The First Lady & The Hollywood Elite Descend On Haiti!

Michelle Obama plus the combined star power of Demi Moore, Sean Penn and Gerard Butler? Just think of all the good they’ll do!

What do Michelle Obama, Ben Stiller, Demi Moore, Olivia Wilde, Sean Penn, Gerard Butler, Shakira and Susan Sarandon have in common? They all ventured to Haiti this week on behalf of Artists for Peace and Justice, a charity group working to re-build the education system in Haiti post-earthquake.

First Lady Michelle Obama traveled from DC to Haiti to join forces with the group of A-listers April 12 to visit a refugee camp managed by Sean Penn’s Jenkins-Penn Humanitarian Relief Organization in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti.

Demi, 47, co-founder of the Demi and Ashton Foundation, and Susan, 63, snapped photos with a young refugee at the St. Damien’s Children’s Hospital April 12, while Michelle, 46, traded high-fives with students at a Haitian school April 13.

It’s great to see so many high-profile celebrities and politicians unite for such a good cause! While the catastrophic earthquake happened back on January 12, over 50,000 quake survivors are still homeless and living on a Haiti golf course-turned makeshift camp. Isn’t it nice to see celebrities using their fame for a good cause?
