The First Lady is managing to stay fashion-forward and stylish, while also keeping covered up to show respect to the Indian people! She’s loved worldwide!
President Barack Obama and his First Lady, Michelle, are on their first presidential trip to India and Michelle wasted no time charming the country with her incredible outfit choices! Check out her six totally different looks in three days!
In order to pay respect to the Indian people and their customs, the First Lady has only worn skirts and dresses that hit below her knee and tops that cover her shoulders completely. Despite her modest clothing, the 46-year-old fashion icon has managed to keep her outfits relevant, fashionable and colorful at the same time.
During a visit to Humayun’s Tomb with her husband Nov. 7, Michelle chose a conservative, 1950s-style baby blue cotton dress with a simple short-sleeved cardigan in the same color paired with shiny, gold kitten-heeled pumps. The next day, she dressed more formally in a modest silk blouse tucked into a floor-length shiny silver skirt for a meeting in New Delhi. On the same day, she also visited the National Handicraft and Handlooms Museum and sported the multi-colored bangles she had purchased as souvenirs.
We love how Michelle always manages to change up her look — even with time and style constraints!
