Was she an exciting style icon or an offensive look-at-me addict? The Video of The Year winner started the night tottering along in 12-inch Alexander McQueen ‘Armadillo” heels and decked out in a billowing Louis XIV-like red/gold/green tulle renaissance print Alexander McQueen “ballgown,” and the gagster didn’t stop there!
Her second look of the night was described by Gaga as her “roadkill” dress. The all black leather number, so heavy that Gaga could barely climb up on stage – by Armani – was topped off by a spiky crowning glory “mohawk-like” headband. She only managed to to climb up the stage stairs to accept the award with the help of several ” handlers” .
The third and most gagworthy gown for some was the raw meat number that she wore to accept her Video of the Year Award. The look was created by mixed media master designer Franc Fernandez. Complete with raw steak platforms and filet mignon hat, she quipped that she never thought in her life she would ever be asking Cher (who presented the award) to “hold her meat purse.” Hopefully, Cher isn’t a vegetarian. Gaga recently adorned the cover of Vogue Japan in similar raw meat style. Apparently, it was mostly composed of flank steak – how tender!
