Its not about race. She doesn’t have a nice physique. Like don’t they have proportions that should win this? Like a nice curvy shape, she has a boyish figure and their wrong choice will be proven at the Miss World finale. I don’t like her look at all.

Why would women in American still want to participate in beauty pageants? In fact I don’t even know why would its internationally recognized . What a sad thing for those women that fought feminism and equality? There should be a beauty pageants for men too. And, as educated as her why she’s so stupid to participate in such as stupid event. I can understand those who doesn’t have a head for books females uses their beauties as commodities .Well Miss American Indian all the education that you got from your parents just gone wasted, Use your brian to do something about children that is raped in Indian which is your ethnicity .

Whether or not people decide to participate in beauty pageants is solely their decision. Their choices will not affect you in any way, shape, or form. Two pieces of commentary are contradicting each other:
1) “What a sad thing for those women that fought feminism and equality? There should be a beauty pageants for men too”
2) “And, as educated as her why she’s so stupid to participate in such as stupid event. I can understand those who doesn’t have a head for books females uses their beauties as commodities .”

First, you rant about stereotypes in the beauty pageantry industry and how men should also be allowed to be able to participate in pageants . I’ve got nothing against your point there, but then you start stereotyping about women who aren’t strong education-wise relying on beauty as their only option. You cry that people shouldn’t stereotype , but you are stereotyping yourself. Nina is also an AMERICAN CITIZEN , meaning she was born AND raised over her, like the rest of us .She has just as much of a right to be Miss America as the rest of us do. Being Miss America isn’t only about beauty, it is also about personality and the way a young lady carries herself. Miss America is supposed to concern herself with the problems of AMERICA , hence the word Miss AMERICA. Participating in this beauty pageant is about women’s rights and empowerment . Also, She isn’t wasting money , nor is she throwing away her future. This is a hobby and she is still continuing her education. In fact, the winner gets $50,000 that goes towards their education. She is planning to be a cardiologist.

(P.S AMERICA has the highest ranking in rape -related crimes :) )

You must be an Indian American as i bet that you have no collage degree. In Europe we focus more in education than beauty as commodities . Mostly europeans women are more educated than American women. in America I bet the American caucasian female doesn’t finish college as other American ethnicity. You must be those teen mom that never even finish high school lol

Jacque
In Europe, your college is equivalent to our high school. You don’t attend middle school so your high school is called “college” The University system in the U.S. is vastly superior to that in Europeans hence the reason Europeans travel in droves to study in the United States. Also, Indian Americans are the most educated group of any population subset in the United States. Finally, your written English is piss poor and indicative of a European education.

This is America NOT Europe so end it there. In this country ones background should not matter. For those in the USA who do not like an Indian woman as a winner I have to ask how many of you have a history of pure English blood? The only true American is the American Indian. As far as why we focus on beauty pageants? Well sex and beauty sell. They always have and always will. Women look at men in weight lifting contest that way. This is America and if you do not like watching our shows then do not watch them. Oh but you have an education but could not figure that solution out. Get your money back!

Your posts are littered with spelling and grammatical errors (brian instead of brain …). And you talk about wasting an education? A good European education, hopefully, would have taught you to be open-minded and liberal and NOT a bigot (as your comments suggest).

Wow Jacque, PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!! are so narrow minded, you know women get raped in America or little girls everyday and really you as an american can do something for them instead of pinpointing others for their success. And also doctors do have hobbies as well as a normal person like you and me. People like your kin of mentality makes our society look very bad. Let’s be Americans not just little people with such low mentality.

You call her stupid……you are the stupid one. Why don’t you learn proper english. You are the stupid one. This was a Miss America pageant, not a beauty pageant! Maybe you need to go back and look at the bathing suit portion of the competition, she looks pretty curvy to me, she has a gorgeous figure. Evidently you are just jealous.
