on the beach when the sun is illuminating your bangles as you hold your beach tote.”

While mixing medals is cool for spring and summer, Robin says it’s going to be even hotter come fall! “I’m really focusing on that hammered gold and polished gold,” she said. “Mixing brushed and polished together and gold and silver together — we’re really moving in to mixing and matching.”

One of the most unique aspects to Rich Rocks is Robin’s hands-on approach — not only does she pick out every single piece and style and shoot her own campaigns, she also responds to costumer’s inquiries on a daily basis! “Even when I get orders online, sometimes I’ll throw in a really great, fun piece if I think it completes the look.” Now that’s what I call customer service!

So, what’s up next? Robin’s busy gearing up to launch a teen line, Rich Rocks Petities, a collection for children ages 8-16, with all pieces under $50! “It’s not your standard, little heart necklace,” she said of the line. “It’s a great way for girls to start getting into styling themselves and looking fashion forward and trendy!”
