Bonnie Says: Miley Cyrus Is An Oversexed Trainwreck Waiting To Happen!

Posted Tue, June 1, 2010 5:56pm EDT

Billy Ray and Tish Cyrus, are you completely cuckoo?

Do you really want your daughter Miley, 17, to be the next Britney Spears or Lindsay Lohan? Are you so caught up in the cash proceeds of Miley Inc. that you’re OK with your daughter feeling herself up on stage, in public, during her concerts? Are you really OK with her dressed in itsy bitsy thigh-baring costumes? Are you OK with her writhing around seductively in her “Can’t Be Tamed” video, and simulating a makeout session with two men?

This whole situation is wrong on so many levels. Let’s start with — it’s wrong for Miley to have agreed to play the child and teen character, Hannah Montana, for another year if she intended to behave like a stripper on stage.

Whether she likes it or not, she is making millions by playing Hannah, who is a role model for millions of little girls. No matter how many interviews Miley gives saying she doesn’t see herself as a role model, she has tacitly accepted that role by continuing to take money to play Ms. Montana.

In a way, she’s the Tiger Woods of teenage girls. When he accepted the platinum endorsement of repping American Express, he was “agreeing” to be a role model. She has made the same deal. And like Tiger, in reality she’s behaving like the devil.

When parents take their young daughters to see a Miley Cyrus concert — and yes, her major fans are 6 to 13-year-olds — they will be outraged by Miley’s suggestive moves, including pushing up her tiny top and touching her breasts, as she did May 29 in Lisbon, Portugal, at the Rock in Rio concert. (See the video below.)

This leads me to another reason that Miley’s behavior is wrong. It’s wrong because it’s ruining her Miley Cyrus “brand!” And the adults who are helping manager her career should know it.

Miley, I’m sure like most 17-year-olds, is in a big hurry to grow up. She’s personally desperate to throw off what she sees as the shackles of Hannah Montana. She can’t wait to be an adult star.

But she IS only 17, which means she’s prone to reckless behavior. And acting like a stripper on stage and in numerous photos, where she’s pulled her top up or down and shown her bra, is being reckless with the wholesome “brand” she’s built.

“She’s abandoning her core audience of young girls when there’s no guarantee she’ll get an older audience,” branding expert Samantha Ettus tells me. “I don’t think people are going to be comfortable with a sexy minor selling herself to other minors.”

As if Miley’s skimpy stage outfits weren’t enough to make her point that she’s not interested in appealing to the little girls who love her, she made sure to go out June 1 wearing a t-shirt with a topless Heidi Klum giving the finger to the world.

Ah, Miley — is that how you feel about your fans? It sure seems like it! Finally, Miley’s sexually exhibitionist behavior isn’t just wrong for her fans. It’s also wrong for her personally.

With dad Billy Ray and mom Tish condoning it, she’s been showing off sexually exhibitionist tendencies for some time, starting with her topless Vanity Fair cover, when she was just 15.

Then there was the pole dancing at the Teen Choice Awards in 2009, the bra-bearing episodes, the “Can’t Be Tamed” video, and now the breast-touching on stage!

Geez — what’s next for Miley? A sex tape? If she’s this turned on by sexually overt behavior, to get attention at 17, what’s she going to be doing at 18, 19, and 25?

Mr. and Mrs. Cyrus — you better worry because Miley’s right — unless you interfere while you still can before she turns 18 on Nov. 23, she won’t be able to be tamed! And in the end, she will pay the heaviest price for it.

Check out Miley’s latest over-sexed performance below:

I’ll give you a psychoanalysis: ‘Bonnie’ did not have a date in High School. She looked at the girls who were comfortable with their sexuality and were able to date the boys that Bonnie could only dream of having. Then she went home, alone, and wrote in her diary how WRONG “Anne” was for the popular boy she liked (who she never said one word to). She insists, even to this day, that any teenage girl who dresses what she thinks is provocative must be damaged with no self esteem. Bonnie is a sad, rejected 14 year old girl in a 50-some year old’s body. Bonnie-17 is not 7, or 10 or 13. Most 17 year olds are *gasp* having sex, and experimenting with marijuana and alcohol. I am guessing that this young woman is pretty restricted in terms of being able to do what most kids her age are doing (She can’t go to a prom and go out drinking all weekend after…..she can’t hook up with random guys once in a while….you better believe that if she was doing these things, they would be all over the tabloids the next day), so this is her way of feeling out her natural sexuality and being 17. If the worst thing your daughter does at 17 is dress and dance sexy then count yourself the luckiest person on EARTH. She is a GORGEOUS young woman getting lots of attention. There are no accounts that I am aware of her drinking or doing drugs or having, say, group sex on film. So LAY OFF! She is showing signs of being 17, not being a time bomb. I’m sorry that you are so jealous of a girl who is probably 1/3 your age, but get over it and try living your own life instead of ragging on someone elses.

If Disney truly objected to Miley’s behavior outside of “Hannah Montana”, they would have cut all ties with her. Hollywood demands its child stars behave like adults on the set, so kids like Miley grow up fast. They are exposed to an adult lifestyle at a much younger age. Miley has aspirations as a rock/pop singer, so she’s obviously trying to find her own look.
It’s difficult for a child star to make the transition to adult, because so many people still see them as innocent little kids. Shirley Temple and Michael Jackson both commented on how disappointed people would be when they would meet them, because people expected to see the little kiddie stars instead of the adults standing before them. Miley probably is fully aware of this and thus tries even harder to shake the Hannah image from people’s minds when she’s off the set.
But, as I stated earlier, Disney doesn’t seemed to be bothered by all of this if she is still playing Hannah. As long as the money from the Hannah Montana gravy train continues rolls in, they don’t care.

why are you psychoanaltzing a 17 year old girl. The only think I got out of this blog thing you wrote, bonnie, was that you must have had some serious body image issues because you are looking waaay too into this performance. Get over it and write something more relevant. Like YOU said, She is ONLY 17 so lay off a little and fix your deep rooted mental issues instead of attacking young girls, SHAME ON YOU!

the writer of this little blog about Miley GROWING UP is as pathetic as Heidi Montag. Do you not remember yourself at 17, give this girl a break and it is not wonder you write for some lame irrelevant gossip site than something that anyone would EVER take seriously, get a real life and a real job and maybe go to college for journalism or something. Your blog are AWFUL!

She’s behaving like TIGER WOODS? And like THE DEVIL? Those are idiotic comparisons and completely overshadow your argument that she should be a little less racy while simultaneously playing Hannah Montana. It’s embarrassing that someone of your stature would write such an over-the-top screed. You’ve made all your money your whole career capitalizing on people misbehaving; I’d be surprised if any of what you wrote above is even sincere.

This is more than ridiculous. It never fails to amaze me how sexually suppressed a lot of people still are – and far from reality. To compare Miley in a Sentence with Tiger Woods shows more about your tiny mind than anything else really. The whole entertainment industry is happy with putting people into a box and when they get older (newsflash – miley will grow up and lead her own non-hannah montana life)everybody seems to be shocked and disgusted etc.,.. this is major BS. What we have here is a young woman trying to find her way as an artist and a person and did it ever occour to anybody that she maybe wants to appeal to adults and that her fans are growing up too (yes – look at your daughters ladies and open your eyes)??? I know we see things differently in Europe sometimes but would somebody tell me, where exactly she is behaving oh so badly????? She lives with her boyfriend I believe(?) and leads a quiet life without scandals….get a grip! I think there are bigger problems out there than your not liking of Miley growing up?

Sorry but she is 17 and this is how normal 17 year olds are too…they want to be seen as sexy. Its the fault of our society if anything that only values women for their sexiness….we need to back off of her. Shes cute and has a lot going for her. These arent Hannah Montana concerts anyway…

Wow people are seriously taking this up their ass. Lol. Anyways I’m 16 was a fan the first day Hannah Montana aired. I will always follow her. Do I look up to her? No not really I have my parents to look up to. Miley Cyrus is a good performer, singer whatever you wanna call her. Her songs are awesome, and her career will go beyond what is expected. People act like Britney spears wasent like this. When her single ( hit me baby one more time) came out everyone was like “wow” but everyone liked it. Why can’t Miley cyrus be the same. She’s just a normal person that wants to grow up. All teens wanna grow up. People just have Miley bottled up in the Hannah good girl position still.

Bringing up Britney Spears is perfect because both of them seem to have gone from virginal type teenagers into slutty type personas, all for the sake of money and fame. Then they cry and complain that people are picking on them. If miley/Britney were adults targeting adults with their music, then I would`nt care. When they target young girls with this crap, then it becomes societies business and opens them up to criticism from parents and the public as a whole. Unfortunately, Miley/Britney and their handlers want to do what makes money and want us to shut up and accept it. NOT going to happen. Who wants to take bets on when Miley has her breakdown?

Why do people insist on equating growing up with sex? In order to grow up you need to have sex? In order to prove yourself as an adult you need to sexualize yourself? I think sex is a wonderful and natural part of life but it doesn’t make you a grown up. Miley is a smart one though because selling sex is the easiest way to make money in this society. That’s why the porn industry makes billions of dollars every year. And YES rubbing yourself on stage is selling sex. So congratulations to Miley, you grab your boobs and crotch on stage, you are SO GROWN UP!

If you, Mom, allow your children to get so wrapped up in a fictional character as a role model, then you should really write about yourself and your own failings as a parent. Last time I checked, Miley entertains people for cash. Don’t likey, don’t watchey! Don’t likey, don’t pay her! Don’t likey, stop trying to show your kids someone who has long been gone; the “innocent” Miley Stewart. I miss her too, but I’m capable of telling my kids what the difference is between a character and someone who is real. Trying to re-capture Miley Steward’s Disney innonence is like trusting BP to plug up an oil leak…it just ain’t gonna happen…tell your kids to follow someone else as a role model…maybe…someone who deserves the respect of being a role model, like Michelle Obama or her daughters. Anyone who raises kids to put value in Hollywood actors and actress as descent role models is as morally corrupt as a parent as the families and the actors who whore themselves out to be famous and call it “acting” or “singing”. Most of them are vagabons, with checkered pasts like drugs, alcohol, sex or jail. Your trying to critisize people like the Cyrus’ for parenting, yet Billy Ray Cyrus had two babies in the oven by two different women at the same time. And Trish Cyrus was a groupie looking to get her ticket to fame and fortune. The sugar coat all their history by claiming they are reborn Christians. Perhaps it works for them, but don’t be a sap and believe that there selling morality to your kids via a fictional program or that they even have a clue what morals are. Your criticism only reflects your naiveness as to what Hollywood offers the public, yes, and that includes Disney. Stop raising your kids in fantasy worlds, and keep them in the real world. That would be called good parenting.

Not suprisingly some of the people defending this little teenager whore are the same age and probably doing the same thing or worse. These young girls have no self-respect these days. They have no brain either.

I won’t be suprised when the sex tape comes out. Ten years from now this no-talent slut will be posing in Playboy for attention.

i am not a teenager, nor a slut, and i feel quite confident stating i’m more educated, worldly, and intelligent than you- based on this ignorant message you’ve typed. and, i’d defend miley against the likes of bonnie and someone like you any day. she’s a teenager maneuvering in a business you know nothing about, at a time when she’s still trying to figure out who she is, and you think it’s appropriate to call her a slut and a whore? who the hell are you? if you want to see a trainwreck, please, just go ahead and look in the mirror or watch your own children who will no doubt be doing worse than miley in rebellion from their repressive, judgmental, and closed-minded mother. the fact that you have the audacity to say she has no talent speaks volumes about your blind ignorance. whether you like her or not, whether you believe in buttoned-up virginity until marriage or not- the girl can sing. stating otherwise is just foolish.

yes. i’m annoyed because a grown woman is calling a teenager a slut and a whore. it’s not appropriate, especially under the circumstances presented here. i agree with you and hope miley knows that she doesn’t HAVE to take the sexy road- but she’s just a teenager. how the heck does she know what road she wants to take yet. some people ooze sexuality, some don’t. it’s not a crime for her to try to figure out where she fits in that scheme, and she certainly doesn’t deserve to be called a slut or a whore while she’s finding herself.

See what happens when you watch Miley, Ashley? It`s obviously made you want to suck a big one. Seriously though, our society has become too sexualized and it starts too young. Some of the comments on here just reinforce my belief that too many people in society (usually young and immature)accept this sexualized behaviour as normal and acceptable. I can`t help but feel that certain influences in the entertainment industry want to push whatever makes money and are willing to lead us into the gutter to achieve that. Ashley put a condom on that big one.

lol… smitty, i like you. i don’t disagree that this overt sexuality is becoming too normal and acceptable in american society. i’m sure there is a study somewhere about it all, and how it stems from the sexual repression of our forefathers or some such sh!t. i do, however, disagree with people calling a teenager a slut and a whore b/c she’s dressing in a way that is entirely consistent with many successful artists in her field. i think people should cut her some slack. she seems to be a respectful, monogamous, grounded girl who is just trying to transition to adulthood. she doesn’t deserve this scrutiny and name calling, though, i guess that’s the price you pay for being rich and famous.

She had no choice on doing season 4 of Hannah Montana. It was in her contract, and Disney exercised their option. If she had refused she could have been sued. Blame Disney if you want to blame someone. She told them far in advance she wanted to do more mature things. They didn’t care. She did as they asked, but she wasn’t about to let that stop her doing what she wanted to do, and it shouldn’t. She has another life outside of Hannah Montana, who BTW is a fictional character she plays. She performs at the same caliber as Beyonce, Britney and Lady gaga, and to compete she must do the same things they do. They are her role models. Maybe you need to start at the source when you criticize and tell those adult performer to clean up their act, because teenager including Miley are copying them, instead of starting in the middle of the problem with Miley.

Most of Miley’s fans were age 6-13 when Miley was 12. Now most of Miley’s fans are 11-18 with lots outside of that age range on both sides. Miley shouldn’t wait until Hannah Montana isn’t on the air anymore to express herself as an adult artist. That would take a decade!

Saying Miley shouldn’t do adult shows while Hannah Montana is still on is like saying you shouldn’t write this crap outside of the bathroom.

lol… love the bathroom analogy! lol… bonnie. calm down. first, it doesn’t appear to me that she even touched her breast, so get over it. second, as you guys pointed out, she doesn’t make millions from hannah— i think you said she gets 15k an episode, which is outrageously underpaid at this stage of her career. the “millions” that she made off of hannah in terms of an audience and residuals has already been made and one more season of hannah is essentially a loss to her financially b/c she could be making much more doing different things. i can’t imagine why she even bothered with another season except for some sort of loyalty or respect for the people she dealt with in that series and company. she’s making money for them, not really for herself at this point with that show. if she did the deal out of respect for the others affected, she deserves kudos and knows a lot more about guiding her career than you do. as for being oversexed- yah, for those of us with young children, it’d be much more palatable to see her have her sexual awakening away from the cameras- but, she’s hardly a trainwreck waiting to happen, and some of this sh!t isn’t even an honest sexual awakening— it’s just plotting her career and trying to make a serious cut from the childhood genre. i’m sure it’s all well thought out- much more so than your rant. i don’t think miley at her age should be allowed to run wild, but i think there is a lot more control over her than you think- AND, she seems like a very polite and grounded young woman who should not be branded a trainwreck or devil by anyone, much less a gossip columnist who makes a living distorting the truth in order to get hits on a fluff website.
