The stylist-turned-designer showed off an effortlessly chic collection with a cool, ’70s vibe — and she shared her inspirations with us! Read on & check out my personal pics from the collection.
Stylist and now designer Rachel Zoe showed her spring 2012 collection in NYC on Sept. 12, where editors and celebrities turned out to take in Rachel’s looks. Her affinity for the ’70s was present in the silhouettes, patterns, and flounce sleeves — we love how wearable and feminine her collection is! We were lucky enough to chat with Rachel, who told us that aside from Bridget Bardot, her travels serve as inspiration.
“My inspirations are never conscious. You know, Bridget Bardot obviously — she’s always in my brain when I’m designing and when I’m styling but it’s never like I sit down and say, ‘Ok this is what’s inspiring me today,'” Rachel said.
“I’m inspired by looking at walls, I’m inspired by traveling and my surroundings.”
So, does she have a favorite in the collection? “I can’t pick favorites, it’s like picking a favorite baby — well I have a favorite baby,” Rachel joked. Check out more of my personal pics from the collection!
