Michelle Obama’s Most Memorable Looks From Last Four Years

In honor of her birthday, (and the upcoming inauguration!), we’re taking a look back at some of the best get-ups the fashionable First Lady has flaunted in the past four years!

Always looking appropriate, classic and chic, the First Lady has donned some of the most gorgeous gowns and shorter dresses over the last four years. Her styles have left lasting impressions and inspired many women all over the country. Happy 49th birthday, Michelle Obama! With her fashion sense and flawless appearance, she sported some of the best ensembles we’ve ever seen. She is getting ready for the inauguration of her husband, President Barack Obama, on Jan. 21, and there is no doubt in our minds that she has a great piece picked out for the special occasion.

Back in 2009 when Obama was first inaugurated, Michelle showed up to the event wearing a white chiffon one-shoulder gown, made by the young and new designer, Jason Wu. This obviously was a huge deal for such an up-and-coming designer, and it brought him much success. This gown was so elegant and perfect for her, and she made a lasting impression on the people of America.

Another frock that completely wowed everybody was her Tracy Reese sleeveless dress paired with her J. Crew pink pumps. What a statement! She debuted this ensemble at the 2012 Democratic National Convention. Such a modern look was refreshing to see on a public figure, and she is living proof that it is possible to be both fun and professional at the same time. Not to mention, she looks super young! We commend her for being able to blend high and low, wearing, (and rewearing!), both high-fashion frocks and affordable finds.

When Michelle was on the cover of Vogue back in 2009, she chose her outfits unlike many celebrities who pose for magazine shoots — and her get-up was very different compared to the buttoned-up skirt suits you would expect to see on a woman in her position. She loves fashion and know what looks best on her. She sported another piece by Wu, increasing his fame even more!

Some other major designers she has sported in the past include Michael Kors, Peter Soronen, Tom Ford, and many more. Be sure to watch the inauguration on Jan. 21 to see what her next amazing choice of dress is! Who is she going to wear? We’ll just have to find out then. Comment on what you think, HollywoodLifers! Which look was your favorite?
