It was back to nature for the Mulleavy sisters and Michael Kors for Spring 2011 while Narcisco Rodriguez show a muted collection of perfectly tailored dresses!
New York Fashion Week managed to save the best for last as Rodarte showed its most beautiful, brilliant and, gasp, wearable collection yet on Sept. 14! Kate and Laura Mulleavy‘s exquisitely done looks recalled the Northern California of the girl’s youth with its redwood vibes and stunning gold dresses. There were also a selection of lovely blue and white looks midway through the presentation that will no doubt become impossible to keep in stock once the collection hits shelves. For everyone who has ever dreamt of owning a piece by the uber talented sisters, Spring 2011 is your season!
Michael Kors meanwhile stuck to what he does best, classic resort like looks, but this time with a greener vibe. A grass like pattern was found on bottoms, swimsuits, and even dresses. He also showcased a great deal of khaki, keeping with the muted and subdued tone of the season.
No one, however, was more muted than Narcisco Rodriguez. The expert designer and tailor created a highly covetable collection of dresses and pantsuits that came as close to couture as ready to wear could possibly be. Some accents of color came in the form of a few red dresses featured in the collection.
