President Obama Places Wreath At World Trade Center After Osama Bin Laden's Death.

HollywoodLife.com has exclusive photos of the touching ceremony — such a bittersweet moment.

President Obama commemorated the victims of the 9/11 terrorism attacks by heading to the site of the World Trade Center on May 5 and laying a wreath down in memory of those who perished and the families they left behind.

Earlier in the day, Barack met with family members of the fallen, as well as firefighters and police officers, to mark the death of Osama bin Laden.

Even though the capture and killing bumped his approval ratings, Barack wanted to make it clear September 11, 2001 was a day that would always be remembered, the Los Angeles Times reports.

“What happened on Sunday, because of the courage of our military and the outstanding work of our intelligence, sent a message around the world, but also sent a message here back home that when we say we will never forget, we mean what we say,” Barack said.

We’re so glad the victims of that day were not forgotten in all of the hoopla surrounding Osama’s death.
