I am from Rio, and the majority of tourist that visit the statue pose like this. As a matter of fact, the photographers actually tell you to pose that way, or hold your hand out as if he were standing in your palm. I don’t believe it is necessarily them “trying” to be disrespectful… Then again, I could be wrong in regards to the message they could be wanting to send. I will say this, I CANNOT STAND Kanye, and either does Brazil!!!

(Mat 7:18)
Here is depicted the root, the tree and the fruit it bears The whore, the blasphmer and the image of a falsechrist, the tree of western christendom.

When people visit a Holy Land, they usually fall to their knees to pray for Jesus’ forgiveness, Blessings, and Salvation. To take a picture of the statue is allowed and not considered inappropriate. However, to pose as the statue, is sacrilegious, therefore insulting to The Lord. We are all sinners and will never be worthy enough to consider ourselves on the same level of God. This is just my opinion.

Take a pill already! the hands on the statue are pointed upward and their hands are clearly pointed downward. Jesus broke bread with sinners. Leave them alone! Just the fact that they visited the statue is enough. NO ONE knows their relationship with their God. Leave alone and pick on someone else!
